Kate Upton In Gucci & J. Mendel – ‘The Layover’ LA Premiere

Kate Upton didn’t disappoint on her return to the red carpet.

LAX Arrival: The model made some colourful waves while arriving at LAX on Wednesday (August 23), giving us contemporary maximalism-meets-the-mysterious-rainbow-era wearing Gucci.  The head-turning appliquéd sequined striped sweater featuring a sequined Bengal tiger design was a roaring success. I love the energetic feel of a high-octane piece, and her effortless styling of it.

‘The Layover’ LA Premiere: Some might think that someone who’s famous for frolicking in a bikini or posing on the cover of Sports Illustrated might have a hard time when it comes to eveningwear, but Kate Upton does not disappoint. She put on yet another eye-catching display in J. Mendel. Her Fall 2017 dress consisting of sultry sheer lace finds the right balance between sexy and chic. Styled with an Edie Parker clutch and Giseppe Zanotti sandals, the only pop of colour on this occasion came via her plump red lips. Earrings by Dana Rebecca Designs, a necklace by Established Jewelry, as well as rings by EF Collection and Graziela Gems completed her look.

Sienna Miller In Gucci – Apollo Theatre

Sienna Miller was spotted at the Apollo Theatre in London after her performance in ‘Cat on a Hot Tin Roof’ on Tuesday (August 22).

Seeing her Gucci Spring 2016 jacket on the runway was a completely different experience than seeing it on her.

While I can totally picture the boho-loving actress easily mixing and matching the jacket as originally presented, I loved the way she gave the piece its due time in the spotlight by styling it with just a black top and pants.

The effect was easy sophistication with a bold punch that fully celebrated the brand’s signature red and green colourways.

Classic Gucci loafers completed the chic, off-duty—or, after-performance, in her case—look.

Jessica Simpson takes the plunge in Gucci florals

Pop star turned entrepreneur Jessica Simpson, was spotted leaving the Bowery Hotel in New York City on Thursday (August 10).

Despite it being mid-summer, she is already reaching for her autumn closet wearing a Gucci Pre-Fall 2017 floral maxi dress.

Season aside, it feels very extravagant for a day time look, especially when you consider the rhinestone detailing.

Vintage-style shades, strappy sandals and a Dolce & Gabbana ‘Sicily’ bag completed her summer in the city look.

You may remember that Datoka Johnson wore this same dress during awards season.

Apple Music Launch Party Carpool Karaoke: The Series Launch Party

More femmes descended on the Chateau Marmont in LA for the ‘Carpool Karaoke: The Series’ On Apple Music launch party on Monday (August 7) to join Hailey Baldwin.

Liberty Ross: This Gucci Spring 2004 serpentine dress seemed ready to slither and slide right off, as the bust line seemed to dip precariously low. I also didn’t understand the long pendant necklace here—or the lacklustre pumps.

Jussie Smollett: I love how Jussie worked an eye-catching print into his look for a striking edge that was still on the right side of casual without being try-hard.

Natasha Bedingfield: Keeping it sweet and simple, the singer wore a Temperley London wide-leg jumpsuit softened by flutter lace sleeves.

‘The Dark Tower’ New York Premiere Red Carpet Roundup

Camila Alves wasn’t the only one at the New York premiere of ‘The Dark Tower’ on Monday (July 31).

Matthew McConaughey: Packing plenty of colourful attitude, Matthew embraced the glories of an aubergine suit styled with a navy tie and mahogany dress shoes. I just wish the tailoring had been a bit more precises, especially around the sleeves, as the look held so much potential.

Idris Elba: I’m not sure the cropped, racing-stripe khakis would have been my go-to pick for this Gucci ensemble that likewise featured an embellished, military-style jacket and matching loafers. But, they did contribute a certain sartorial playfulness. You have to love his willingness to step outside the style box.

Katheryn Winnick: Romance was alive and well in this Marchesa Resort 2018 floral gown that I loved for its darkly vibrant femininity, further elevated by Katheryn’s sleekly complementary styling.
