Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Models @ The Vogue Foundation Gala

Taking a break from strutting the runway, a bevy of models attended the Vogue Foundation Gala during Couture Fashion Week held at the Palais Galliera on Wednesday (July 9) in Paris, France.

Joan Smalls: The model wore an exotic piece from Givenchy’s Fall 2014 collection which featured a sleeveless dress with a snakeskin bodice with an embellished neckline and a pleated sheer skirt. As always, a perfect 10 from H2T.

Karlie Kloss: The model wore a slinky black frock with diamante spaghetti straps and an asymmetrical-cut skirt styled with Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals and a bronzed clutch. As always, I find her red carpet style to be like a match which just won’t ignite.

Anja Rubik: The model wore an Atelier Versace Fall 2014 look, donning a white shirt and a shimmering silver ultra mini skirt styled with Versace black peep-toe boots with gold hardware and a silver choker. There is nothing appealing to me about this look.

Karlie Kloss In Donna Karan Atelier - Make-A-Wish Metro New York Annual Gala

Karlie Kloss attended the Make-A-Wish Metro New York Annual Gala, ‘An Evening of Wishes’, held at Cipriani Wall Street on Thursday (June 12) in New York City.

The statuesque model may be the best runway walker, but her red carpet style doesn’t always impress me much.

That changed last night when she glided down the red carpet wearing a Donna Karan Atelier beautiful blush silk chiffon draped strapless gown styled with nothing more than a pendant necklace and flat sandals.

What also captivates me here is the dewy glow created by shimmering bronzer to give her a sun-kissed look.

I know what you’re thinking – it’s impossible to go wrong with a Donna Karan Atelier gown – and I agree, so let’s not put up the bunting just yet.

CFDA 1

Amid the crush of starlets and designers at the 2014 CFDA Fashion Awards on Monday (June 2), the models definitely had their moment, too. They strutted out a range of dazzling, directional and sometimes daring looks at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall in New York City.

Joan Smalls: Putting her statuesque height to good use, Joan worked her midnight-navy Prabal Gurung draped, cutout gown to sexy effect also flaunting an Angelina leg through the thigh-high slit. She styled the look with metallic ankle-tie sandals and a mod fringe bang, but the gold choker necklace was unnecessary here.

Alessandra Ambrosio
: The Victoria’s Secret cat-walker took a red-hot approach in a Nonoo strapless gown featuring a structured bodice with a crossover ribbon tie at the back. She accessorized with Jennifer Fisher jewels, including a sharp, diamond-pointed pair of earrings.

Karlie Kloss In Chanel Couture - amfAR Cinema Against Aids Gala

Karlie Kloss returned to the red carpet this evening (May 22) for the annual amfAR Cinema Against AIDS gala held at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cap d’Antibes, France.

Following her disappointing Valentino look for the opening ceremony, this Chanel Fall 2011 Couture look is a vast improvement, although the navy dress, accented with tonal and silver pearls, looks like something Anna Wintour would wear.

Styled with Bulgari, the model, as previously, opted for comfortable flats for this outing.

Much improved, or will you never get her red carpet style?

Karlie Kloss In Valentino - ‘Grace of Monaco’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere & Opening Ceremony

Karlie Kloss took to the red carpet for the ‘Grace of Monaco’ premiere, which also served as the opening ceremony of the 67th Annual Cannes Film Festival this evening (May 14) in France.

The model has a great runway walk, but her red carpet game has never impressed me.

Case in point, she’s aged by this Valentino Spring 2014 tri-colour lace gown by several years.

Just because it’s sheer, doesn’t make it sexy.

File this under ‘What were you thinking?’ and quite possibly WDOTN.

Chopard Green Carpet Collection jewels and flat sandals completed her look.

Models @ The Met 1

It’s the time you’ve all been waiting for, Model @ The Met, where we take a look at all the leggy beauties who took to the red carpet for the 2014 Met Gala in New York City on Monday (May 5).

Liu Wen: There is only one thing 100% guaranteed on Met Gala night: a Zac Posen gown will shut down the red carpet. Liu Wen worked this green strapless ballgown to perfection. Styled with David Yurman jewels and a black clutch, the next few words won’t come as a surprise: best-dressed nominee.

Georgia May Jagger: The British model wore a custom Mugler black and white lined slinky gown with a plunging neckline and satin trim styled with Sergio Rossi asymmetrical
‘Dali’ pumps. This gown is a first for the fashion house’s new creative director David Koma.
