Crystal Renn In Alberta Ferretti – 27th Annual Footwear News Achievement Awards

Crystal Renn attended the 27th Annual Footwear News Achievement Awards, held yesterday at the IAC Building in New York City.

The model found inspiration in Alberta Ferretti’s Fall 2011 collection, donning a taupe overlay dress embellished with allover, floral-inspired beading and embroidery. It was only half recognizable to the design that originally took to the runway, having been modified with a new, off-the-shoulder V-neckline and nude, full-body lining.

Adding to the glint of the gown, she accessorized with flower-shaped, metal earrings and a crystal-studded clutch. At an event such as this, no ordinary pair of shoes would do. Crystal stepped up with her Gianvito Rossi gold glitter-flecked sandals.

An exaggerated, Cleopatra cat-eye and an intricate, tightly braided updo completed her ornate entrance.

Despite the highly decorative overtones, the look is still seamlessly balanced with its subdued metallic elegance. Do you agree?
