Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Attitude Magazine Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a roundup of some of the other looks from the Attitude Magazine Awards held at the Royal Courts of Justice in London yesterday evening.

Abbey Clancy: The ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ star wore a black Julien Macdonald scoop-neck gown which I thought was fairly demure for the TV presenter – until I got halfway down her frock, which had sheer panels starting at her crotch.

Ellie Goulding: As always I find myself totally underwhelmed by the British singer. Even wearing this cut-out Roberto Cavalli gown with a thigh-high slit and uninspiring pumps, all I can think about is how bored I am with the same hair and makeup she works whenever she hits the red carpet.

Pixie Lott: A brown velvet onesie (I refuse to call this a jumpsuit) with animal print fur trims? Really?

Rita Ora In Roberto Cavalli - Hakkasan Restaurant

Rita Ora was glimpsed making a red-haute exit from Hakkasan in Beverly Hills, California yesterday.

The British songstress served up a head-to-toe Roberto Cavalli Pre-Fall 2013 number that was matchy-matchy in the most enticing way possible.

The tromp l’oeil tweed-effect jacket, skirt and blouse were all emblazoned with a fiery, baroque orange-scroll motif, ratcheting up the sultry impact of the tailored black-and-white separates.

Geometric, harlequin-like booties finished the look off with an interesting flourish, as Rita’s perpetual crimson pout continued to dominate her beauty story.

Naomi Campbell and Karolina Kurkova In Roberto Cavalli - Vogue Fashion Dubai Experience

Supermodels Naomi Campbell and Karolina Kurkova celebrated the inaugural ‘Vogue Fashion Dubai Experience’; an evening of glamour which brought ‘the magic of Vogue’ to the Middle East for the first time which was hosted by Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Italia, Franca Sozzani.

Naomi Campbell: Giving a true masterclass on how to work the sheer trend, the model donned a Roberto Cavalli long-sleeve lace gown with leather lined laced detailing and tonal bugle embroidery.

Karolina Kurkova: Opting for a more masculine Cavalli look, the model wore pink suit with a woven, laced jacket, a snake skin print shirt and crocodile embossed pants. Tassel accents fell from her necklace and clutch while she completed her look with sexy cream strappy sandals.

Despite being polar opposites; both are quintessential Cavalli looks.

Alexa Vega In Alberta Ferretti, Roberto Cavalli & Lorena Sarbu - 'Machete Kills' Promo Tour

Alexa Vega, who first came to my attention at the 2013 ALMA Awards, has been busy promoting her new movie ‘Machete Kills’.

Extra: On Wednesday she made a visit to the set of ‘Extra’ at its new home in Universal Studios in LA, where she donned a blush-coloured Alberta Ferretti strapless frock with a streamline silhouette and a peak on the neckline, which she styled with swept-back locks and nude Alexandre Birman pumps.

‘Machete Kills’ LA Premiere: On the same evening she donned a sexy Roberto Cavalli black one-shoulder gown with a thigh-high slit and sheer panels, proving you can’t get it wrong wearing a Cavalli gown. That is unless you pick the wrong footwear, which is what Alexa did when opting for these Oscar Tiye pumps when sandals would’ve worked so much better.

‘Machete Kills’ Press Conference: On Sunday Alexa attended a press conference for her movie at the Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles in Beverly Hills, California, opting to go sexy again wearing a Lorena Sarbu Fall 2013 embossed leather dress which might have been just a tad too snug on the bust. Once again she donned her nude Alexandre Birman pumps. A John Hardy cuff completed her look.

Which look do you favour? Look One works best for me as she got it right from head to toe.

Lucy Liu In Roberto Cavalli - 'Elementary' Panel

Lucy Liu attended the ‘Elementary’ panel during 2013 PaleyFest: Made In New York at The Paley Center for Media on October 5, 2013 in New York City.

The beautiful actress wore a Roberto Cavalli Pre-Fall 2013 dress which was part herringbone and part vibrant print.

My first reaction was to dislike this look, but this is the classic opulent approach to print and colour that we are used to from Roberto Cavalli. The dress commands attention with the striking baroque design in vibrant tangerine.

Opting for all-black accessories, Lucy carried a Jimmy Choo ‘Charlize’ clutch and wore the popular Saint Laurent ‘Jane’ sandals.

A half-up, half-down hairstyle and flawless makeup provided the finishing touches.

I have a feeling I know the answer to this, but do you love or loathe this look?

Toronto Film Festival Menswear Roundup

Throughout the Toronto International Film Festival in Canada, the men have brought their own sartorial statements—from guy-glam and cool-stud to handsome-hunk.

Daniel Radcliffe: The British actor was brave and bold in a deep purple David Hart suit at the ‘Kill Your Darlings’ premiere, held at Roy Thomson Hall. Boasting polish and pizzazz, with a contrasting striped white-and-blue-grey button-down and a dark mini-polka-dot tie, this look was plum-perfect.

Jake Gyllenhaal: The handsome actor wore a velvety Burberry Tailoring three-piece suit at the ‘Prisoners’ premiere at Ryerson Theatre. Offsetting the dark shade, a baby-blue shirt and navy tie brought out Jake’s own baby blues, whilst faded brown shoes contributed a rugged edge.

Ewan McGregor: Sauntering around with his suave flair, Ewan took a more casual approach in his Neil Barrett black blazer and pants at the ‘August: Osage County’ premiere at Roy Thomson Hall. He skipped the tie and put on a pair of lace-up shoes that had a distinct creeper mentality.
