Cate Blanchett’s New York Street Style

Cate Blanchett's New York Street Style 13 August 2014

Cate Blanchett is currently in New York, where she is starring in the Broadway show ‘The Maids’.

She may be queen of the red carpet and voted by Vanity Fair as one of the best-dressed women in the world, but when it comes to street style she likes to keep it casual, opting for simple separates with some lust worthy arm candy.

Look One: Donning black overalls she pepped up the look with some high-end accessories, including her silver Tod’s Military mini bag and Roger Vivier ‘Ballerine’ studded flats. It may not be what you would expect from Cate, but it’s very well co-ordinated.

Look Two: I love how she paired her distressed turned-up pair of jeans with a navy 3.1 Phillip Lim Pre-Fall 2014 sweater with a playful poodle head emblazoned across the front for a more fun look. A black Roger Vivier ‘Ines’ shopper, tri-colour sandals plus shades rounded out this look.

Look Three: Earlier today she was spotted in Midtown Manhattan wearing a look which showed she travelled with more than just black and navy. This time she wore a shiny olive bomber jacket with a grey jumpsuit. I’m loving the mash of colours here with the addition of the burgundy Roger Vivier shoulder bag and taupe Givenchy tote. I saw a green bomber jacket in Topshop earlier today but I shied away from it, deeming it to be too much of an 80s throwback, but if the Queen has given the piece the seal of approval, I may just go back tomorrow and try it on.
