Rooney Mara In Valentino – ‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’ Rome Premiere

Rooney Mara was in Italy on Monday night for the Rome premiere for her latest movie, ‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’.

For the first time on the film’s extensive press tour, Rooney attended the event in something brightly-coloured; a gorgeous red Valentino Spring 2012 gown.

Rooney’s gown had shorter sleeves than the runway version, and opted not to wear the thin red belt and long gold chains.

While I prefer the sleeves and belt seen on the runway, I can overlook these small details for what feels like a major triumph.

This scarlet hue looks perfectly dramatic against Rooney’s fair skin and dark hair.

Rooney Mara In Dion Lee – ‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’ Rome Photocall

Earlier today Rooney Mara attended a photocall for ‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’ in Rome, Italy.

She continued her dark minimalist style by donning a Dion Lee Fall 2012 dress.

The leather sleeveless dress with cut-out details at the waist and an A-line skirt features two of her signatures; black and cut-out details.

Her look was teamed with grey suede Pierre Hardy suede platform peep-toes.

Blunt bangs were adorned with a black headband which is also becoming a signature piece to her red carpet look.

Minimal make-up provided the finishing touch.

Maybe Rooney Mara Will Usher In A ‘Dark Minimalist’ Red Carpet Revolution?

If her glam squad’s intention is to shock and awe—they’re succeeding. In a good way of course, as Rooney Mara is quickly becoming a breath of fresh beauty air.

Mara exudes this sophisticated, edgy, seriously chic energy brought forth through her amazing red carpet style, complemented by her bare-bones approach to beauty.

Dare we say it—we even fancy the fringe! Yes, it’s harsh, but it happens to be the pièce de résistance that contributes to her successfully standing out in the crowd.

Isn’t it great to see someone not try to be something they’re not?

Everyone can’t be blonde, bubbly, and tanned to perfection; The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo actress takes the road less traveled with her look—and we wish a few more starlets would follow suit.

Rooney Mara In Michael Kors – ‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’

I guess Rooney Mara wasn’t in the people pleasing mood as she donned yet another all-black look for ‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’ Berlin premiere this evening.

On this occasion she wore a Michael Kors Pre-Fall 2012 gown which was recently presented.

Her black gown with a rise and fall hemline and a cut-out leather detail was paired with black patent Nicholas Kirkwood peep-toes.

Despite fact that I’m dying for her to wear something other than black, I have to once again give her credit for making this minimalist look work for her.

She’s so mysterious that she leaves me wanting more.

Once again her hair, with a simple black headband, and makeup are flawless, but I think her stylist needs to give her just a pop of colour.

A Swarovski emerald embellished clutch would’ve been my choice.

Rooney Mara In Miu Miu – ‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’ Berlin Photocall

Berlin, Germany was the next stop on the promo tour for ‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’.

Rooney Mara attended a photocall earlier today with co-star Daniel Craig and director David Fincher.

She wore a Miu Miu Spring 2012 two-piece which included a grey cropped top and a black flared skirt which she teamed with Miu Miu black strappy sandals.

My immediate reaction was to dislike this, but on second glance the sporty apparel is perfect for her as she clearly has the body to pull it off.

The look is very clean and fresh with neutral makeup and no accessories.

I’m hoping for some colour on the red carpet for the premiere. I think she’s well overdue a look that doesn’t have black in the colour palette.

I know many of you aren’t fans of exposed midriffs on the red carpet, so how do you feel about this look?

Rooney Mara In Rodarte – ‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’ Madrid Premiere

Rooney Mara took to the red carpet for the second time in a row to promote her latest movie, ‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’.

For the Madrid premiere she wore a beautiful Rodarte Fall 2011 gown.

I’m glad we finally get to see this off-white and black dotted silk chiffon halter gown sans coat.

Many of you will be glad that the actress opted not to wear black on this occasion.

Rooney looked very regal and surprisingly statuesque for someone so petite.

I love the lacquered locks which she has tried once before and the neutral makeup.

The actress continues to mix things up which is why I she’s still my one to watch during awards season.

Is it me or does she look like Erin O’Connor here?
