Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge In Alexander McQueen – Trooping The Colour 2017

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge was positively beaming at the Trooping The Colour 2017 parade on Saturday (June 17) in London alongside Prince William, Duke of Cambridge with the adorable Princess Charlotte and Prince George close at hand.

Her colour mantra for the day clearly took cues from pretty in pink, as she relied on favoured design house of Alexander McQueen for this sweet, gathered and pleated dress.

Together, with a matching Jane Taylor fascinator, this was right in the proper, sophisticated vein of Catherine’s style.

It was her radiant smile that sold the look, as one cannot deny the charm factor here.

Charlize Theron In Alexander McQueen – Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Charlize Theron was seen on the streets of Hollywood, California last Thursday (June 8) heading a studio for her guest appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

The stunning actress chose a sheer black Alexander McQueen Pre-Fall 2017 dress for the occasion, adding grunge undertones with a studded oversized belt.

Accessorising with a pair of subtle Stuart Weitzman ‘Applique’ suede sandals and sunglasses, this look fell in line with her signature sophisticated looks, with the frill detail and bustier style of the gown nodding to the nightwear as daywear trend.

2017 Tony Awards Menswear Roundup

The men were not to be left backstage with their red-carpet looks at the 2017 Tony Awards on Sunday (June 11) in New York City.

Ben Platt: The young Broadway actor showed off a perfectly tailored fit in a bespoke David Hart suit that featured a rich navy colour with contrasting black lapels.

Jordan Roth: The Broadway mogul flaunted his theatrical side in a rock-star-red Gucci Resort 2017 slim-line suit complete with the embellished roaring tiger motif at the back. This was the performance piece of the night—at least on the sartorial stage.

Bee Shaffer In Alexander McQueen & Anna Wintour In Maison Margiela – 2017 Tony Awards

The 2017 Tony Awards took place on Sunday (June 11) in New York City, and everybody’s favourite mother and daughter duo were in attendance. Bee Shaffer and Anna Wintour both stunned in their respective gowns.

Bee Shaffer: Taken from the Fall 2017 Alexander McQueen Collection Bee’s dress is a riot of colour and texture. The hanging ribbons resemble tassels and give the look a grounded, effortless feel. The patchwork design feels traditional and highlights the incredible workmanship that went into the gown. I love Bee’s Irene Neuwirth jewels which mirror the cascading tassels and ribbons. The red lip and updo is the polished element this look needs to finish it perfectly.

Anna Wintour: There are some who may feel this look is a bit dated, but I love it. Classic and elegant, fashion’s matriarch wears an Anna’s Maison Margiela Spring 2017 Couture gown. Whilst the runway styling is more exciting and shows this dress to its full potential, next to Bee in her busy dress Anna looks perfectly poised. Some gold jewellery and the addition of the original runway waist-tie could have helped to finish this look.

Eva Green In Stella McCartney & Alexander McQueen – ‘Based On A True Story’ Cannes Film Festival Photocall & Premiere

Eva Green promoted her upcoming film, ‘Based On A True Story’ during Cannes Film Festival yesterday (May 27) opting for two British brands.

Photocall: Her Stella McCartney’s jumpsuit epitomizes modern sophistication. The look was made infinitely more interesting with red lip and onyx jewels.

Premiere: By nightfall, the look had turned more dramatic in Alexander McQueen. I love how the silver sequin ‘shipwreck’ embroidery black tulle Spring 2017 dress feels like it has its own story to tell. That’s always been the mystic, magic and allure of Eva. She tends to select artful red carpet looks.

Diane Kruger In Alexander McQueen- 2017 amfAR Gala Cannes

Diane Kruger channeled a dark, creative mood at the amfAR Gala during the Cannes Film Festival on Thursday (May 25).

We can generally expect Diane to dance with edgier, less expected looks, and she stayed true to form here in this Alexander McQueen Fall 2017 ensemble with Chopard jewels.

With its array of metallic embroidery and dripping in fringe, the look was certainly ready for a boho bewitching hour.

But, unlike her prior whimsical gown, I found the whimsy in this entrance to be heavier than I’d prefer for the likes of Cannes.

What do you make of it?
