Nieves Alvarez In Zuhair Murad Couture, Andrew Gn & Pinko - Solo Moda

Nieves Alvarez ushered in the New Year during her ‘Solo Moda’ show over the weekend with the same lofty level of style that won her the Best Dressed International Star of 2013.

On Saturday (January 4), the model host exclusively strutted out a trio of tantalizing Zuhair Murad Fall 2013 Couture designs, each one taking the notion of lace to a new level.

First, she was the epitome of full-on glamour in a snow-queen-worthy, icy-blue gown, embellished with a sea of sparkling, crystallized branches and finished with an illusion neckline and a sheer lacy sleeve.

Following this floor-scraping confection, Nieves debuted a knee-length nude design, emblazoned with black flowery embroidery. The nude effect and the plunge detail oozed sultriness, while the peplum waist and classic silhouette was sophistication personified.

The calling card for her final look of the day was its dreamy colour of deep lilac. Of course, despite the refined sweetheart neckline and cocktail length, the sheer nature of the embroidered purple filigree had sexiness written all over it.

Vogue NO 100 Night In Beijing

The glamour was on full display at Tuesday’s Vogue NO. 100 Night in Beijing. Here’s a look at who wore what for the evening’s festivities.

Shu Qi: The actress wore an embellished Hugo Boss Fall 2013 gown with its statement hardware belt, styling it with a slicked-back bun and minimalist drop earrings. While this dress was previously worn by Jourdan Dunn, it could almost be mistaken as two very different looks, don’t you think?

Du Juan: The model-actress stepped out in a floor-length, sleeveless Valentino Resort 2014 dress that featured all-over floral embroidery. Her pin-straight locks and red lip completed the look.

Liu Zi: Clad in a wine-red Emporio Armani Fall 2013 number, Liu Zi showed off the dress’s one sleeve on, one sleeve off detail, along with its almost cumbersome voluminous shape. She paired the look with a black-and-gold clutch and a gold collar statement necklace.

Qin Shupei: The lanky model chose a strapless LWD with floral-embroidered waist detail from the Christian Dior Fall 2013 collection, which she complemented with a red lip, white pumps, and a simple double-strand silver necklace.

Li Feier: By choosing a floor-skimming white lace Dolce & Gabbana number, Li looked mermaid-like and ethereal. She accessorized with a white clutch, gold cuff, and a skinny tiara.

Emma Pei: The model evoked quite the 1920s flapper vibe in her Giorgio Armani Fall 2013 look, consisting of a silver-sequin, black-button vest top layered over a black velvet dress. A gold-plated black clutch, black sandals, and barely-there makeup were her final touches.

Haden Kuo: The actress wore a sleeveless, floor-length, gold Andrew Gn Fall 2013 dress with black lace overlay, pairing it with her long wavy locks to finish.

Ge Huijie: The model selected one of the dramatic mesh-and-feathered dresses from the Gucci Fall 2013 lineup. The eye-catching points didn’t stop there, though. She styled her dress with sheer black tights, holographic sandals, a grey clutch, hoop earrings, and a matte red lip.

Jena Malone In Andrew Gn - ‘The Hunger Games Catching Fire’ Victory Mall Tour

Jena Malone joined Meta Golding on ‘The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’ Victory Mall Tour at Cherry Hill Mall, New Jersey on Sunday.

The actress, who plays Johanna Mason in the movie, went in a total different direction to her colour co-star opting for all black.

Jena wore a black sheer blouse with a printed front panel styled with a black Andrew Gn Fall 2013 black step hem skirt featuring geometric velvet panels and studded appliqués to give the look an edge.

The skirt is really the stand out piece here.

Someone should’ve told Jena to tuck in her blouse properly before this photo and the shoes are beyond blah.

Makeup wise I love the pink lip and it looks like someone is following in Lily Collins’ footstep with the teenage brow.

Lizzy Caplan In Andrew Gn - 'Masters Of Sex' New York Series Premiere

Lizzy Caplan attended the ‘Masters Of Sex’ New York series screening held at The Morgan Library & Museum yesterday evening.

Like Mary Elizabeth Winstead, the actress wore an Andrew Gn look featuring a caped top, but her ivory-and-black dress with green leaf embroidery was from the Resort 2014 collection.

Considering the colour palette of her dress, she punched up the look with an emerald ring, dual-colour sandals and a black clutch.

The styling is just as impressive as the dress. Do you agree?

Mary Elizabeth Winstead In Andrew Gn - 'ACOD' LA Premiere

Mary Elizabeth Winstead made a very welcome return to the red carpet for the première of her latest movie ‘A.C.O.D.’ held at the Landmark Theater in LA yesterday evening.

Normally around this time we are perplexed by celebs opting to spring forward to wear the latest designs just presented on the runway while we are wrapping up for fall, but Mary not only hits all the right style notes but she also captures the mood of the current season wearing this warm-hued Andrew Gn Spring 2013 ensemble.

The look features an embellished caped top and fitted embellished pencil skirt styled with metallic-silver Jimmy Choo ‘Anouk’ pumps and a taupe Kotur clutch.

Looking at this magnificent look, we need more Mary Elizabeth Winsteads on the red carpet because this is perfection personified from head to toe.  J’Adore.
