2017 Billboard Music Awards Red Carpet Roundup

There were more looks that took to the red carpet at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards on Sunday (May 21) in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Nicole Scherzinger: With an overt display of cleavage and ruffles, this Maria Lucia Hohan skin-tone gown was a bit of a dated eyeful.

Lorde: This red Givenchy design was a striking way to wear sheer without flashing the panties. Giuseppe Zanotti shoes completed the look.

Lea Michele: Despite its see-through mentality, this David Koma perforated dress conveyed chic, modern elegance on Lea, especially when styled with a twisted top knot and Cesare Paciotti shoes.

Chopard, Vanity Fair and HBO Cannes Parties

A Vanity Fair and HBO dinner party was held on Saturday (May 20) as part of the 2017 Cannes Film Festival, with a group of glamorous gals in attendance.

Julianne Moore: While the actress did stick to a darker colour palette, she brought a dose of whimsical fun in this Chanel Resort 2017 embellished gown with multi-hued, feathered pouf sleeves. Exchanging the pink sash for a black one along with a sleek bun and Chopard jewels ensured plenty of her signature modern elegance was brought to the table.

‘Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop: A Bad Boy Story’ London Screening

A dynamic trio of trend-forward stars were at the screening of ‘Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop: A Bad Boy Story’ in London on Tuesday (May 16).

Salma Hayek: Salma prettified this Gucci Resort 2017 ensemble by wearing the strong, plaid skirt with a feminine ruffle blouse and sculpted heels, although the leather jacket did contribute a tougher edge. It was a solid effort for Salma; I was just slightly bothered by the fit of the skirt around the hips, as I would have preferred a more streamlined finish.

Lupita Nyong’o: I was delighted to see Lupita back on the red carpet in this statement-making Fendi Spring 2017 ensemble that brought in her love of bold hues with the red turtleneck sweater. It takes a certain talent to pull off the directional edge of the crop top and those cropped parachute pants, and she definitely fit the bill. Plus, her styling and her beauty look were on point from top to toe.

Naomi Campbell: The supermodel was not ready to bid adieu to sheer yet, as she wore it in a lace top with this decorative, sexy spin on suiting from the Alexander McQueen Spring 2017 collection. Her sleek bob helped increase the chic factor of the look.

Salma Hayek In Gucci – Art Biennale Cini Party

Francois Henri Pinault accompanied his wife Salma Hayek to the Cini party during the 57th International Art Biennale on Thursday (May 10) in Venice, Italy.

I haven’t been a huge fan of Salma’s Gucci looks since Alessandro Michele took over the creative director role – mostly because his quirky designs have often turned out mumsy on the Latin beauty – but I was pleasantly surprised (and shocked) by how much I love this look.

For once she is wearing the look and not the other way around, the A-line silhouette is flattering, I adore the colour and pattern plus the oversized detailing adds a fun element.

Am I alone in expressing my love for this look?

Salma Hayek In Gucci – ‘Como Ser Un Latin Lover’ Mexico City Premiere

Salma Hayek was at the Mexico City premiere of ‘Como Ser Un Latin Lover’ on Wednesday (May 3).

I was immediately drawn to the bright, vivid array of colours in her Gucci Fall 2017 floral-print dress that reminded me how well she wears bold, beautiful hues.

Her accessories likewise reflected the explosion of the colour wheel, as she styled the look with dynamic turquoise earrings, a purple handbag, and tangerine platforms that were nothing if not in theme with the palette.

It was delightful to see Salma having such fun with this radiant ensemble.

Salma Hayek In Balenciaga – 2017 Met Gala

Salma Hayek hit a rare fashion homerun at the 2017 Met Gala on Monday (May 1) in New York City.

As you know I find Salma’s style very frustrating, yet when her body is fully celebrated like in this sultry Balenciaga number, I’m a happy camper.

The hip high Balenciaga boots gives the look an edge and takes this into a new territory of cool we’ve never seen from her before.

I hope she stays on track and ditches the Gucci looks which; hard as she tries, don’t work for her.
