Yo Dona Awards 2015 Red Carpet Roundup

Yo Dona Awards 2015 Red Carpet Roundup

A host of actresses joined Nieves Alvarez on the red carpet for the Yo Dona Awards on Wednesday (June 24) in Madrid, Spain.

Megan Montaner: I was blown away by her Andrew Gn embellished mosaic jacquard gown from the Pre-Fall 2015 collection. Not only because it signals the end of the colour and print drought on the red carpet this summer, but also because I’m in awe of how one so petite can totally own this gown.

Celia Freijeiro: This Naeem Khan Fall 2015 sparkling number was one of the stand out looks at this event. However, a part of me believes that she should’ve opted for silver Jimmy Choo’s. The gold option isn’t quite working for me.

Jurassic World LA Premiere

Jurassic World LA Premiere
The ‘Jurassic World’ premiere was hosted at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California on Tuesday (June 9), where the fall season was still alive and well in some of the sartorial selections.

Anna Faris: The bubbly blonde starlet dialled up her look in a high-octane Rubin Singer silver beaded frock styled with matching metallic accessories.

Bryce Dallas Howard
: Taking a significantly more dramatic direction, the actress donned a midnight-navy Emilio Pucci gown with cutouts and gold chain detailing for a seductive finish. Yet again, this was a very fall-inspired look for a summer premiere, with the severity of her slick ponytail and vampy oxblood lip only adding to the darker allure.

Camille Belle
: Lightening the mood, but just barely, Camille wore a black Andrew Gn Fall 2015 dress that was thankfully enlivened with pink and purple geometric embellishment and accessorized with a tonal Jimmy Choo clutch and black Brian Atwood pumps. However, I still would have preferred her in a brighter, summery look to go with those beach-y, blonde waves.

Variety’s Actors on Actors: Emmy Edition Red Carpet Roundup

Variety's Actors on Actors Emmy Edition Red Carpet Roundup

The Variety Studio Actors on Actors: Emmy Edition event, held on March 29 in Los Angeles, was a regular who’s who of powerful women in TV.

Mindy Kaling: Looking radiant and ready for spring, Mindy wore a matching green top and skirt with a bold tropical flower print. Paired with blush pink sandals, classic gold jewelry and a sleek, low-slung ponytail and soft pink lips, Mindy is looking gorgeous.

Lizzy Caplan: Taking a sleeker approach to the event, Lizzy wore a Andrew Gn Spring 2015 suit with white accent, Bionda Castana ‘Rosario’ pumps and Ippolita jewels. I love that she chose the white pumps with the look–it definitely adds some fun, and easy curls and bright red lips have her looking every bit the HBIC that she is.

Viola Davis: It’s not every day that a daytime frock gives you a ‘takes my breath away’ moment, but Viola did that for me in this sleeveless blue Donna Karan dress with lace and silver piping accents. She paired the look with gold Vince Camuto heels and Swarovski earrings, and she looks so radiant and fresh, I just can’t take my eyes off of her. Bouncy curls, glowing skin and a glossy pop of color on her lips finishes the ravishing look.

Sophie McShera In Andrew Gn – ‘Cinderella’ LA Premiere

Sophie McShera In Andrew Gn - ‘Cinderella’ LA Premiere

Sophie McShera attended the premiere of Disney’s ‘Cinderella’ held at the El Capitan Theatre on Sunday (March 1) in Hollywood, California.

The ‘Downton Abbey’ actress, who stars in this movie as Drizella, one of Cinderella’s older stepsisters, was not to be left in the corner wearing this bold floral-print Andrew Gn Resort 2015 gown.

I love how the colour signals that spring is upon us and the appliqués give a 3-D effect to those lush floral blooms. This was a gown worthy of a major movie premiere.

However, while I would never say that an actress in a movie should play down her red carpet look in order not to upstage the main star, in this case a part of me feels like that’s exactly what has happened here to Lily James.

By the same token, I will take nothing away from Sophie’s look. She often fades into the background, so I’m delighted she had her moment to shine.

If you are having a strong case of déjà vu, that may be because Kaitlyn Dever wore a short-sleeve version of this gown in a sunnier yellow and orange hue back in October.

Rashida Jones In Andrew Gn – 2015 Vanity Fair Oscar Party

Rashida Jones In Andrew Gn - 2015 Vanity Fair Oscar Party

Rashida Jones attended the 2015 Vanity Fair Oscar Party held at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday (February 22) in Beverly Hills, California.

Oozing a quiet elegance, a touch of boho flavour and showcasing her love for colour, Rashida blew me away with her fanciful floral bloom Andrew Gn Spring 2015 gown.

I love how subtle drama was created via the strategically pleated skirt for an extra-voluminous pouf.

The delightful shoulder ruffles, the colours, those breathtaking Lorraine Schwartz emerald earrings, that pink lip – I’m captivated by it all.

Hailee Steinfeld In Andrew Gn – 2015 Vanity Fair Party

Hailee Steinfeld In Andrew Gn - 2015 Vanity Fair Party

Hailee Steinfeld was also in the mix at the 2015 Vanity Fair Party at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday (February 22) in Beverly Hills, California.

The trendsetting starlet took a dramatic turn in an Andrew Gn Pre-Fall 2015 gown that really took my breath away.

Manifested in a rich, multicoloured palette, the Byzantine-inspired tapestry pattern was bold and beautiful, creating a stained-glass effect.

Amping up the look even more was the shine of the sequined bodice, not to mention her magenta-oxblood lip.

With her ponytail adding a youthful flair, this look sees Hailee showing a more mature style stance yet still maintaining the risk-taking, directional edge that we’ve come to expect and appreciate.
