Lena Headey In Armani Privé – 2012 Emmy Awards

You couldn’t help but take notice of Lena Headey on the red carpet at the 2012 Emmy Awards on Sunday evening.

The ‘Game of Thrones’ actress went against the nude and citrus trend opting for more drama wearing a black Armani Privé dress.

Her silk and lace spaghetti straps dress encrusted with black paillettes was styled with a black silk netting overlay, creating an ethereal effect.

Do you think this look is too dramatic for a sunny Sunday evening, or was she right to make an effort to stand out?

Julianne Hough In Georges Hobeika Couture – 2012 Emmy Awards

Julianne Hough attended the 2012 Emmy Awards on Sunday evening.

The blonde actress opted for sparkles, sparkles and more sparkles, wearing a strapless seafoam Georges Hobeika Fall 2012 Couture gown.

With the amount of sequins and paillette embellishments, I envision this frock on the ‘Dancing With The Stars’ dance floor.

That comb-over faux-bob is just a bit too much for this look, as is the makeup.

Soft Veronica Lake waves would have added a bit more polish to the look.

A gold Judith Leiber clutch provided the finishing touches.

Like Claire Danes and Julianne Moore, Hannah Simone chose a sunny yellow hue for the 2012 Emmy Awards on Sunday evening.

The ‘New Girl’ star wore a custom Emilio Pucci one-shoulder gown with a thigh-high slit.

It’s such a sexy yet sophisticated look, but the tan lines are a bit off putting.

Blunt bangs pulled half back and Lorraine Schwartz leaf earrings finish the look.

Emily VanCamp In J. Mendel – 2012 Emmy Awards

Emily Vancamp also donned a J. Mendel gown for the 2012 Emmy Awards which was held in LA on Sunday evening.

The ‘Revenge’ star, who tends to favour neutrals, looked very pretty wearing a dove-grey bustier gown with a tulle neckline from the designer’s Resort 2013 collection.

Her ultra feminine look was styled with Van Cleef jewelry, including a delicate bow-tied bracelet on her wrist.

A sleek updo and a Judith Leiber clutch provided the finishing touches.

A pregnant Claire Danes glowed on the red carpet at the 2012 Emmy Awards on Sunday evening.

The actress looked stunning wearing a canary-yellow Lanvin Resort 2013 gown.

Claire noted that the draped silk gown did not have to be altered to flatter her baby bump which is barely noticeable.

Gold Barbara Bui sandals and Lorraine Schwartz jewels complete her look.

Sarah Hyland In Marchesa – 2012 Emmy Awards

For the second year in a row, Sarah Hyland showed off her designing prowess.

The ‘Modern Family’ star teamed up with Georgina Chapman of Marchesa to design her dove-grey gown which she wore to the 2012 Emmy Awards on Sunday evening.

In true Marchesa spirit, the gown was beautifully embellished with silver and crystal detailing.

Unfortunately, I’m not too fond of the prom hair.
