Ashley Madekwe In Diane Von Furstenberg - InStyle Summer Soiree

Putting her best (well-manicured) foot forward, Ashley Madekwe attended the 12th Annual InStyle Summer Soiree held at the Mondrian Los Angeles in West Hollywood, California yesterday evening.

When I think of summer soirees I think of pretty floral frocks, but Ashley didn’t play the predictable game; instead, she worked a sexy saffron-yellow Diane von Furstenberg Spring 2013 halter jumpsuit with a deep plunge and draped detailing.

Impeccable styling, as we expect from this British beauty, saw her adding a vintage Chanel No. 5 belt – a find from Very Vintage – her can’t-live-without Saint Laurent ‘Jane’ sandals, and a black Jimmy Choo ‘Tube’ clutch to her bold all-in-one.

A slicked-back ‘do and bold red lips completed her stunning look.

Are you crushing on this look as hard as I am?

Teen Choice Awards 1

Here is a roundup of the rest of the looks from the 2013 Teen Choice Awards.

Anna Camp: The blonde beauty wore an Emilio Pucci powder-blue sequinned long-sleeved dress with lace and point d’esprit inserts and an open back, which she styled with silver Rupert Sanderson ‘Elba’ pumps, vintage jewels, a Kotur clutch and a chic topknot. You may remember that Selena Gomez wore this in black back in March on Letterman.

Brittany Snow: Also working a lace frock, Brittany wore an Oliver Tolentino green floral lace dress with a nude underlay styled with Jimmy Choo ‘Vamp’ sandals, a coral Oroton clutch – which looks very heavy – and a matching lip colour, with a braided updo completing her look.

Joey King: The ‘White House Down’ actress opted for a pretty lime-green Moschino strapless printed dress with embellishments, styled with gold sandals and a subtle pendant necklace.

Who Wore Diane von Furstenberg Better Rita Ora or Paloma Faith

Here we have two British singers and one Diane von Furstenberg Spring 2013 dress.

Rita Ora was the first to wear this Grecian-goddess white gown embellished with clear holographic sequins, for the 2013 Brit Awards announcement back in January.

On this rare occasion she wasn’t sporting a red pout; styling included nude pumps, a red manicure and a selection of rings.

Paloma Faith wore the same dress while performing on stage at T in the Park last month, adding a decorative floral accent perched on top of her red-and-blonde updo, with Steve Madden sparkly pumps completing the look.

I am not a fan of either shoe choice, so I will give this one to Paloma for making this performance piece a showstopper with the headpiece.

Minka Kelly In Diane von Furstenberg - 'The Butler' New York Press Conference

Prior to Monday night’s premiere for ‘The Butler’, Minka Kelly and James Marsden attended the press conference for the movie held at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City.

The actress wore another pretty printed frock, this time from the Diane von Furstenberg Resort 2014 collection.

Her white-and-blue orchid-print frock with a keyhole detail, flounced skirt and blue sleeves was styled with Oscar Tiye ‘Malikah’ sandals in a petrol-blue hue which perfectly complemented the details on her frock.

I will repeat myself by saying that both her hair and makeup are flawless once again.

Hopefully we will get to see more of her during this promo tour.

Alexandra Daddario In Diane von Furstenberg - 'Percy Jackson Sea Of Monsters' LA Premiere

Alexandra Daddario brought a blue crush to the red carpet for the ‘Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters’ Los Angeles premiere, held yesterday at The Americana at Brand in California.

The actress donned a pretty Diane von Furstenberg Resort 2014 dress, patterned in a sky-blue, mini-orchid motif and accented with navy sheer paneling and a flutter sleeve.

The design was effortless and feminine—and a fresh spin off the iconic wrap dress. But what really transformed the look from standard to special was that it matched Alexandra’s crystal-blue eyes. A sleek updo would have intensified the effect.

Jimmy Choo’s suede-grey ‘Award’ pumps, topped off with a croc toe cap, translated as a bit heavy and wouldn’t have been my first choice for this breezy frock.
