Jessica Chastain In Givenchy Couture - amfAR Cinema Against Aids Gala

Jessica Chastain attended the annual amfAR Cinema Against AIDS gala held at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cap d’Antibes, France this evening (May 22).

Opting for a quiet elegance, the actress wore a custom Givenchy Couture black strapless gown.

The lightly pleated gown with a structured bodice was enhanced with a stunning diamond-encrusted leaf-shaped necklace.

Do you like this look, or was it one too many black gowns during this festival for you?

Jess Weixler attended the annual amfAR Cinema Against AIDS gala held at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cap d’Antibes, France this evening (May 22).

Since her Martin Grant gown, it has been uphill in the style stakes for ‘The Good Wife’ actress.

On this occasion she opted for flawless evening elegance, wearing an Honor Fall 2014 gown.

I adore the stunning icy blue hue on Jess, which features an exquisitely crafted petal neckline.

The layers of tulle give this a romantic, ethereal feel, with her silver jewels adding a touch of glamour.

If you are having a strong case of deja vu, that’s because this gown, without the sleeves we saw on the runway, is strikingly familiar to Hannah Simone’s SAG Awards Marchesa gown.

Dita Von Teese In Blumarine – amfAR Cinema Against Aids Gala

Dita Von Teese In Blumarine - amfAR Cinema Against Aids Gala

Dita Von Teese took to the red carpet this evening (May 22) for the annual amfAR Cinema Against AIDS gala held at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cap d’Antibes, France.

Having arrived at Nice Airport wearing Blumarine, the burlesque star donned the Italian brand again, this time selecting a sheer black rose-print gown layered with a black lace corset.

This look, like most Dita Von Teese looks, has a distinct boudoir feel, and as usual she styled it with her signature retro do and red lippie.

Chopard jewels completed her look.

Aishwarya Rai In Armani Privé – amfAR Cinema Against Aids Gala

Aishwarya Rai joined a host of celebrities this evening (May 22) for the annual amfAR Cinema Against AIDS gala held at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cap d’Antibes, France.

Knocking it out of the fashion ballpark for the third time in a row, the Indian actress wore Armani Privé.

As the Italian brand has served her so well in the past, I knew she would have an Armani Privé moment before this festival was through.

Wearing a blush, layered Fall 2013 gown with graduated crystal details, the stunning look was styled with a matching clutch and Chopard jewels.

While I get the bold red lip to prevent a washed-out look and amp up the glamour, the green eyeshadow is a touch perplexing.

Marion Cotillard In Alexander McQueen – amfAR Cinema Against Aids Gala

Marion Cotillard In Alexander McQueen - amfAR Cinema Against Aids Gala

I was shocked to see Marion Cotillard on the red carpet this evening (May 22) for the annual amfAR Cinema Against AIDS gala held at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cap d’Antibes, France.

Not shocked at her invitation, but shocked that she didn’t wear Dior.

Instead, she wore an Alexander McQueen Fall 2014 high-neck white-embroidered chiffon gown for the occasion.

Cue collective jaws being picked up off the floor.

The gown clearly needed to be lined, but as a result some of the impact of the embroidery has been lost.

That may explain the overuse of Chopard necklaces.

Love or loathe?

Izabel Goulart In Emilio Pucci – amfAR Cinema Against Aids Gala

Izabel Goulart In Emilio Pucci - amfAR Cinema Against Aids Gala

Izabel Goulart attended the annual amfAR Cinema Against AIDS gala held at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cap d’Antibes, France this evening (May 22).

I would’ve expected her to go the Atelier Versace route, but instead she graced the red carpet wearing a beautiful Emilio Pucci blush silk organza strapless gown adorned with tonal beading and feathers.

I couldn’t have dreamed of a more breath-taking gown. It may be too sugary and princessy for some, but it’s just what this event needed.

A de Grisogono diamond necklace and sweeping updo completed her look.
