Gemma Arterton In Alberta Ferretti Couture – 2018 BAFTAs

Gemma Arterton was another beauty in black at the 2018 BAFTAs on Sunday (February 18) in London, England, alongside Saoirse Ronan, Rebecca Ferguson and Leslie Bibb.

The actress wore a dark Alberta Ferretti Spring 2018 Couture gown in solidarity with the Time’s Up movement.

She frequently wears black dresses on the red carpet and this subdued style demonstrates why.

There’s something captivating about the inky shade against her dark hair and pale complexion.

With the dynamic pleating, there is such wonderful movement in the gown, which shows off her figure in an alluringly elegant manner.

Gina shoes, a Jimmy Choo bag and Ara Vartanian jewels completed the graceful look.

Given the higher neckline and detailing, she could have lost one accessory or two.

Saoirse Ronan In Chanel – 2018 BAFTAs

Saoirse Ronan looked like an ethereal beauty when she stepped out at 2018 BAFTAs on Sunday (February 18) in London, England, alongside Leslie Bibb and Rebecca Ferguson.

The ‘Lady Bird’ star, who is nominated for Best Actress in a Leading Role, showed her support for the Time’s Up movement in a black Chanel Pre-Fall 2017 dress.

The long-sleeved style was practical given the chillier temperatures, plus, the decorative top created such a contrast against the sheer skirt.

Many have been fatigued with unlined skirts, but as an entire look this feels fresh.

I’m sure there will still be some who will wish to see the skirt removed and the frock worn as a mini, but there is a dark elegance to the longer length. Had it been short, it would have lacked formality required for the event.

Jimmy Choo shoes and bag and Cartier jewels completed the darkly romantic look.

Rebecca Ferguson In Stella McCartney – 2018 BAFTAs

Rebecca Ferguson graced the red carpet at the 2018 BAFTAs on Sunday (February 18) in London, England, where she joined Leslie Bibb.

She showed her support for British fashion in a Stella McCartney gown. The black colour also showed her solidarity with the Time’s Up movement.

The graceful style clung to her growing baby bump, but not all the emphasis was on her expectant figure.

The draped cape swept off her shoulders creating an ethereal quality as she walked.

The effect was enhanced by the contrasting white lining.

Rupert Sanderson shoes with Swarovski crystals, a Jimmy Choo bag and Bulgari jewels brought some shine.

Leslie Bibb In Yanina Couture -2018 BAFTAs

Leslie Bibb was one of the first to arrive at the 2018 BAFTAs on Sunday (February 18) in London, England at the Royal Albert Hall.

Like at the Golden Globes, it was anticipated that many stars would wear black to the event in solidarity with the Time’s Up movement.

The actress wore a strapless Yanina Couture gown where the silky black base was enlivened with delicate ruffles embellished with pale blue beading.

The restrained volume of the frills allowed the beading to take on a graceful, crashing wave effect.

I’m captivated by how the surface work gives the column gown such magical movement.

Robert Pattinson In Dior Homme – ‘Damsel’ Berlinale International Film Festival Premiere

Robert Pattinson joined Mia Wasikowska for the ‘Damsel’ Berlinale International Film Festival premiere on Friday (February 16) in Germany.

The actor could have given the runway model a run for his money, so well did he wear this Dior Homme Fall 2018 look.

I love how the suit presented an updated take on double-breasted tailoring.

Plus, with Robert pairing it with a black dress shirt rather than white, the effect was all the more sleekly handsome and modern.

A minor nitpick may come into focus with the tailoring of the trousers, but I would say that the slouch perfectly suits his laid-back style whilst reflecting the more relaxed fit of their original presentation.

Mia Wasikowska In Givenchy & Prada – ‘Damsel’ Berlinale International Film Festival Premiere & Photocall

Mia Wasikowska attended the ‘Damsel’ Berlinale International Film Festival premiere and photocall on Friday (February 16) in Berlin, Germany.

Premiere: The actress generally plays it safe when it comes to fashion—often favouring black—so on the one hand, this Givenchy Pre-Fall 2018 gown didn’t stray too far from her usual M.O. On the other, I applaud the more dramatic tone of the low plunge and diaphanous black skirt—with the back detail also providing a statement flourish. Even when presented in black, a compelling dimensionality to the look remained.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan In LaBourjoisie – Femina Beauty Awards 2018

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was at the Femina Beauty Awards 2018, held at the JW Marriott Hotel in Mumbai on Thursday (February 15).

As the Indian beauty has never met a billowing ball gown she doesn’t love, this LaBourjoisie scintillating confection fit the bill for her grand moment on the red carpet.

The glamour quotient was undeniably high with this jewel-encrusted design—complete with her voluminous waves and classic red lip.

Here, the sleeves and the belted detail offered an elegant tone to uplift the traditional ball gown silhouette.

It may not be anything we haven’t seen before, but she wore it with such power and panache that it’s hard not to be swept away.
