Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge In Alexander McQueen - 70th Anniversary of D-Day Ceremony

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge attended a ceremony to mark the 70th anniversary of D-Day on Sword Beach on Friday (June 6) in Ouistreham, France.

No surprised that she opted to repeat a look, wearing the same light blue Alexander McQueen coat that she wore during her mind-numbingly boring three-week tour of Australia and New Zealand.

On this occasion she paired the coat with black pumps, instead of navy, adding a black fascinator, which was perfectly perched above her signature bouncy blowout, and a Mulberry black clutch.

Hillary Scott In L'Wren Scott - 2014 CMT Music Awards

Hillary Scott of Lady Antebellum attended the 2014 CMT Music Awards at the Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday (June 4) in Nashville, Tennessee.

The singer donned a sprightly L’Wren Scott Spring 2014 striped and red floral-print dress.

While I like the summery feel of this look and this change of pace, as the majority opted for gowns, I’m not a fan of those gold Brian Atwood ‘Yuna’ sandals.

Glamour Women of the Year Awards Menswear Roundup3

It wasn’t only beautiful women attending the Glamour Women of the Year Awards on Tuesday (June 3) in London; here is a quick look at the fellas.

Samuel L Jackson: As my mother would say, be careful what you wish for. I’m always harping on about menswear being a black, navy and grey affair, but here the actor shuns that trend, opting for a turquoise suit with a green print shirt, green satin tie and white slippers. Well, at least he tried something different.

Ryan Reynolds: The actor was on hand to present the Icon award to Dame Helen Mirren. Ryan looked very dapper wearing a Brunello Cucinelli blue herringbone suit with a striped tie styled with a white pocket square and brown shoes.

Glamour Women Of The Year Awards - Arrivals

Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jesy Nelson, Perrie Edwards and Jade Thirlwall from Little Mix attended the Glamour Women of the Year Awards held at Berkeley Square Gardens on Tuesday (June 3) in London, England, where they picked up the award for Band of the Year.

Leigh-Anne Pinnock: The glamour girl of the group opted for a pretty strapless gown with a sculptured bodice and a heavenly printed chiffon ball skirt.

Jesy Nelson: Going in the opposite direction, the singer donned all black, working a Saint Laurent tuxedo jumpsuit, opening up the neckline to reveal a black lace tube bra. The look was styled with black pumps and a black clutch, with a vampy red lip providing the finishing touch. The pant length should’ve been shortened. I like the idea but not the execution.

Perrie Edwards: Opting for a classic black and white look, the singer donned an elegant Donna Mizani gown styled with a black beaded Zara clutch. The death-warmed-up makeup is throwing me off here.

Jade Thirlwall: Perhaps the most casual of the group, Jade wore a crisp white Alexander McQueen shirt dress with an asymmetrical hemline, styled with pops of red via her lips and Zara strappy sandals.

I love the cohesion, they all complement each other well while staying true to their individual styles, but only Leigh-Anne and Jade nailed their looks from head to toe for me.

Naomi Campbell In Alexander McQueen - Glamour Women Of The Year Awards

Naomi Campbell attended the Glamour Women of the Year Awards held at Berkeley Square Gardens on Tuesday (June 3) in London, England, where she picked up the TV Personality award for her show ‘The Face’.

The supermodel, who jetted in from New York following her appearance on the red carpet wearing a Marc Jacobs gown at the CFDA Fashion Awards, opted for a fiery McQueen number on this occasion.

The fringed gladiator-style black and red piece worn with the runway gold choker and statement platform heels is a hard look to upstage, but her tumbling wavy tresses really get in the way here.

Why wear a work of art such as this if 40% of it is going to be obscured by your hair?

Marcia Cross In Alexander McQueen - Life Ball 2014

Marcia Cross attended the Life Ball 2014 at City Hall on Saturday (May 31) in Vienna, Austria.

The actress wore an Alexander McQueen strapless gown which portrayed a charming elegance with a fiery floral print.

Cut from a sumptuous silk chiffon, this gorgeously draped maxi piece with a flowy silhouette creating an airy, ethereal impression was styled with a selection of jewels which didn’t upstage her frock.
