30th Annual Fashion Group International Night Of Stars Red Carpet RoundUp

Fashion Star 1

A collection of other haute guests joined Miley Cyrus and Alexa Chung at the 30th Annual Night of Stars, presented by Fashion Group International, held yesterday at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City. Here, a look at their statement-making entrances.

Zoe Kravitz: The starlet assured us that the cropped top trend is still alive and kicking with an Alexander Wang ensemble featuring a reptilian-embossed bralette and high-waisted long skirt. With such a strong, skin-baring moment, I would have preferred to see slightly more understated styling, rather than her braided updo and supremely smokey eye.

Joan Smalls: The model posed in a plunging Alexander Wang tuxedo halter jumpsuit that balanced a carefree and come-hither attitude with its daring lines, yet sporty dropped waist and pockets. She topped it off with wavy ponytail and and a pair of metallic-laced cage sandals.

Taylor Schilling: Working a Zuhair Murad white frock, embellished with black stencil flowers, the ‘Orange is the New Black’ star stayed far away from her character’s colours. She did add a punch via a forest-green Vince Camuto clutch and a magenta lip, finishing the ensemble with Nancy Newberg jewels and Kurt Geiger ankle-strap sandals.

Doutzen Kroes: Vamping it up in a figure-flaunting, black Missoni crochet-knit gown, the model pulled off this sultry siren look with a sophisticated spin that few others could manage. And she didn’t overdo the styling, with only a few well-placed jewels, a loose ponytail and berry lip as the effortless final flourishes.

Kate Upton: Donning a shimmering crimson Azzedine AlaĂŻa body-con gown, the model accented her curves. But, I couldn’t stop focusing on that too-large and too-gold Louis Vuitton clutch.

Karlie Kloss: The statuesque cat walker covered up in black blouse paired with an richly embellished Prabal Gurung skirt, all edged up with studded metallic buckle sandals.
