Charlize Theron won’t be happy that she shared her go-to designer, with so many stunning ladies last night.

John Galliano was the toast of the Golden Globes, as he dressed 5 women on the red carpet.

All wore floaty ethereal dress, and dreamy colours, except model Alek Wek, who picked a more stand out embellished teal colour.

J. Mendel had 4dresses on the red carpet, whilst Reem Acra and Elie Saab, both had 3.

Oscar de la Renta also dressed 5 stars. 3 wore strapless gowns, 1 went asymmetrical and Marisa Tomei went very casual.

Kate Hudson looked so elegant when she arrived at the New York premiere of her new movie Bride Wars. Quite the opposite from her sexier look on Letterman earlier in the day.

The actress wore a black and white geometric patterned strapless mermaid gown, with a pepulm at the waist from the Oscar de la Renta Spring 2009 collection. She accessorized with a diamond cuff bracelets, and she wore her hair loosely tied back with a few pieces framing her face.

There are not many who can match Coco Rocha, but I think Kate wears this gown equally well. In fact I think she wears it better.

I won’t lie. When I first saw Anne Hathaway wearing a black double breasted Boy by Band of Outsiders suit, I felt a tiny bit disappointed. But I after about a minute I realised that I really like this look.

It’s chic, elegant and sophisticated. She is clearly not trying to out do her co-star, like some people try to do on the red carpet. In fact I think they compliment each other very well.

Her make-up was kept light, and she accessorized her masculine look with silver drop earrings, a silver ring and gold Christian Louboutin Very Galaxy heels.

I love the picture below were they’re checking each other out.

Whenever I see a dress or a skirt by Oscar de la Renta, for some reason Charlotte York springs to mind. The Park Avenue Princess would have been proud to walk the streets of Manhattan wearing this Oscar de la Renta Pleated Ikat skirt.

Penelope Cruz wore this cream and black Ikat print pleated skirt, with a black front ruffled bib knit top, and black peep-toes when she arrived at a taping of The Late Show With David Letterman back in August. She was there to promote her movie Vicky Cristina Barcelona.

The skirt from the Oscar de la Renta’s Resort 2009 collection, can be purchased from Net-A-Porter’s US site for $1,690, or the International site for £1,081.49/€1,439.69.

The runway silk brushstroke blouse is also available to purchase for $990 or £631.28/€840.36.

Anna Wintour has many favoured designers. Prada – of course – and Oscar de la Renta.

The editor-in-chief of American Vogue first wore this Caribbean blue Oscar de la Renta pleated silk chiffon dress when she arrived at the Sex and the City New York premiere back in May.

She then wore this dress a further two times, and she also has this dress in green.

This gorgeous dress is available to purchase from the Net-A-Porter US site for $3,750, and from the International site for £2,397.88/€3,192.05.

Thanks to those of you who rightly told me off for not featuring actress Rose Byrne at the same Damages Season 2 Premiere as Debra Messing this weekend.

Truth was I did not know who she was, but this stunning ruffled vintage Oscar de la Renta ruffled hem cocktail dress should have been enough for me to automatically feature her.

This is for you Whitestroke.

You may remember a few days ago we saw Nicollette Sheridan shopping at the Oscar de la Renta store in LA. She tried on two stunning gowns, of green and blue.

Well here we get to see what she actually purchased.

Tonight she arrived at the 2008 National Television Awards at The Royal Albert Hall in London, wearing this stunning red strapless mermaid gown.

As you can see, the dress is modified from the runway version, which I am very happy about, because the runway version has too much going on.

What I think has been working with Nicollette’s new found style is she is toning things down, but still managing to pull off sexy.

With husband Ben Affleck, Jennifer Garner attended the White House Correspondents Association Dinner in Washington wearing a Oscar de la Renta Silk faille embroidered dress with black peep-toe shoes and a black clutch.

Vivica A. Fox wore the same dress when she attended the Fashion Rocks event recently, also with peep-toes.

There is not much between them, other than Jennifer’s dress, like the runway version, is cut lower than Vivica’s.

I think this dress suits Jennifer better, so she wins for me.
