Red Carpet Fashion Awards

“Astro Boy” Los Angeles Premiere

Kristen Bell’s Oscar de la Renta Resort 2010 navy blue and white embroidered dress works very well because she has kept accessories to a minimum.

She teamed her dress with a pair of simple cut-out heels.

30th Annual Salute To Women In Sports Awards, New York

Laila Ali is defying the myth that sportswomen can’t look elegant and feminine on the red carpet, by wearing a breath-taking raspberry silk chiffon one shoulder Tadashi Shoji gown with floral strap detail.

‘Up In The Air’ Premiere, London Film Festival

I always wondered how this Alberta Ferretti Fall 2009 chartreuse gown with a black beaded embroidered overlay would look on the red carpet.

Natascha McElhone keeps the look very simple, yet I just can’t fall in love with this look as stunning as the detail is.

Rag & Bone Soho Store Opening, New York

Sienna Miller wore a Rag & Bone ensemble including grey shorts, cropped jacket and shoe-boots to the Rag & Bone SoHo store opening.

Even when she dresses down still looks gorgeous.

L’Oreal Paris Recieves Friend Of The Walk Of Fame Award, LA

Actresses Eva Longoria Parker, Andie MacDowell and Kate del Castillo attended this event as the ambassadors of L’Oreal.

Eva wore a two tone grey Nicole Miller Studio One tweed pencil dress with an asymmetrical neckline, whilst Andie was divine in a printed dress.

Kate was equally chic in a black chiffon top and wide-legged white pants.

Samantha Thavasa Special Meet And Greet With Beyonce, Tokyo

After her last trip to Japan back in August Beyonce Knowles returned sans Solange to promote her Samantha Thavasa bags.

The singer wore a Roberto Cavalli ultra mini dress, paired with Rock & Republic Celina heels

Moet & Chandon “Tribute To Cinema”, Japan

Scarlett Johansson maybe wearing a vintage Haute Couture Givenchy gown and Christian Dior heels, but I just can’t raise a smile whilst for this look.

Out & About in Double Bay, Sydney

Miranda Kerr was out shopping wearing an Isabel Marant Fall 2009 ensemble.

She combined a leopard print skirt, a boyfriend blazer and a grey sweater to achieve her off-duty look.

The manly boots are not what I would have worn, as they make her feet look really long.

It’s Y!ou Yahoo! Yodel Competition, New York

LeAnn Rimes is the 6th or 7th celebrity to have worn this Kimberly Ovitz Jacob jersey mini dress, but she’s the only one to have belted the dress.

It’s now the most worn dress on the red carpet, which really surprises me as I much preferred the Kimberly Ovitz Martin jersey cutout dress which was also favoured by AnnaLynne McCord and Olivia Wilde.

Philippe West Hollywood Opening Celebration, LA

Serena Williams wore navy patent heels and sheer shimmering tights with her 3.1 Phillip Lim beaded silk dress.

I don’t hate this look, but I’m sure some might argue her legs are too muscular for this dress but I would disagree.

My biggest problem is the champagne clutch.

Hammerstein Ballroom, New York

Kylie Minogue was greeted by her fans outside New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom were she has been performing.

The petite pop princess might have had a hectic schedule, but she wasn’t showing any signs of fatigue as she look beautiful wearing a YSL Fall 2009 grey jumpsuit, paired with a lace bandeau.

After the show she looked even better wearing a high-neck leather dress, paired with the same YSL Divine boots we’ve seen on Diane Kruger.

Ritz Carlton Hotel, New York

Jessica Simpson was spotted leaving her hotel in New York en route to the “FFANY Shoes On Sale” wearing a black belted coat from Stella McCartney’s Resort 2010 collection.

16th Annual QVC Presents FFANY Shoes On Sale, New York

When Jessica arrived at the event she whipped off her Stella McCartney coat to reveal a black and silver paillette covered Dolce & Gabbana LBD paired with a wrap-around black belt plus Debista 2 Pumps from her own footwear line.

Her hair was swept up into a messy up ‘do, whilst her eyes were sultry and smoky.

National Museum Of The American Latino Commission Press Conference, Washington

Eva Longoria wore a red Diane von Furstenberg sheath dress paired with nude pumps.

I would’ve never considered red and nude together, but it’s a very interesting colour combination.

“Late Show With David Letterman”, New York

Sienna Miller wore Pierre Hardy suede pumps paired a black harem pant jumpsuit with a bejeweled shrug.

I’m not particularly crazy about the top layered part of the jumpsuit, but she looks beautiful as always.

2009 MAD Paperball Gala

Rose McGowan matched her bright red lips with her red structured bow accented top and a black mini skirt.

Her vintage Bill Blass ensemble certainly has the wow factor.

Rihanna was spotted shopping at the Grove in LA with her assistant Melissa Forde back in February wearing a rather cute look.

The singer wore a blue shirt, tan Chloe heels, a cream Twenty8Twelve Wilma skirt, plus an array of ivory accessories completed her look.

I loved Sienna Miller’s chic summery ensemble of a striped sleeveless top, bold red statement necklace, Rupert Sanderson brogues, and her favourite burgundy Prada Saffiano & Tessuto Tote.

I wouldn’t change a thing about this outfit, she is head to toe perfection.

Sienna Miller’s back at the top of her fashion game and her nautical look wins for me – even with brogues it’s the perfect summer outfit.

Sienna Miller was your Best Dressed this week wearing a strapless icy-blue Thakoon mini dress with gold Jimmy Choo heels, after fighting off Ashlee Simpson and beating her by only 1%.

Michelle Monaghan was by far my favourite this week.

I loved her body-sculpting Rachel Roy long sleeved navy dress with bold shoulders, paired with Manolo Blahnik heels.

It’s not easy to wear such a dress, but she oozed confidence and sexy sophistication.

Whilst looking through Sienna Miller pictures I came across these snaps of her in Paris last month whilst promoting “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra”, which I missed the first time around.

I missed it because this trip wasn’t part of their official tour, the cast were visiting the Eiffel Tower during their time off.

Even during her down time Miss Miller still look fabulous – thanks to her team of make-up people on standby – wearing a Erdem Resort 2010 mini dress with her emerald green Chloe heels.

I loved this collection because of the abstracted florals which cover Sienna’s two tone dress. I love this dress on her more than the model.

It’s such a shame this was never a red carpet, or TV show dress. It really deserved a big occasion.

Sienna’s BFF fellow Brit Keira Knightley has also wore a dress from this collection.

US Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour walked the red carpet last night as the host of “The September Issue” New York premiere.

The R.J. Cutler documentary chronicles the making of the fashion bible’s 2007 September edition, which remains its biggest issue to date.

After seeing the Prada Resort 2010 collection, I was intrigued to see which piece – if any – Anna would pick from this collection.

Anna has never been scared of bold prints, so it wasn’t a surprise that she picked this interesting piece which was modified to cover her shoulders.

Beige kitten heels, a dazzling necklace and trademark bob completed the look.

Sienna Miller – the cover star of the September 2007 issue this documentary chronicles – showed off how lengthy her toned legs are wearing a blue sky Thakoon Resort 2010 strapless mini dress.

I love the texture of this dress which is cleverly draped, twisted and gathered to create volume.

A silver Bottega Ventea clutch, large chandelier earrings and gold Jimmy Choo heels complete this look.

J’Adore.

Renee Zellweger’s shortened Carolina Herrera Resort 2010 orange draped brocade dress was the perfect choice to show off her best feature – her legs.

Some of you expressed how you’re a tad bored of the Renee/Herrera collabo, but I really love how each piece is tailor-made or modified to suit Renee’s style.

If it was the same silhouette or same colour I would be bored too, but the two of them give us something new every time.

Sexy strappy heels and her trademark pout complete the look.

I will forever love Carey Mulligan for wearing my favourite dress from the Thakoon Resort 2010 collection.

I adore this colourful dress, which drapes better on the runway.  It’s like opening a packet of Starburst.

Actress Zoe Kazan combined two pieces from the Jason Wu Resort 2010 collection to create her own casual look.

I don’t like the uninspired heavy black heels with this summery look.  The runway heels to the left would have been a better choice.

You may remember Emma Watson wore this same Jason Wu Resort look when traveling between shows whilst promoting “Harry Potter”.

Shortening seems to be the new black, as Hilary Rhoda like Renee, shorten her Rachel Roy Resort 2009 dress.

Her floral dress was pair with Manolo Blahhnik white and black stitched heels.

Designers Oscar de la Renta and Carolina Herrera arrived together.

He wore a beige suit, whilst she looked radiant wearing an orange and white floral skirt from her Resort 2010 collection, with a crisp white shirt which is very much her trademark look.

Designer Tory Burch decided against wearing a piece from her own collection opting for this gorgeous purple Narciso Rodriguez silk dress from the 2009 Pre-Fall collection.

The cap sleeve dress has a wide self-tie belt that wraps around dress, which can create Rodriguez’ signature criss cross detail.

I love the dress and the strappy heels, but I really dislike her pink feathery bag.  What a way to ruin a look.

Designer Cynthia Rowley opted for a vibrant blue shortened dress from her Fall 2009 collection.

She looked stunning wearing her dress with a blue and black embroidered belt, and Elizabeth & James elastic wedge sandals.

Georgina Chapman opted for a silver long sleeved tunic dress with sprinkles of gold embellishments, which shimmered as she walked the red carpet.

Her dress had a matching silver roped tied the waist.  Her look was complete with grey Christian Louboutin kitten heels and a matching clutch.

Vera Wang opted for a simple grey tank which she punched up with a trademark bejeweled necklace.

I particularly love her Resort 2010 asymmetrical layered skirt, which she wore with Prada Spring 2009 snake-skin heels.

Alexa Chung dress has the floaty ethereal feel of the Calvin Klein Resort 2010 collection, which I’ll guess is actually a vintage dress.

It appears Alexa still hasn’t washed her hair from the last time she stepped onto the red carpet for the “Inglourious Basterds” New York Screening earlier this week.

TRESemme and some lukewarm water. Don’t be afraid to introduce them to your hair Miss Chung.

Bee Shaffer’s lilac belted dress is divine, both in colour and style.

It shows off her legs and accentuates her curvy figure.

Designer Donna Karan and singer Cassie arrived wearing similar plunging black jumpsuits.

Donna opted for gladiator flats with her look, whilst Cassie wore platform boots.

“The September Issue” hits theaters in New York on August 28, and select cities on September 11.
