Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Selena Gomez went for va-va-voom for the ‘Spring Breakers’ photocall during the Toronto Film Festival yesterday afternoon.

The actress chose a form-fitting Dolce & Gabbana dress for the occasion.

Like her co-star Vanessa Hudgens, Selena has gone for a very grown up look here. And as much as I’d like to fault her on it, I can’t.

The leopard print could’ve been considered tacky if the dress had ended above her knee. The bust may also be a little revealing, but the emphasis is taken away by her free flowing hair.

The Jimmy Choo Lance sandals and light bronze make up are a winning addition.

Selena Gomez glided down the red carpet for the ‘Spring Breakers’ Venice Film Festival, held at the Palazzo del Cinema on Wednesday evening in Italy.

The actress looked gorgeous wearing an Atelier Versace Fall 2011 gown.

My first thought was that this gown was too grown up for her, but on reflection I was looking at her as a Disney princess and not the beautiful young woman she is.

Her blush-toned strapless gown with leather bustier top and structured skirt – which gathered at the right side – enriched with intricate leather floral detailing throughout is breathtaking.

I’m sure you had this on your wish lists for the likes of Penelope Cruz, Olga Kurylenko, Eva Mendes or Bernice Marlohe, but Selena makes it work.

Lorraine Schwartz, a silver sparkling Judith Leiber clutch and nude satin Sergio Rossi ‘Song’ embellished platform sandals accessorized her look with a wavy side-swept hairstyle and a glossy nude lip colour perfecting her look.

I love her photocall look and premiere look in equal amounts, meaning that her hit-and-miss ratio is no longer equal.

On Wednesday afternoon Selena Gomez took to the red carpet at the Palazzo del Casino for the Venice Film Festival photocall for her latest movie, ‘Spring Breakers’.

The young starlet looked grown up without looking too mature wearing a Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2012 frock.

Her super chic black lace dress with gold embroidered details was styled with Jimmy Choo ‘Lance’ strappy sandals and gold Melinda Maria cluster earrings.

A loose updo and flawless makeup concluded her look.

Selena tends to be hit-or-miss on the red carpet. This is most definitely a hit.

Selena Gomez and her boyfriend Justin Bieber went to see their pal Bo Burnham’s comedy show on Saturday at Largo at the Coronet in West Hollywood.

Selena opted to go glam for the occasion wearing a Free People Pennies From Heaven maxi dress.

Her patterned chiffon dress with a deep V-neckline has a sparkling embroidered waistband and a scalloped lace trimming around the neckline.

The singer styled her look with fringed Zara wedge booties. She also carried a comfy warm jacket, also from Free People.

Glossy locks and simple make-up completed Selena’s look.

Do you like this look, or is it too dressy for a comedy show?

You can buy Selena’s Free People maxi dress from Free People CA and Free People UK.

With her new movie ‘Hotel Transylvania’ set to hit theatres on September 21, Selena Gomez graces the cover of Teen Vogue’s September issue.

Boo George captures the 20-year-old actress striking a pose wearing an American Eagle Outfitters shirt with a Jill Stuart bralet and a Gucci necklace for the cover.

The rest of her editorial sees the young star wearing a mixture of easy separates including a chunky-knit Tse sweater, Citizens of Humanity shorts, an A.P.C. cardigan and a MICHAEL Michael Kors sweater.

She dishes to the mag about her relationship with Justin Bieber, movies, music and her style.

Head over to Teen Vogue for more or read the extracts below.

On moving away from teen roles: “Monte Carlo was a good step for me at the time, but I would never want to do something like that again.”

On her acting goals: “Being part of the Disney Channel was such a blessing, and I’m super happy with what my show accomplished, but acting is something I would like to take on more seriously. I don’t necessarily feel accomplished. I want to create a whole different persona when it comes to acting.”

On her next album: “It’s going to be different — a little older but still really fun.”

On her dream music collaboration: “Who I would die to work with, but I don’t think he ever would—I don’t even think he’s doing music anymore—is Justin Timberlake. Just ’cause I love his music sooo much.”

On her personal style: “I’ve never been comfortable with saying, ‘Here’s a top that I’m going to sell for $350, and it’s just a T-shirt.’ I get sent things that are really nice, and I’m like, ‘This is cute,’ and I look at the tag and it’s $200. I’m like, Oh my gosh, people probably think I buy it, and I don’t. It’s really weird.”

On her relationship: “It’s really fun. I’m lucky. I’m 20. I don’t take anything in my personal life too seriously. I have great friends and a solid group of people I love. I feel like everything else will come organically.”

We all couldn’t help but notice Selena Gomez stun in her hot-pink fit-n-flare Dsquared² Resort 2013 dress at the 2012 Teen Choice Awards in Universal City, California on Sunday.

However, this wasn’t the first time this flirty little frock made its debut.

Anna Dello Russo was actually the one who spotted the feminine frock first and chose to wear it during Milan Menswear Fashion Week at the Dsquared² fashion show.

Anna paired this scooped neckline and flared skirt design with pink strappy YSL sandals and Olympia Le Tan’s book clutch.

The editor chose Oliver Goldsmith sunglasses to complete her look for a much more dressed-down, casual look than the pop diva.

Selena pulls off this hot-pink mini to a tee, accessorizing with Lana jewelry, star-burst earrings, and cream Herve Leger by Max Azria sandals for a more glamorous appeal on the pink carpet.

While the two both look pretty in pink, I can’t help but think this fit-n-flare number fits the young singer’s style better, plus I prefer her choice of accessories for a glitzier, glammed-up vibe.
