Beyonce Knowles In Roberto Cavalli - Mrs Carter World Tour

We’ve seen many looks worn by Beyonce Knowles from her Mrs Carter World Tour, which kick-started back in April.

The latest new look comes courtesy of Roberto Cavalli.

Beyonce wore this muslin-silk multicolour print dress featuring gold barocco embroideries and double thigh-high slits.

Often we find ourselves loving the sketch more than the eventual creation; however, I’m feeling the vibrancy and sex appeal of the look translated very well in real life.

Beyonce surely did work the look to its maximum potential. There is no mistaking this is a Cavalli creation.

Who Wore Roberto Cavalli Better Jennifer Hudson or Aishwarya Rai

On the night of the Oscars Jennifer Hudson wore this gorgeous Roberto Cavalli blue sequin gown, which she styled with a complementary sequin Jimmy Choo clutch, Sutra earrings and bright-blue Giuseppe Zanotti platform peep-toes.

Indian actress Aishwarya Rai wore the same gown to the 2013 Life Ball in Vienna on Saturday, opting not to focus on the central slit.

She styled her look with just black pumps and a few subtle jewels.

For keeping the blue theme going and adding a touch of pizzazz to her look, Jennifer wins for me.

Rita Ora In Roberto Cavalli Gym - Radio 1 Big Weekend Festival

Rita Ora was none too shy to trot out a hyper-funky and feline number on the first day of the Radio 1 Big Weekend Festival in Londonderry, Northern Ireland last Friday.

The songstress served up a main dish of outrageousness in her Roberto Cavalli Gym tracksuit that was covered in a dysfunctional mix of white-leopard print fused with yellow- and lime-green starburst patterns at the sleeves and down the baggy pant sides.

We’ve seen so many sophisticated and slinky Cavalli confections paraded out at the Cannes Film Festival. So you would be forgiven for doing a double-take (or triple-take) upon seeing this alternative piece from the designer.

This is the rambunctious side of Roberto blended up into wild-child Rita’s fashion funhouse aesthetic, which was made all the more kooky with a clumsy pair of Stella McCartney ‘Lug’ shoes from the Fall 2013 runway.

Her dip-dyed neon-yellow tips added another wack factor. All in all, there was a lot of look here, and I’m not sure even Rita could sing her way out of this one.

She deserves to take a bow, though, as I believe this might just win the prize for one of her most crazy concoctions yet.

Boom or bust?

Life Ball 2013

Life Ball 2013 copy

As we’ve seen time and again at the Cannes Film Festival, Roberto Cavalli is a reigning king of the soiree scene. The designer ruled the red carpet again at Saturday’s extravagant 21st Life Ball and its accompanying, exclusive AIDS Solidarity Gala, which was hosted in the Viennese Hofburg Palace in Austria. A trio of Cavalli lovelies were all dressed to impress, naturally.

Karolina Kurkova: After strutting out a memorable, skin-flaunting Roberto Cavalli entrance at the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala last week, this supermodel returned to the designer for the Solidarity soiree. Except this time, she arrived with far more fabric on her statuesque frame. Still, with this androgynous, embellished tuxedo statement, she was as sexy as ever. This girl can work a power suit to the max. Her long flowing locks and a look-at-me red lippie gave us even more glam.

Aishwarya Rai: Speaking of glam, the Indian star served it up in spades. As the International Goodwill Ambassador for UNAIDS, she lit up the Life Ball stage with her covetable Cavalli hourglass gown, a long-sleeve, dark navy number that was awash in shimmering mermaid-like scales. A peek-a-boo front slit put another level of sultriness into this exit.

Nieves Alvarez: Usually this Spanish model/TV host’s enviable shoes are her plus-one, but she had a handsome accessory in husband Marco Severini, who joined her at the event. She was a long-and-lean screen siren in her Cavalli red column gown featuring an embossed Byzantine pattern, half-circle cutouts at the neckline and a side slit. Gold accessories accented the look with Nieves’s brand of bold style.

'The Immigrant' Premiere - The 66th Annual Cannes Film Festival

Olivia Palermo was joined by her handsome beau Johannes Huebl at Cannes Film Festival for ‘The Immigrant’ premiere held at Palais des Festivals in France this evening.

The uptown socialite has been well and truly Cavalli’ed as she wears her third Roberto Cavalli look in a row during this festival.

Last night she was totally unrecognisable in a classic Roberto Cavalli animal print gown, however, tonight the Olivia we all know and love shone through.

She wore an opulent gold sequin halter gown with Olivia signatures: a Zara blazer and a feather accented clutch.

I’m sure many of you wish, like me, that she’d ditched the blazer and rocked this stunning gown with a dramatic train as Cavalli would’ve intended, but I guess one night of being a true Cavalli diva was all she could muster.

Lea Michele In Roberto Cavalli - 2013 LA Screenings Lot Party

Lea Michele attended the 2013 LA Screenings Lot Party at Twentieth Century Fox Studio Lot in Los Angeles, California yesterday evening, which was her second night out in a row.

We’ve seen plenty of Cavalli during Cannes Film Festival and here we see the Italian designer’s work again, as Lea wore a sexy lingerie-inspired black dress.

The frock, with Chantilly lace trims and beaded embroidery, also features a sexy side slit.

On this occasion her hair, which usually provides a talking point, was swept up into a bun.

Makeup-wise, I love the golden glow, sultry kohl-rimmed eyes and dark-berry lip combo.

Black Brian Atwood peep-toes completed her look.

I’m starting to think what Cannes was missing was an epic diva moment; Lea would’ve given us that.
