Swarovski’s Times Square Opening Celebration

Swarovski’s Times Square opening celebration on Thursday (April 12) brought out the beauties to watch an official ribbon cutting ceremony with brand ambassador, Karlie Kloss, followed by a Times Square-inspired celebration at Hudson Mercantile.

Karlie Kloss: The supermodel had a girly moment in a cotton candy pink Alex Perry dress. The pastel colour and frills were tempered by the low neckline and Saint Laurent blazer draped over her shoulders. Swarovski jewels added some sparkle.

Selita Ebanks: Embracing bold patterns, the Cayman beauty was clad in a Monse Spring 2018 suit. She opted to style it sans shirt with the sensual plunging neckline counteracting the menswear-inspired oversized check. Taking allowances for the oversized fit, it’s a shame the finish isn’t crisper as the pieces have a sagging effect, making them lose their tailored sharpness. Even just hemming the pants would have made such a difference.

Morena Baccarin: The ‘Gotham’ actress also embraced pattern with a Self-Portrait crochet pleated dress. The top has a mesmerizing intricate finish. It’s juxtaposed with the graphic print on the skirt. Some might find the combination disjointed. I think it could have succeeded but the too-long hem is literally bringing the ensemble down. It could also have done without the slit.

Karlie Kloss In Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini & L’Agence – ‘Iron School Talk’ Session

As a global ambassador for the Flatiron School, Karlie Kloss spoke at an ‘Iron School Talk’ session on Monday (April 9) in London.

One thing we often notice with the supermodel is she can play it safe, but here that classic aesthetic served her well.

I love how this Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini shrunken blazer provided a vibrant, fresh take on plaid—bringing it into more spring-like territory—when styled with L’Agence ‘Margot’ high-rise skinny jeans.

We might look at her Stella Luna coral-pink pumps and wish for them to be a bit closer to the pink hue in the jacket. But, that would be nitpicking.

With soft waves and glowing makeup, the whole look was certainly in A-plus territory for Karlie.

Front Row @ Calvin Klein Fall 2018

There was to be no shortage of stars on the front row at the Calvin Klein Fall 2018 show, held on Tuesday (February 13), where the looks were just as diverse as the ladies themselves.

Nicole Kidman: I will always struggle with how satiny fabrics photograph, but seeing this Calvin Klein Spring 2018 look translated off the runway on Nicole, and I think she did it justice—even in spite of its cowgirl shirt-meets-retro diner uniform mood.

Lupita Nyong’o: Not only was the periwinkle hue of the blouse a radiant offering, the drama of the pouf sleeves added a layer of girly romance–to which the black skirt merely acted as the canvas to celebrate it.

Margot Robbie: I love how the ‘I, Tonya’ actress took this Calvin Klein Fall 2017 jacket and stripped away the rest of the elements to make a dress. It had an insouciant chicness about it; a vibe that was only furthered by her mismatched sandals, giant hoop earrings, and slicked-back bun.

The Broad And Louis Vuitton Celebrate Jasper Johns: ‘Something Resembling Truth’

Miranda Kerr and Karlie Kloss stepped out at Louis Vuitton and The Broad’s celebration of Jasper Johns: ‘Something Resembling Truth’ on Thursday (February 8) in Los Angeles, California, where they were both suitably outfitted in head-to-toe Louis Vuitton for the occasion.

Miranda Kerr: Her growing baby bump might not be clearly visible from this angle, but the Australian beauty’s fitted Louis Vuitton gown glided over her changing shape. There is a lack of superfluous details in the style, so the focus was celebrating her pregnancy in an elegant fashion.

Karlie Kloss: Also in black, the supermodel showed some leg in a Louis Vuitton ensemble. The cuteness of the neckline ruffles was tempered by the dark colour palette and the chunky accessories from the designer, creating a hard and soft effect.

Karlie Kloss In Vivetta – The 2018 MAKERS Conference

Karlie Kloss was one of the guest speakers at The 2018 MAKERS Conference on Tuesday (February 6) in Los Angeles, California.

The model opted to showcase her print personality in this Vivetta Fall 2017 two-piece look with a mix of colours that worked in the smart, understated settings.

However, I do wish she had opted to picked up one of those bright hues from the print when selecting her shoes, or at least kept the runway waist-tie.

The look was styled with Sara Weinstock and Graziela Gems jewels.

Karlie Kloss In Carolina Herrera – Carolina Herrera Fragrance Launch

Karlie Kloss struck a sophisticated pose at the Carolina Herrera fragrance launch, celebrating the new ‘Good Girl’ fragrance, on Thursday (January 25) in London, England.

The supermodel is the face of the campaign so I was a bit surprised that she opted for a dress from the Carolina Herrera Spring 2016 collection.

It might not have been straight off the runway, but it embodied the brand’s classic femininity.

She heightened the elegance with red lipstick and classic black pumps.

What leaves a lasting impression on me is the way the sheer trim creates a trompe l’oeil effect, giving the illusion of a collar and pleats.

Illusion details are certainly nothing new but this fabrication made them feel as fresh as the white hue of the frock.

Karlie Kloss In David Koma – Out In New York

Karlie Kloss stepped out in New York on Tuesday (December 19).

The model donned a David Koma Spring 2018 dress which was topped with a coordinating coat draped over her shoulders.

I would have loved to see the frock’s full neckline, but given the winter temperatures and her expression, she was wise to layer.

Her simplified version of the dress saw some of the silver embellishment removed and the mini length replaced by a fluted hem.

The result was an elegant ensemble that had an effortless flair.
