Who Wore Ralph Lauren Better? Melanie Thierry or Sienna Miller

Back in April, French actress Melanie Thierry attended a private dinner in Paris to celebrate the opening of ‘The Art of the Automobile: Masterpieces of the Ralph Lauren Collection.’

She opted to wear a Ralph Lauren Spring 2011 cream crochet dress which has a high neckline, plus crochet and lace panels handcrafted in linen and cashmere.

Melanie paired the summery dress with nude YSL ‘Tribute’ heels and a brown leather Ralph Lauren bag. She styled her hair in a casual bun and wore pink lipgloss.

Sienna Miller wore the same dress to attend Ralph Lauren’s Wimbledon party last month.

The actress paired the dress with patent leather black boots and a black bag with an extra long strap. She wore her hair in a disheveled ponytail and added some bright pink lipstick to her look.

My vote is going to Melanie on this one as I think she played up the romantic vibe of the dress perfectly with her neutral-coloured accessories and pretty makeup.

The black shoes and bag feel too harsh for this kind of look on Sienna, plus her hairdo is definitely the wrong style for such a delicate dress.

Sidewalk Style: Sienna Miller’s Tucker Dress

Sienna Miller and her new beau Tom Sturridge were spotted out on a beer run in Chicago yesterday.

Her street style is always interesting to watch.

On this occasion the British actress wore an affordable Tucker mini dress.

The wide-neck print silk dress with short dolman sleeves was paired with Oliver Peoples Gregory Peck rose tinted sunglasses, black patent ballerina flats and a blue suede Gucci shoulder bag.

This is a lovely combination of affordable and high end pieces.

Sienna Miller In Ralph Lauren – Ralph Lauren Wimbledon Party

Ralph Lauren are the outfitters for the 2011 Wimbledon Championship, so they celebrated with a party at the Ralph Lauren store on Brompton Road in London tonight.

Sienna Miller attended wearing a Ralph Lauren Spring 2011 look.

Her lace ivory dress was tragically accessorized with black boots and a black shoulder bag.

I also have issues with her straggly hair.

Why wear something so delicate and beautiful, if your plan is to make it look so grungy and unappealing?

What a waste of a perfectly good dress.

Sidewalk Style: Sienna Miller In Azzedine Alaia & Tabitha Simmons

Sienna Miller was spotted leaving Theatre Royal Haymarket last night following her Flare Path performance.

She’s usually spotted leaving wearing jeans and a causal top, but on this occasion the British actress opted for a sexy Azzedine Alaia LBD.

Her Alaia drop-waist dress with flounce hem was teamed with summery Tabitha Simmons ‘Dusty’ sandal booties from the Spring 2011 collection.

The cream, navy and red silk linen open-toe pumps have a closed back and a thin buckle strap over foot.

The rest of the collection of formal and casual shoes has a similar striped theme with some colour-blocking and a variety of textures from leather to canvas.

British Celebrities Love…Miu Miu Ostrich Leather Hobo Bag

British style leaders Keira Knightley and Sienna Miller may differ in their personal style choices, but it seems the two may have similar tastes when it comes to bags.

Both actresses were spotted this week carrying the same Miu Miu Spring 2011 Ostrich leather hobo bag in different color ways.

Keira posed for cameras with her version on Monday evening outside of The Comedy Theater leaving her latest performance in “The Children’s Hour’, while Sienna carried hers during a casual night out at London’s Theatre Royal Hallymark.

The bag features an ostrich leather flap, top handle which adds a lady-like appeal and a long detachable shoulder strap for a hands-free and crossbody coolness.

I haven’t spotted the ostrich leather versions online yet, but Net-A-Porter US and Net-A-Porter International have this camel, tan and chocolate leather version.

Sienna Miller in Stella McCartney – UNESCO Charity Gala

This weekend Sienna Miller attended the UNESCO Charity Gala in Dusseldorf, Germany, where she was honoured with the ‘Commitment To Charity’ Award for her work with International Medical Corps in the Democratic Republic of The Congo and Haiti.

She wore a dusty pink Stella McCartney Pre-Fall 2010 lace and silk gown.

This may shock a lot of you, but I prefer the gown in black as the pink washes out Sienna despite adding a darker lip shade to prevent this.

I do however appreciate the vintage elegance of the pink version.

Sienna added a diamond statement necklace and wore her hair in a bun to complete her look.
