Alicia Vikander In Valentino Couture – ‘Macbeth’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Alicia Vikander swept onto the scene at the ‘Macbeth’ premiere at the 68th annual Cannes Film Festival on Saturday (May 23) in Cannes, France.

Maintaining her quietly sophisticated approach, taken up a few notches, the Swedish star donned a Valentino Spring 2015 Couture silver velvet gown.

The richly luxe appeal of this dress was heightened by the modern cape-style train while the corset bodice had all the elegant influence of classic period-inspired style—minus the runway’s sheer chiffon shirting.

Integrating her Boucheron jewels gracefully without overpowering the dress, she finished the look with a softly pulled-back bun.

I was half surprised not to see her in Louis Vuitton, which she has been wearing throughout the festival, fulfilling her new role as ambassador for the brand. Did you like her turn to Valentino?
