Red Carpet Fashion Awards

After a wild week on her ‘777’ tour, where she mostly wore menswear, Rihanna switched back to opting for a more feminine look for the launch of her latest fragrance, ‘Nude’, held at Macy’s in Westfield Century City in California on Saturday afternoon.

The singer selected an ivory-and-white Nini Nguyen dress.

Her dress features a bustier top with a part-crepe, part-lace skirt worn over hot pants.

This is most definitely a look very few could pull off, so thankfully it was picked up by Rihanna.

A gold vintage Christian Lacroix choker and black Tom Ford python pumps accessorized her look.

I love the soft wavy tresses and neutral makeup. While we all know Rihanna is a bad ass chick, it’s great to see her softer side on this occasion.

After her seven days and seven cities ‘777’ tour, Rihanna launched her new album ‘Unapologetic’ at Best Buy in New York City yesterday evening.

The singer wore a Damir Doma Spring 2013 leather outfit which, despite being womenswear, has a very masculine feel to it.

Her top and baggy pants were styled with a chunky gold Chanel necklace, Manolo Blahnik heels and a leather Skingraft hat.

Red lips and long luscious lashes completed her look.

For me, Rihanna is on a roll: these menswear-inspired looks are really working for her. I guess when you have so many people biting your style, you have to switch gears and do something new.

Rihanna was on hand to switch on the Westfield Stratford City Christmas lights in London today, ahead of her ‘777’ concert in the capital this evening.

The singer may have been inspired by my menswear posts from last week because she wore an Acne blue-and-grey striped sleeveless top with matching pants, both from the Spring 2013 menswear collection, with a crisp white shirt.

To keep her warm, and to up the ante style-wise, she donned a Raf Simons Fall 2012 electric-blue double-breasted coat.

I adore this look from head to toe. This is more like the Rihanna I know and love: creative, inspiring, pushing the envelope and leaving her copy-cats in her wake.

Feminine touches came via her red lippie, rockabilly hairstyle, red talons and grey suede pumps.

I’m so going to try to recreate this look in some way, shape or form.

Rihanna kick-started the promotion of her new album ‘Unapologetic’ and her world tour ‘777’, on The Ellen DeGeneres Show this week.

Ellen was more interested in who Rihanna was dating. When asked if she was dating anyone, Rihanna’s answer was simple: “No”.

The singer wore a vibrant Versus Spring 2013 dress, our first look at this collection off the runway.

I love this vibrant pink sleeveless A-line dress, which featured mesh panels at the waist and in the skirt, as I enjoy Rihanna’s more playful approach to fashion. The risqué stuff gets boring really quickly.

Sporting her current favoured slicked-back do, the singer opted for barely-there makeup, save for a nude glossy lip colour, and silver hoop earrings.

It was Rihanna’s turn to be the lady in red when she took to the red carpet for the 2012 GQ Men of the Year party – held at the Chateau Marmont in LA yesterday evening – as one of the current cover stars for the December 2012 issue.

She wore a simple Calvin Klein spaghetti-strap mini dress for the occasion, which she styled with red Manolo Blahnik strappy sandals and silver Neil Lane jewels including hooped earrings and a diamond necklace.

Keeping the red theme going, she completed her look with a red pout.

Simple, yet sexy. This just proves that Rihanna doesn’t really need to try so hard.

Rihanna was spotted leaving her hotel in New York City on Friday evening prior to her stint on SNL.

The singer wore a black top, black jeans and a Proenza Schouler Fall 2012 jacket.

Her eye-catching quilted jacket with copper and burnt orange panels with black silk trim features dynasty-inspired embroidery.

Timberland boots and a Chanel quilted shoulder bag accessorized her ‘around the way girl’ look.
