Julianna Margulies In L'Wren Scott - 2014 Writers Guild Awards LA Ceremony

Julianna Margulies was one of the presenters for the 2014 Writers Guild Awards L.A. Ceremony held at J.W. Marriott at L.A. Live on Saturday (February 1) in Los Angeles, California joining Stana Katic.

Looking uber chic, she wore an impeccably tailored L’Wren Scott black crepe-and-silk-satin kimono dress with red silk-and-velvet contrast details.

Known for her love of all things black, I love the sidestep out of her comfort zone with the red details, and the effortless styling which allows her true beauty to shine.

A wavy updo and black Jimmy Choo ‘Anouk’ pumps rounded out her look.

L'Wren Scott for Banana Republic Collection Launch Party

To celebrate the launch of its latest collaboration, Banana Republic hosted a star-studded party at the Chateau Marmont Hotel in Los Angeles, California yesterday evening.

The mass retailer teamed up with designer L’Wren Scott on a limited-edition, 50-piece capsule collection. With holiday in mind, the lineup not only reflects Scott’s eye for tailoring and colorful prints, but it also features a bit more seasonally-appropriate sparkle and shine too. Notably, sequin-encrusted cardigans, lace and metallic cocktails dresses, faux-fur accented pieces, and a beaded lipstick-print foldover clutch. This may just be Banana Republic’s most glamorous collaboration yet, and for Scott, it’s her first stint working with a major global retailer.

Jessica Paré: The ‘Mad Men’ actress wore a L’Wren Scott for Banana Republic lips-print blouse tucked into a L’Wren Scott garnet red crepe pencil skirt with gold lacquer buttons, which she styled with a matching red sequin cardigan, red lipstick, and a black pumps. The cardigan was a distracting touch, but nonetheless, one that goes away as soon as it’s taken off.

Christina Hendricks: Following Jessica’s lead, the fellow ‘Mad Men’ star also donned the L’Wren Scott for Banana Republic red sequin cardigan over a L’Wren Scott black signature pencil skirt with gold stitching details and one of the collaboration’s peony-printed blouses. She accessorized with yellow metallic pumps, a black Oroton box clutch, and soft rosy makeup.

L’Wren Scott: The designer wore a black velvet and jersey lacquer button skirt with a coordinating black jet-and-thread embroidered cardigan from her main label, but didn’t stop there. To inject a burst of colour and texture, she styled the pieces with a L’Wren Scott for Banana Republic peony-printed chiffon blouse, velvet bow jacket, and royal blue velvet bow heels.

Of the three beauties dressed in L’Wren Scott for Banana Republic, whose styling do you prefer best?

Allison Williams In L'Wren Scott - 2013 CNN Heroes An All Star Tribute

Allison Williams attended the 2013 CNN Heroes: An All Star Tribute held at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City yesterday evening.

The ‘Girls’ actress opted for a super-sexy look, wearing a purple lacquer signature tweed dress from L’Wren Scott’s Spring 2014 collection.

Her dress, which sits just off the shoulder, was styled sans the Asia-inspired accessories we saw on the runway; Allison kept it simple with gold jewels and black pointy patent-leather Giuseppe Zanotti pumps.

I know some don’t favour this calf length, but I can find no faults with this ladylike look with a touch of sass appeal.

Harpers Bazaar Women Of The Year Awards Red Carpet RoundupThe fashionable femmes just kept flooding the Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards, hosted at Claridge’s Hotel in London, England on Tuesday evening. Alongside the starlets, a sweep of models and designers also took to the red carpet.

Natalia Vodianova: The Russian model, who was named Philanthropist of the Year, smiled brightly in a simply chic Stella McCartney Spring 2014 black and navy gown that managed to be both sporty and sleek with a cutout mock-halter neckline and graphic, cerulean colour-block panels at the sides. A Stella McCartney black faux-leather clutch—and what seemed to be barely a slick of makeup—finished this natural beauty’s effortless look.

L’Wren Scott: To accept her ‘Tastemaker of the Year’ award, presented by Olivia Munn, the statuesque designer donned a custom Lady Wisteria dress from her namesake collection. She wore the Asian-inspired, black silk crepe marocain number, with hand-shaded, red thread embroideries, with a pair of crimson, bow-topped pumps. The frock’s thigh-high slit only accented those mile-long legs.

Frida Giannini: The Gucci Creative Director, who received the ‘International Designer’ of the year award, flaunted a Gucci long-sleeve, low-back gown, in a glittery lurex black, silver and platinum leopard pattern. It was edgy-glam at its finest.

Jourdan Dunn: The cat walker, who claimed the Model of the Year prize, strutted out a Tom Ford black-and-white panel gown with side slit and a matching Stark clutch. While this monochrome moment was a mix of sophistication and sexiness, her slinky after-party number from Julien Macdonald’s Spring 2014 collection was just plain sexy. The sheer, netted gold number left little to the imagination—and even littler room for undergarments.

Olivia Munn In L'Wren Scott - Harpers Bazaar Women Of The Year Awards 2013

Olivia Munn was among the star-studded set at the Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards, held at Claridge’s Hotel in London yesterday evening.

While she usually lands on much sexier fare, the exotic beauty chose a head-to-toe look from L’Wren Scott’s Fall 2013 collection. The gold embellished neck collar — along with matching embellished pocket linings at front — provided this teal-green cocktail sheath with a little pizazz… but not much.

Because Olivia chose to wear her hair down with simple hoop earrings, we don’t really get to focus only on the statement details of the dress. I would have loved to seen this look worn with her hair swept back. As is, though, it falls a little flat for me.

To finish, she wore coordinating gold peep-toe pumps, which came across as too matchy-matchy for my taste.
