Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Skipping Seasons Award
The Jason Wu Resort 2011 presentation only took place 5 days ago, but Rachel Weisz was honoured to be the first to wear a piece from his beautiful girlie girl collection at the 2010 CFDA Fashion Awards in New York last night.

Her custom violet print dress was perfect for her both in style and colour.

She’s glowing.

I’m not a fan of black pumps as you know, but for once I love her Louboutin’s with this look.

This look maybe a bit formal or business-like for some of you, but I think she shows that Jason Wu pieces are for all types of women.

A Judith Leiber clutch and a gorgeous shade of red lippie completed her look.

Drop-Dead-Gorgeous Award
Devon Aoki is one of the few models who sparks interest, as she has personality on the red carpet.

At the 2010 CFDA Fashion Awards she looked breath-taking wearing a Zac Posen Pre-Fall 2010 strapless gown.

Devon opted to belt her black and cream gown which comes together with a jagged edge.  The belt is a subtle but nice touch.

The cuffs are a tad OTT, but the red lips and black clutch perfect the look.

Best Dressed Award
It’s the black gowns which are gave me “wow” moments at from the 2010 CFDA Fashion Awards in New York City last night. First Iman, now Gwyneth Paltrow.

Gwyneth blew me away for the second time in a row on the red carpet wearing a custom Michael Kors black paillette one shoulder gown with a sexy slash to the waist.

I love her hair pulled back like this.

Gwyneth gave us the poker straight look for so long, that I’m loving her way she’s vamping up her look with varying styles.

Her look was paired with a black crocodile Michael Kors clutch and Fred Leighton jewelry.

It’s classic, sophisticated, so very elegant and I love it.

Nice Dress, Shame About The Shoes Award
Actress Dakota Fanning attended the 2010 CFDA Fashion Awards opting for a white and black combo.

She wore a white lace Marchesa Spring 2010 Bridal dress, which she paired with Brian Atwood’s ‘Alix’ pumps.

White dresses with black shoes has never been a combination I’ve enjoyed seeing in general let alone the on the red carpet, so I’m finding it really hard to like this look.

Dakota accessorized with a Jennifer Behr headpiece and Loree Rodkin jewelry.

Although this is a cute look. It’s almost too cute. I think Dakota has evolved past these cutesy type of dresses.

DI-VA Award
Only one person could bring drama to the 2010 CFDA Fashion Awards red carpet in some style.  That was of course the evergreen Iman.

The model collected the ‘CFDA Fashion Icon Award’, which was well deserved.

Arriveing at the event with her husband David Bowie she wore a Giambattista Valli Fall 2010 stunning black gown.

Her gown was custom to add a black bow accented band around the bodice, and a band around her thighs before the gown sweeps out into a feathered skirt.

As much as I adored this gown on the runway, I love it even more strapless.

She was another one of my favourites at this event.

Most Improved/Most Colourful Award
I was really excited to see Jessica Biel at the 2010 CFDA Fashion Awards in New York City last night because she looked gorgeous wearing a tropical print Diane von Furstenberg Carrie Hill beaded dress.

This dress is the perfect tonic for my eyes considering the downpours we’ve been having in London all morning.

Her dress is wow, her hair is perfection but I’m also detecting a slight attitude which I love.

I think Jessica is starting to enjoy fashion again.

Hopefully she’ll continue to give us interesting moments like this, as I’m still holding out hope that she will really wow us before the end of “The A-Team” promotional tour.

A beige clutch and cream heels with a gold trim complete her look.

She was one of my favourites at his event.
