Eva Mendes In Dolce & Gabbana – Late Show with David Letterman

Eva Mendes In Dolce & Gabbana - Late Show with David Letterman

Now this is more like it.

We collectively disliked Eva Mendes’ last look, which I would liken to a tiger wearing a kitten costume; however, the tigress was out to play when she arrived at the Ed Sullivan Theatre in New York City yesterday for a guest appearance on the ‘Late Show with David Letterman’.

Eva wore a sexy Dolce & Gabbana animal-print long-sleeved dress with an embroidered neckline, which was accented with a green leather belt and styled with knee-high taupe boots.

Even behind those chic Thierry Lasry sunglasses, I can still feel her smouldering eyes.

This is the Eva I know and love. One should always play to ones strengths.

She’s channeling ’80s chic in a fun way–never thought I’d say those words! The coat over her arm is clashing, but take that away and it works (especially compared to her last look).

This is freaking awesome. I would steal this look, head to toe! (Okay, I might tone down the footwear a little, but still). BDOTW contender imo!

I absolutely LOVE the dress, especially on her!
But, other than the hair, the styling is terrible.
If she had just kept it simple, with plain black accessories, and had let the dress do all the talking, this would have been fantastic.

As it is, she still looks good — but …..

I obviously just don’t ‘get’ this woman’s style (I feel the same about her career) because for as far back as I can remember I haven’t liked any of her looks. Some of the pieces are individually good, here and in the past, but there’s just something about the way she keeps putting things together that never works for me. She’s one of the worst dressers I can think of.

I feel like she’s channeling/copying Anna Wintour and that is not a compliment.

I like her dress but the boots don’t go with it.

Unfortunately the dress is not great enough to be combined with such boots and coat and get away with it. I personally think this is awful. Just as bad as her previous look but for different reasons.

This is not a word I use often, because it’s quite cringey, but she is FOXY!!! So sexy in that. Impressed!

I know it’s cold in NYC, but those boots, no!

If you are a sexy women ,you can not wear baby birthday dresses 🙂 Now it is really a good choice for her after a long time…

  15. naya March 20, 2013 at 14:12 #

i am really sorry to say this but i think she is one of the most worst-dressed celebs there is!!

  16. Noemi March 20, 2013 at 14:01 #

I usually love animal prints, but not this one. Plus, the boots are very ugly.

  17. liz March 20, 2013 at 13:58 #

The dress is hot but the boots. Oh, dear god, the boots. She ruined this beautiful dress with those things.

    • Prudence March 20, 2013 at 18:34 #

agreed. what the hell was the stylist thinking when she paired it with those aweful shoes!! I mean an ankle boot would have been fine but those ones are hideous. This is not a good look.

  18. Christine March 20, 2013 at 13:32 #

This is more like her style.

  19. Yeliz March 20, 2013 at 13:29 #

I’m not a fan of animal prints but this is so Eva and she looks great in this dress. I don’t like the boots though.

    • Rashmi March 20, 2013 at 13:45 #

Agree! And this is more like her.

I’m suffering from whiplash, lol, kitten to tigress is right. Trying to ignore the coat and boots. Don’t really like the dress either but yes a far better look for Eva. I’d like to see her in a better rendition of animal print. I just don’t like D&G that much.
