Fan Bingbing In Elie Saab Couture - ‘The Bling Ring’ Party

It looks like it’s going to be the Elie Saab Fan Bingbing show during Cannes Film Festival; the actress wore her third look by the Lebanese designer to ‘The Bling Ring’ party hosted by Louis Vuitton yesterday evening.

After attending the ‘Jeune & Jolie’ premiere wearing a couture gown from the Spring 2012 collection earlier in the evening, she made a quick change into this gorgeous lacy confection from the Fall 2012 Couture collection.

Opting for another braided updo, the actress styled her look with Chopard jewels and the same Louis Vuitton minaudière she carried on Day 1 of the festival.

Is Fan Bingbing wearing Elie Saab for every occasion becoming too predictable and stale or do you love this winning combo?

Fan BingBing In Elie Saab Couture - 'Skiptrace' Cannes Film Festival Photocall

Fan BingBing has already come out with gowns blazing during the first two days of the Cannes Film Festival, and her appearance at the ‘Skiptrace’ photocall on Thursday also brought the drama.

Prior to stunning in an Elie Saab confection at the ‘Jeune and Jolie’ premiere, the Asian style-setter wore her favourite designer, this time from the red-carpet-royal’s Spring 2013 Couture collection.

The angelic soft-white creation was covered in silvery embroidery, sparkling beadwork and lace, all of which was juxtaposed with the actress’s long dark locks and alabaster complexion.

She was like a modish and modern Snow White.

Was Fan’s look something of a fairytale or did it fade into the background?

Fan Bingbing In Elie Saab Couture - 'Jeune & Jolie' Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Many ladies swished their lovely gowns while taking to the red carpet this evening for the ‘Jeune & Jolie’ premiere during Cannes Film Festival, but Fan Bingbing was the first to catch my eye.
That’s because the Asian beauty was wearing Elie Saab Couture.

She may have left us a bit crestfallen that she broke with tradition last night, but she fulfilled her other Cannes duty which was to wear an Elie Saab Couture gown.

This summery yellow gown with an embellished bodice and textured skirt came from the Spring 2012 collection.

As beautfiul as her hair is, it often gets in the way, so I’m delighted she opted for a braided updo on this occasion.

A silver clutch, a divine orange lip colour and Chopard jewels completed her look.

Vahina Giocante In Elie Saab - ‘The Great Gatsby’ Premiere & Cannes Film Festival Opening Ceremony

Vahina Giocante stunned on the red carpet this evening for ‘The Great Gatsby’ Cannes Film Festival premiere, which also serves as the Opening Ceremony.

Thanks to the French actress, we didn’t have to wait long for our first Elie Saab red carpet gown at the Grand Théâtre Lumière.

While it’s not from my wish list, I am delighted that she selected this vibrant electric-blue version of the dolman-sleeved gown with sheer inserts which was presented in navy-blue in the look book.

The navy may have blended into the tuxedo-wearing photographers behind her, so this was a smart choice – plus, it was guaranteed to grab my attention considering this is my favourite colour.

A chic updo, red lips, stunning jewels and an Elie Saab clutch to match her gown completed her look.

Zoe Saldana In Elie Saab - ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ Mexico Premiere

Zoe Saldana looked white hot for the Mexico premiere of ‘Star Trek Into Darkness’ on Tuesday evening.

The actress wore an Elie Saab Fall 2013 white jumpsuit for the occasion without the runway cape.

As you know, I go weak at the knees at the sight of all but one jumpsuit, and that was definitely the case upon seeing Zoe’s white long-sleeved look with a chiffon bodice – revealing her lace brassiere – and waist-accenting cummerbund.

With her long pants you can’t see her shoes in this shot, but from other pictures it appears she wore champagne-coloured platforms, when I would’ve expected white.

A red manicure to match her pout and a slicked-back ponytail completed her BDOTW-worthy look.

Queen Beatrix Of The Netherlands Abdication State Dinner

Many more royals took to the red carpet at Amsterdam’s Rijksmuseum for the dinner thrown by Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands to celebrate her abdication and her son’s investiture yesterday evening.

Crown Princess Mary of Denmark: As always, my heart did flutter when I saw Mary on the red carpet.
Looking nothing short of spectacular and every inch a modern princess, she wore a Birgit Hallstein gown, a designer she has worn a few times before. Her off-the-shoulder blush gown with an embellished bodice was accented with a satin waistband, with a Bottega Veneta clutch, Prada pumps and her wedding tiara completing her look.

Princess Mette-Marit of Norway: While this gorgeous floral confection didn’t take to the runway, the pretty print is distinctive of the Giambattista Valli Spring 2013 collection. I really love the simplicity of this look, as much as the more showy gowns at this event. Even her tiara was slightly modest compared to the others.
