Sarah Jessica Parker In Vera Wang & J. Mendel Couture – 2017 Golden Globe Awards & People’s Choice Awards

Sarah Jessica Parker attended the 2017 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday (January 8) before winning Favourite Premium Series Actress at the People’s Choice Awards 2017 on Wednesday (January 18) in LA.

2017 Golden Globe Awards: We always expect SJP to bring her own quirky, eclectic style to the red carpet. Sometimes it works and, well, sometimes it just doesn’t—like here. She single-handedly turned the red carpet into a wedding aisle with this Vera Wang Fall 2017 Bridal gown, the sleeves of which were the worst offender.

2017 People’s Choice Awards: The original presentation of this J Mendel Fall 2016 Couture bronze metallic dress was mesmerizing. Sadly, SJP cut her version short, added sleeves, and removed the cutouts, turning it into a cross between period costume and bad prom dress.

Priyanka Chopra In Sally LaPointe – 2017 People’s Choice Awards

Priyanka Chopra took home the Favourite Dramatic TV Actress trophy at the People’s Choice Awards 2017 on Wednesday (January 18) in LA.

The ‘Quantico’ star was seen to be tickled pink with her win, so her Sally LaPointe Spring 2017 peachy-pink, two-piece ensemble was rather apropos.

The playful skirt was dripping in long fringe and just begging for shimmying and twirling, but I wish she had opted for a lighter colour of shoe as in the original runway presentation.

Ali Larter In Zac Posen – 2017 People’s Choice Awards

Ali Larter took a turn down the red carpet at the People’s Choice Awards 2017 on Wednesday (January 18) in LA.

This Zac Posen Spring 2017 design was rendered in a colour that was radiant for the actress.

For Spring, Zac Posen brought elements of his signature gowns to daytime looks and shorter dresses. With Ali’s frock, it was the sculpted bodice and the sculptural hemline that floated away from the body that were reminiscent of those gowns.

Still, that floating hem was a bit strange at some angles. It sometimes looked as if she had major static electricity in her skirt.

Kristen Bell In Rasario – 2017 People’s Choice Awards

Kristen Bell joined the star-studded list at the People’s Choice Awards 2017 on Wednesday (January 18) in LA.

Her glam 2017 Golden Globe Awards look was smoldering, so perhaps my expectations were a bit too high here.

This Rasario Spring 2017 shimmery, wide-leg jumpsuit fell short, due in large part to the pasties-like bra cups. What did you make of this look?

Victoria Justice In Yousef Al-Jasmi – 2017 People’s Choice Awards

Victoria Justice was also at the People’s Choice Awards 2017 on Wednesday (January 18) in LA.

No bead or bauble was left unturned for the ‘Rocky Horror Picture Show’ star’s sassy little Yousef Al-Jasmi micro mini dress. The intricate patterns of the beading created a uniquely geometric, textile-like effect from afar.

She polished it off with sleek straight locks and metallic sandals.

Jordana Brewster In J. Mendel – 2017 People’s Choice Awards

Jordana Brewster was also at the People’s Choice Awards 2017 on Wednesday (January 18) in LA.

While the PCAs usually sees a slightly less formal red carpet, that didn’t keep the actress from gliding out a long halter gown.

The cornflower-blue colour of this J Mendel Spring 2017 dropped-waist design was nothing short of alluring. But, what really sold the look to me was seeing it in movement, with the diaphanous flow of the semi-sheer, plisse skirt.

Ponytails popped up as a favoured beauty look this year at the PCAs, and this sleek ’do on Jordana was a model version.
