Meryl Streep In Alexander McQueen – ‘The Post’ London Premiere

Meryl Streep was in London yesterday evening (January 10) for the premiere of ‘The Post’ held at the Odeon Leicester Square.

Some people wouldn’t put the words “Meryl Streep” and “modern style” in the same sentence, but that’s what this Alexander McQueen Fall 2017 suit with its striking silhouette and luxurious fit portrays.

I love the subtle drama imbued with the draped detail and the supreme elegance of it all.

Meryl is, and always will be, a class act.

Alexandre Birman velvet pumps and Lorraine Schwartz jewels completed her look.

2018 Golden Globe Awards Parties

The 2018 Golden Globe Awards were a study in many glamorous renditions of the colour black. And, for the most part, the Globes after parties followed suit with the hue taking on all measures of late-night allure.

Diane Kruger: After a regally glamorous entrance at the Globes, Diane was at the InStyle and Warner Bros. post-party, where she imbued black, cropped trousers with a bit of creamy lace in this Alexander McQueen Spring 2018 ensemble. I have a feeling that the tattered, asymmetrical effect of the lace bustier top will turn some away from the more experimental look.

Tessa Thompson: At HBO’s official after party in LA, Tessa suited up in an Alexandre Vauthier Fall 2017 Couture menswear-inspired look that delivered plenty of intriguing edge when styled with the MATEO jewelry and bauble-accented sandals. I was happy for the sheer shirting underneath to balance the boxier shape of the tuxedo blazer.

Nina Dobrev: The actress flaunted her toned abs at the InStyle party in this Ralph Lauren cutout gown. Even with the futuristic liquid-silver paneling, something about the look read a bit dated. Alexis Bittar choker completed her look.

Gal Gadot In Alexander McQueen – W Magazine Celebrates Its ‘Best Performances’ Portfolio

Gal Gadot helped W Magazine celebrates its ‘Best Performances’ Portfolio and the Golden Globes at Chateau Marmont on Thursday (January 4) in Los Angeles, joining Pom Klementieff and Michelle Monaghan.

The ‘Wonder Woman’ actress donned an Alexander McQueen gown which presented a sophisticated superhero vibe with the red stitching and straps against the black base.

The sheer lace inserts on the skirt contrasted the bodice’s athleisure feel by adding a coquettish allure.

I think a red lip would have helped elevate the ensemble, but the natural makeup and sleek hair do create an effortless vibe.

Laura Dern In Alexander McQueen – ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ London Premiere

Following her disappointing look at the LA premiere, Laura Dern was back to redeem herself for the ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ premiere in London this evening (December 12).

I love how the feathers on her Alexander McQueen Resort 2018 gown lends sensual attitude and indulgent prettiness to the pink hue.

Some might dislike the Christian Louboutin velvet black boots, but I found myself liking the contrast.

Cate Blanchett In Alexander McQueen – London Evening Standard Theatre Awards

Cate Blanchett made a return to the red carpet for the London Evening Standard Theatre Awards on Sunday (December 3).

There have been mixed feelings on Cate’s last few outings, but I’m confident this Alexander McQueen Resort 2018 gown will get a resounding thumbs up.

I love the warm feeling I get from this two-piece wool and taffeta outfit.

Not only because of the intriguing embellishment, but also for the fable, fairytale, fantasy feeling despite the modernity of the look.

So relaxed and effortless, yet glamorous to live up to the occasion.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

There were plenty of gents showcasing their sartorial styles on the red carpet over the last two days.

Garrett Hedlund: Dressed for the Gotham Awards, I found myself overly distracted by the bed hair to pay too much attention to his windowpane Dolce & Gabbana suit and Christian Louboutin ‘Roadie’ boots.

Harry Styles: The one person you can never accuse of playing it safe when it comes to suiting is Harry Styles. The singer, who performed at the ARIA Awards today, was looking very dapper in his bespoke Alexander McQueen multicolour paisley double-breasted suit. And the suaveness and 60s inspo didn’t end there, as he styled the look with metallic bronze boots.

Timothée Chalamet: The young actor and Berluti appear to be a match made in fashion heaven. His burgundy Berluti Fall 2017 suit was exquisitely textured in velvet to present a smart look with contemporary flair. Timothée’s suit was styled with a cashmere sweater and ‘Austin’ boots all from Berluti.
