Elizabeth Banks In Emilia Wickstead – ‘Pitch Perfect 2’ Paris Premiere

Elizabeth Banks In Emilia Wickstead - 'Pitch Perfect 2' Paris Premiere

Elizabeth Banks attends the ‘Pitch Perfect 2’ Paris premiere at UGC Cine Cite on Tuesday (April 28) in Paris, France.

Upon seeing this all black look consisting of a high-neck Emilia Wickstead Fall 2015 dress, styled with a Anya Hindmarch ‘Crisp’ packet clutch, Sophia Webster pumps and Ileana Makri diamond curtain earrings, I asked myself – should I be worried?

The one lady I rely upon (other than Solange Knowles, Anya O’Reilly and Gillian Jacobs) to bring some colour to the red carpet is doing a Jennifer Aniston? Say it ain’t so?

But in reality Elizabeth is showcasing that she has more than one string to her bow. It’s doesn’t have to be Elie Saab Couture for all premieres all of the time.

I love that this look is visually striking, while embodying a subtle sheen that no doubt garnered envious looks.

The dress is beautiful. I’m actually glad she didn’t try to inject any color, I think this looks best as a striking, all-black look.

Hair and makeup are on point.

Super chic. Her glam squad did a great job in the hair and makeupand I love the subtle shimmer of the dress of the dress.

I like it. Its not her usual exciting color and drama but she looks good. Her makeup is especially lovely here.

It might be all black but she looks amazing.

Some people think that Elizabeth overdresses but imo, she is always event appropriate.
For a huge franchise like HG, she goes big and for a comedy which she directed, she’s more subdued. I love it.

Kill me already! Can someone say HOT! This has to be Elizabeth’s sexiest appearance. She’s working it! BDOTW!

Flawless. I love how Elizabeth Banks is not afraid of color and pattern but I also loves how she shakes things up by rocking a perfectly put together all-black outfit.

      Oops, Love not loves

This look is great, she looks flawless. Let’s take into consideration this is not a huge franchise like Hunger Games so we can’t expect her to dress for the Oscars every event.

    I love it.
It’s beautiful and sophisticated. Black doesn’t necessarily means boring.

I agree. I don’t get why people think an all black look is always bad. It’s actually one of the most bold looks a woman can do. She just has to do it correctly. I don’t find this boring at all. it’s sexy, sophisticated, and striking.

Exactly ! Agree in all points.

I don’t mind when people wear black occasionally. I dislike it all the time. In any event, I am liking what Banks is serving up these days — no big, Oscar-ish gowns, just chic and sharp looks, perfectly in sync with the events she is attending imo.

The dress is fine. It’s just the accessories dulling it down.

  13. Britta April 29, 2015 at 11:41 am #

She’s the director of this movie. And therefor it would be inappropriate with big gowns. This is a chic director look.

  14. Yeliz April 29, 2015 at 11:07 am #

I’m loving this, she looks so chic. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a coloured outfit to get me excited.

+1 I like black especially when it’s done like this.

I personally love this. It’s simple, elegant and suited for her role as producer/director.

I absolutely love this look. Über chic. That hair, thise earings… One of her best outings, much better than the Saabs.

    • Marcel April 29, 2015 at 9:24 am #

      *those earings

    • gabis April 29, 2015 at 12:51 pm #

      I agree.

    • Dolly April 29, 2015 at 1:41 pm #

I totally agree. I much prefer this to her other somewhat too cutsy offerings. We have to remember she isn’t 18 anymore and I think this is extremely elegant

  17. lydia April 29, 2015 at 9:22 am #

we seem to be forgetting the fact she is the director now, whole different role of responsibility. remember Angelina Jolie’s Ralph and Russo dress and Sophia Coppolla’s clothes, yeah it’s a different style.

    Elizabeth is amazing

Awaiting your comments about Gisele Bündchen, Helena Bordon and Laura Neiva on the party of Vogue Brasil

Too much of one-note blackness, it weighs her down, the top is bulky and unflattering, the conservative length looks odd.
