Kathryn Newton In Valentino – ‘Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri’ London Film Festival Closing Ceremony

Kathryn Newton joined Rosamund Pike and Laura Bailey at the ‘Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri’ London Film Festival closing ceremony on Sunday (October 15).

The young actress wore a Valentino Pre-Fall 2017 gown. With its diaphanous gray-green fabric and breezy silhouette, the dress had a whimsical, fairytale quality that I quite enjoyed.

The frock’s ethereal effect was enhanced with the ruffled details and floral embroidery. Her loose curls and soft makeup played up the vibe further.

Rosamund Pike In Altuzarra & Laura Bailey In Erdem – ‘Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri’ London Film Festival Closing Ceremony Premiere

It was a floral extravaganza at the ‘Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri’ London Film Festival closing ceremony premiere on Sunday (October 15).

Rosamund Pike: First, the English actress donned a bohemian Altuzarra Fall 2017 gown. The button-down dress was emboldened by rich yellow blooms against a deep blue background. While one could easily get lost admiring the details in the pattern, I found my eye going to the contrasting black collar and cuffs which were tied in with her black shoes.

Laura Bailey: Contrasting Rosamund’s sunny floral dress, the model chose an ethereal lilac lace Erdem Fall 2017 gown. The sprinkling of black flowers was in keeping with the designer’s moody elegance while the burgundy crisscross on the chest added an unexpected element. Some might remember the frock from when Nicole Kidman wore it at the Glamour Women of The Year Awards. With her hair pulled back, smoky eye and The Kooples ‘Emily’ bag, I feel that Laura made the ensemble her own as she took it in a bolder direction.

Hong Chau In L’Agence, Sea New York, Valentino & Alessandra Rich – Hamptons & London Film Festivals

Hong Chau has been making the festival rounds lately, attending both the Hamptons and London Film Festivals in support of her film, ‘Downsizing.’

Variety’s 10 Actors To Watch: Taking an understated-chic approach for this Hamptons Film Festival photocall, Hong wore an L’Agence ‘Massim’ wrapped top with Sea New York Pre-Fall 2017 trousers.

Lifetime Achievement Award Reception: While attending this Hamptons Film Festival event, also on Saturday (October 7), she changed into a Valentino Resort 2018 frock. With the decorative, prairie spirit of the dress, the nude clutch and Casadei ‘Blade’ pumps didn’t exactly complement it as I would have wanted.

‘Downsizing’ Premiere: For the London Film Festival premiere on Friday (October 13), she was dazzling in red-carpet-red with this Alessandra Rich Fall 2017 gown that provided a feminine silhouette alongside the sweetness of its buttoned shoulder and heart-shaped embellishment.

The third time was definitely the charm here, as I loved the vintage-mod flair of her Alessandra Rich look. What about you?

Malavika Mohanan In Anamika Khanna – ‘Beyond The Clouds’ London Film Festival Premiere

Indian actress Malavika Mohanan was at the ‘Beyond The Clouds’ London Film Festival premiere on Friday (October 13).

Paying homage to her background, she wore fellow Indian designer Anamika Khanna in this intricate floral-lace design that blended traditional textiles and silhouette with modern edge.

Andrea Riseborough In Ralph & Russo Couture – 61st BFI London Film Festival Awards

Joining Hayley Atwell and Anya Taylor-Joy, Andrea Riseborough also took to the red carpet at the 61st BFI London Film Festival Awards on Saturday (October 14).

Her new lease on fashion continued to be felt strongly in this Ralph & Russo Fall 2016 Couture gown.

The design offered up a secret garden of intricately enchanting embellishment. But, it was her decision to wear the dress with violet Balenciaga thigh-high boots that brought the distinct punk edge.

While the dress had to stay unlined on behalf of the boots, I can already hear the potential objections to the nude bodysuit beneath it—not to mention the footwear.

Regardless, she dared to do something different on the red carpet, and for that, she provided plenty of statement-making intrigue.

Yay or nay?

Anya Taylor-Joy In Dolce & Gabbana – 61st BFI London Film Festival Awards

Moments of unquestionable glamour always captivate me on the red carpet.

And, that is exactly what Anya Taylor-Joy delivered, in spades, as she joined Hayley Atwell for the 61st BFI London Film Festival Awards on Saturday (October 14).

Glittering from top to toe, she stunned in a Dolce & Gabbana gown that was simple in silhouette, but oh-so-dramatic in effect.

I was entranced by the flared skirt that formed a moderate train behind her—and how the light scintillated against the sea of nearly holographic sequins.

Allowing the sequins to speak for themselves, she finished the look with the alluring side sweep of old-Hollywood waves and minimal jewels.
