Red Carpet Fashion Awards

NYFW1

Alexander Wang: Zoe Kravitz is a huge fan of Alexander Wang, so the question when looking at the collection was ‘What would Zoe wear?’ My choices were somewhat limited due to the amount of colour on display as Zoe loves to wear black, so I settled on this black strappy dress with a flared skirt. I hope she proves me wrong and selects something other than black from this collection.

Altuzarra: Allison Williams is always a goodie two-shoes on the red carpet. I would love to see her in this sexy, slightly undone look to spice up her red carpet game.

Front Row @ Monique Lhuillier Spring 2014

A chic sweep of lovelies were seated front row at the Monique Lhuillier Spring 2014 fashion show yesterday at The Theatre at Lincoln Center in New York City, where they wore all shades and styles of the designer.

Jessica Lowndes: The ’90210′ starlet stunned in a Spring 2013 strapless cocktail dress that featured an artistic flash of vivid, abstract digital prints. A black RK New York spiked clutch, black strappy sandals and sharp pendant earrings grounded the colourful frock with a touch of hardcore edge.

Emmy Rossum: Gorgeous in green, the actress turned on the sophisticated sizzle in a fit-and-flare lace dress from the Fall 2013 collection. From that enchanting hue to her side-swept ‘do, along with those metallic gold Jimmy Choo accessories, there was much to covet here.

Maggie Grace: The actress’s Pre-Fall 2013 black cocktail dress had a frothy and romantic off-the-shoulder silhouette, further boosted with her loose, blonde waves. Yet the painterly splatters of gold that swept across the black frock delivered an aura of drama and mystery to this look, as did her dagger-shaped necklace.

Minka Kelly In Monique Lhuillier - FOX All-Star Party

Minka Kelly joined Diane Kruger on the red carpet for the Fox All-Star Party in West Hollywood, California yesterday evening.

She selected a blue-and-white printed short-sleeved dress from Monique Lhuillier’s Resort 2014 collection, keeping the styling simple with wavy tresses, glossy pink lips and grey suede pumps.

I wish she would’ve swapped the grey pumps for a pair of Monique Lhuillier’s sexy sandals.

Sophia Bush In Monique Lhuillier - 2013 Do Something Awards

Sophia Bush looked radiant on the red carpet for the 2013 Do Something Awards held at Avalon in Hollywood, California, yesterday evening.

The beautiful actress made me forget her last few red carpet hiccups by wearing a stunning Monique Lhuillier Spring 2013 gown.

This aqua-and-white scale-print gown with a gathered waist was one of my favourite pieces from the collection, so I was delighted to see it take to the red carpet and styled so perfectly.

Jewels provided by Melinda Maria, EF Collection and Graziela Gems complemented her Nancy Gonzalez croc-embossed clutch and bronzed Jimmy Choo ‘Lance’ sandals. Thankfully no white pumps were considered here. I think we have seen enough white pumps this summer to last us a lifetime.

Sun-kissed highlights in her brunette hair contribute to the overall glow, with kohl-rimmed eyes and glossy nude lips providing the finishing touches.

Rhona Mitra In Monique Lhuillier - TNT's 25th Anniversary Party

Rhona Mitra took her blue crush a few steps further than Jordana Brewster at TNT’s 25th Anniversary Party, hosted yesterday at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in California.

The star of the Michael Bay-produced show, ‘The Last Ship,’ was channeling the big blue sea, as she sailed along the ‘navy’ carpet in a Monique Lhuillier Spring 2013 watery, digital-print dress.

The aquatic-inspired, flutter-sleeve frock, was worn longer than seen on the runway and presented without the thin black belt. I have a feeling some of you will be calling for a pair of scissors and a tailor.

A Lauren Merkin ‘Grace’ rectangular clutch in calf suede with patent leather trim brought an intense jolt of black back to the look—too intense, if you ask me—whilst dual-tone snakeskin sandals added an earthy edge.

A back-swept ponytail and minimal makeup, with another dose of super-bronzer, finished the look.

Sea-worthy, or shipwrecked by the styling?
