Allison Williams In L’Wren Scott – 2013 CNN Heroes: An All Star Tribute

Allison Williams In L'Wren Scott - 2013 CNN Heroes An All Star Tribute

Allison Williams attended the 2013 CNN Heroes: An All Star Tribute held at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City yesterday evening.

The ‘Girls’ actress opted for a super-sexy look, wearing a purple lacquer signature tweed dress from L’Wren Scott’s Spring 2014 collection.

Her dress, which sits just off the shoulder, was styled sans the Asia-inspired accessories we saw on the runway; Allison kept it simple with gold jewels and black pointy patent-leather Giuseppe Zanotti pumps.

I know some don’t favour this calf length, but I can find no faults with this ladylike look with a touch of sass appeal.

Harpers Bazaar Women Of The Year Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Harpers Bazaar Women Of The Year Awards Red Carpet RoundupThe fashionable femmes just kept flooding the Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards, hosted at Claridge’s Hotel in London, England on Tuesday evening. Alongside the starlets, a sweep of models and designers also took to the red carpet.

Natalia Vodianova: The Russian model, who was named Philanthropist of the Year, smiled brightly in a simply chic Stella McCartney Spring 2014 black and navy gown that managed to be both sporty and sleek with a cutout mock-halter neckline and graphic, cerulean colour-block panels at the sides. A Stella McCartney black faux-leather clutch—and what seemed to be barely a slick of makeup—finished this natural beauty’s effortless look.

L’Wren Scott: To accept her ‘Tastemaker of the Year’ award, presented by Olivia Munn, the statuesque designer donned a custom Lady Wisteria dress from her namesake collection. She wore the Asian-inspired, black silk crepe marocain number, with hand-shaded, red thread embroideries, with a pair of crimson, bow-topped pumps. The frock’s thigh-high slit only accented those mile-long legs.

Frida Giannini: The Gucci Creative Director, who received the ‘International Designer’ of the year award, flaunted a Gucci long-sleeve, low-back gown, in a glittery lurex black, silver and platinum leopard pattern. It was edgy-glam at its finest.

Jourdan Dunn: The cat walker, who claimed the Model of the Year prize, strutted out a Tom Ford black-and-white panel gown with side slit and a matching Stark clutch. While this monochrome moment was a mix of sophistication and sexiness, her slinky after-party number from Julien Macdonald’s Spring 2014 collection was just plain sexy. The sheer, netted gold number left little to the imagination—and even littler room for undergarments.

Olivia Munn In L’Wren Scott – Harper’s Bazaar Women Of The Year Awards 2013

Olivia Munn In L'Wren Scott - Harpers Bazaar Women Of The Year Awards 2013

Olivia Munn was among the star-studded set at the Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards, held at Claridge’s Hotel in London yesterday evening.

While she usually lands on much sexier fare, the exotic beauty chose a head-to-toe look from L’Wren Scott’s Fall 2013 collection. The gold embellished neck collar — along with matching embellished pocket linings at front — provided this teal-green cocktail sheath with a little pizazz… but not much.

Because Olivia chose to wear her hair down with simple hoop earrings, we don’t really get to focus only on the statement details of the dress. I would have loved to seen this look worn with her hair swept back. As is, though, it falls a little flat for me.

To finish, she wore coordinating gold peep-toe pumps, which came across as too matchy-matchy for my taste.

Jessica Paré attended the Pandora Essence Collection North America launch party, held at SkyBar at the Mondrian Los Angeles on Saturday in West Hollywood.

The ‘Mad Men’ actress chose a L’Wren Scott look for the evening’s festivities. From the black, ruffle-front, mock-neck, long-sleeved blouse to shimmery purple and black tuxedo-stripe pencil skirt, to the gladiator strap heels, it was certainly a look with a lot going on.

As for everything else, she styled the outfit with silver leaf earrings, tousled hair, and a less dramatic smoky cat-eye than she usually wears.

Michelle Dockery In L’Wren Scott – 10th Huading Awards

Michelle Dockery In L'Wren Scott

Michelle Dockery joined Nicole Kidman at the annual Huading Image Awards, hosted at The Venetian in Macau, China on Monday evening, where she picked up the ‘Best Global Actress’ in a TV Series award.

The ‘Downton Abbey’ actress was altogether statuesque in her L’Wren Scott Fall 2013 gown that had the undeniable—and rather appropriate—trappings of a sophisticated Asian influence with its collar neckline, cap sleeves and micro-floral print. What made the design even more dynamic were the black basket-weave V-panels that shot through the bodice and waist.

David Webb jewels, including a strong pair of burnt-orange earrings, along with a shiny gold Monica Rich Kosann clutch and Christian Louboutin heels, contributed just the right amount of added pizzazz without overwhelming the dress.

Her chic, swept-back bob finished the statement-making look.

Nicole Kidman In L’Wren Scott – Variety’s 5th Annual Power of Women Event

Nicole Kidman In L'Wren Scott - Variety’s 5th Annual Power of Women Event

Nicole Kidman attended Variety’s 5th Annual Power of Women event held at the Beverly Wilshire Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, California on Friday afternoon, where she was honoured for working with the UN Women.

The Australian actress wore a L’Wren Scott Fall 2013 black long-sleeve dress with gold metallic trims including stitched contour seaming, buttons, cuffs and pointy collar.

I have a feeling some may think this ages Nicole or deem the dress to be too matronly on her. While you won’t see me voting this BDOTW, it does feel very event appropriate – business-like, but with an exquisitely chic edge.

Jimmy Choo ‘Rumba’ sandals continued the black-and-gold theme, with gold earrings and barely there makeup completing her look.

Gretchen Mol In L'Wren Scott - 'Boardwalk Empire' Season Four New York Premiere

Gretchen Mol attended the ‘Boardwalk Empire’ season four New York premiere held at Ziegfeld Theater in New York City on Tuesday evening.

Sporting retro marcel waves, the actress wore a red lace frock which falls just below the knee with a slinky silhouette highlighting the décolleté to alluring effect, which is the signature of a L’Wren Scott dress.

Considering the striking colour of her dress, she styled her look with red strappy sandals and a red lip colour, with gold jewels amping up her look just that bit further.

Sexy sophistication personified.
