Eva Longoria’s Seven Wardrobe Changes For The 2014 NCLR ALMA Awards

The American Latino Media Arts Awards (ALMA Awards) celebrating the best American Latino contributions to music, television and film was hosted by Eva Longoria on Friday (October 11) in Pasadena, California, which saw the actress make seven wardrobe changes.

Look 1: Eva made quite an entrance, sweeping the red carpet wearing a Gabriela Cadena white strapless gown with gold embroidery. The dramatic piece was simply styled with a low ponytail and Martin Katz earrings. I can’t say I’m 100% crazy about the gown, but Eva is most definitely making it work for her.

Look 2: In the press room Eva dazzled once again, this time wearing a beaded micro-mini long-sleeved dress by Emilio Pucci with Oscar Tiye shoes and Martin Katz jewels. While I love this dress, it is doing nothing for Eva except making her look boxy.

Look 3: Backstage she wowed again in another white strapless gown by Gabriela Cadena. This gown with gold leather detailing is much preferred over the first as it feels more modern. I wish she had worn this on the red carpet.

Look 4: I love the colour of this saffron-yellow Bibhu Mohapatra Fall 2014 strapless gown against Eva’s caramel skin tone. The gold sandals were perfect for this look.

Look 5: Opting for another Emilio Pucci gown, I love how the details on this gorgeous tulle and leather cut-out turtleneck beaded gown don’t fade into the background.

Look 6: Working another high-neck gown, this lace design would’ve been my favourite, mostly for the electrifying hue, but the unfortunate placement of embroidery around her nether regions threw me off this look.

Look 7: This cape-like fitted design from Jean Pierre Braganza’s Spring 2015 collection would’ve been perfect in a rich plum hue. My feeling is that grey was too sombre for this event.
