Red Carpet Fashion Awards

A reader said that I failed when it came to the BDOTW poll this week.

What that person failed to realize is that August is a quiet month. It always has been for red carpet fashion as celebs are either on vacation or filming their next blockbuster.

Granted there were slim pickings this week, but you chose Chloe Moretz in Christopher Kane as your favourite.

The 14 year old continues to pull off some of the most sophisticated designs with uncanny grace and confidence.

I went for Rihanna in Antonio Berardi.

With so many black and white looks on the red carpet this week, I was relieved to see someone wear some colour on Friday.

It was the perfect end to a quiet week.

Chloe Moretz attended the Empire Big Screen Event at the O2 Arena in London this weekend.

The American teen actress wore a beautiful Christopher Kane Resort 2012 ensemble.

Her look consisted of a sequin rainbow top and cut away silk rainbow skirt.

Chloe wore her skirt over the top which gave her waist more definition.

It’s still so hard to believe Chloe is only 14 as taking full ownership of what she is wearing in such a graceful mature manner.

Black strappy sandals and an updo with a few pieces framing her face completed her look.

Emma Stone made a guest appearance on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” last week to promote her new movie “The Help”.

She wore a neon pink Christopher Kane Resort 2012 dress with chartreuse Brian Atwood pumps.

Firstly, I love that the red head beauty continues to embrace bold colours.

Secondly, she must have the most extensive Brian Atwood ‘Maniac’ collection compared to most Hollywood starlets.

Just last week we saw her wearing a fuchsia pink pair.

What I love most about Emma’s dress is the pleated detail on the side.

Ippolita earrings, a Carla Amorim ring, smoky eyes and a chic updo completed her look.

Ciara continued her Station Invasion Concert tour last night with DJ Skribble at Beekman’s At South Street Seaport, Pier 17 in New York City.

As you know I have a mild obsession with Ciara’s body, mostly because I wish to have the same toned physic but I’m too indisciplined due to my love for carbs, cakes and Häagen-Dazs.

I love that Ciara is never afraid to show off the results of her hard work.

She picked the perfect look by wearing this Christopher Kane Fall 2011 dress.

The rectangular cut-out details which show off her abs have me reaching for my gym bag.

I’m surprised this look doesn’t have the gel-filled PVC trims as this was the signature of this collection, but it doesn’t stop this from being a smoking hot dress for Ciara.

I do however really dislike those horse hooves on her feet.

Eliza Doolittle is known for wearing short shorts, cute mini skirts and crop tops, so it was pleasantly surprised to see her sport a different look at the “Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 2″ World Premiere After Party in London tonight.

The British singer-songwriter wore a Christopher Kane Spring 2011 dress without the matching runway cardi.

I love this neon pink lace delicate dress for the colourful floral embroidery and the peekaboo double splits on the skirt.

Usually I’m not a fan of wooden platforms because they kill my feet, but I could easily fall for Eliza’s Christian Louboutin’s.

An added pop of colour came via her red box clutch.

Alexa Chung arrived at the 2011 Met Gala wearing something short and sassy.

I love her version of this Christopher Kane Fall 2011 dress.

Her dress with a sheer yoke is covered with paillettes with the signature liquid plastic details.

Alexa also carried a clutch from the same collection.

I don’t hate Alexa’s shoe choice on this occasion based on the colour, but I do wish she’d worn a difffent pair because I feel like I have seen her in these heels a millions times before.
