Front Row @ Armani Prive Fall 2017

A trio of lovelies turned out for the Armani Prive Fall 2017 show as part of Haute Couture Paris Fashion Week on Tuesday (July 4), each representing a monochromatic Armani look.

Naomi Watts: While I loved the crisp structure of Naomi’s blazer, it lost some of its appeal against the exploded-floral-embroidered dress. The flared length of the frock felt awkward, but it was perhaps the nude shoe colour that was the most distracting miss.

Kate Winslet: The sparkling embellishment at the shoulder and waist of this LBD is what sold it to me—that, and how effortlessly Kate wore it. A sandal would have been preferred, though, to her Rupert Sanderson pumps.

Priyanka Chopra: Methinks the high-low hemline of this white frock ventured a bit too high. Nor did the diamond earrings mixed with the dress’s sportier drawstring detailing and black, lace-up shoes really come together.

What do you make of these three looks?

Juliette Binoche In Armani Prive – 2017 Cannes Film Festival Closing Ceremony

Juliette Binoche attended the closing ceremony of the 2017 Cannes Film Festival this evening (May 28) wearing a sparkling Armani Prive gown.

What I love most about this sequin gown is the outstanding cut rather than the dazzling sequins.

The hourglass silhouette bolstered by the asymmetrical neckline, jewels and improved hairstyle, still come second to her breath-taking Balmain gown in my opinion.

Paz Vega In Armani Privé – ‘In The Fade (Aus Dem Nichts)’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Paz Vega attended the second premiere taking place during Cannes Film Festival tonight (May 26); ‘In The Fade (Aus Dem Nichts)’.

Her Armani Prive Fall 2016 shimmering column gown is a classically glamorous style which is incredibly flattering on her statuesque frame.

The dangling Chopard earrings and satin sandals complete a look of modern elegance, but I can’t help but wish she switched up her hairstyle just once during this festival.

Uma Thurman In Armani Privé – 2017 amfAR Gala Cannes

Uma Thurman also attended the amfAR Gala Cannes, held on Thursday (May 25) during the 2017 Cannes Film Festival wearing Armani Privé.

I feel like every major actress has at least one red carpet menswear-inspired moment that sticks out in everyone’s minds for years to come, and this might just be Uma’s.

The bedazzled skirt is simply flawless underneath the photographers’ lights and the popped collar with the necklace-as-tie is fun and brought a smile to my face.

I’m not as thrilled with her bangs however–they look dated and aging and are not working at all!

Tell me, do you love this menswear-inspired look as much as I do?

Cannes Film Festival Day 7 Red Carpet Roundup

Day 7 of the Cannes Film Festival brought with it some stunning entrances as part of the 70th anniversary celebration. Here are more looks that took to the red carpet on Tuesday (May 23)

Irina Shayk: The model wasn’t at the 70th screening but she was at the ‘Hikari (Radiance)’ premiere, where it would seem to have taken the title of the film into account in her lemon-bright Atelier Versace custom gown styled with Lorraine Schwartz canary yellow diamonds to match. The dress was not only sheer Versace with its ruched, slit seductiveness, it was also sheer through and through although its lemony hue somewhat distracted from the see-through effect.

Bianca Balti: For the 70th anniversary screening, Bianca opted for a Dolce and Gabbana Alta Moda embroidered gown styled with DeGrisogono statement earrings. With a faint kimono-esque style, the dress held a sense of restrained elegance—although I did find the embellished heels to be unnecessary to complete the picture.

Nicole Kidman In Armani Privé – Cannes Film Festival 70th Anniversary Celebration

Nicole Kidman made her way down the red carpet for the 70th anniversary screening during Cannes Film Festival, rounding out a quadrality of Armani Privé looks this evening.

The actress is determined to keep us on our toes as she’s gone from tin-woman, to modern ballerina to luxe bohemian babe in a matter of days.

It’s not at all what I expected, but I do like this statement-making design which brings together modern elegance and couture-level craftsmanship which is always a winning combination .

An OMEGA timepiece completed the look.
