Naomi Watts attended the Nirav Modi U.S. Boutique grand opening at Nirav Modi Boutique on Tuesday (September 8) in New York City.

While I really like the sexy, modern vibe of this David Koma Fall 2015 dress, I don’t like it on Naomi.

Mostly because of the horrible way she styled it. In fact my first reaction was, “what’s with the old lady hair and OTT earrings?”

They totally ruin this look for me. With those elements I can’t enjoy the dress.

It looks cool on the runway but is totally lost on Naomi. The hair is tragic, those gaudy earrings don’t belong and the zip down turns the collar into an 80s look.

She looks amazing, I love the dress and the hairstyle.

I actually love her hairstyle & jewelry…she looks radiant. But the dress and shoes just look awkward on her…maybe the dress needs someone more statuesque.

Actually thought this was Calvin Klein. Looks kinda similar to the gown Selena Gomez wore at the VMAS. Anyway, this is really boring and honestly seems just pointless to me. She can do better.

I think this would’ve suited someone of taller stature like Gwyneth Paltrow – but with the zipper done all the way up a la runway version. I’m not a fan of the zipper being down and the flared collar. In saying that, had she styled with a sleek low bun, simple stud earrings and maybe a delicate necklace, maybe she would’ve pulled off this look.

I have been loving David Koma — until now.

I actually thought this was Givenchy… lol.
The dress itself is okay (although I don’t like the sleeves), but Naomi really didn’t wear it well at all, she should have made this a fun and youthful look, but did the opposite with the hair and the styling… oh no!

wow, she took 10 years in just 10 seconds ! But she is beautiful nonetheless.

The hair is aging and the earrings are too much. The dress and shoes are fine. A more youthful hairstyle would have helped tremendously.

The whole look feels very dated and aging.

      Agreed

Yes, I don’t like the styling either. But, my biggest problem are the peplum sleeves, don’t really like this thing.

I only saw the top half at first, roughly until the neckline and I was very nearly blown away. With a sleek, perfectly fitted suit the hair would have been fine, the eye-catching jewelry and the chic colour.

…and then I scrolled down. WTF, Naomi.

      Collar… ladida.

Don’t know what it’s like where you are, but in this era of climate change, inside or outside, wearing hair up/”old lady style” is the wisdom of the time.

All I’m gonna say is: her face is gorgeous.
