Pixie Lott In Yuvna Kim - 2013 Pride of Britain Awards

Pixie Lott went for a different approach while attending the Pride of Britain Awards held at Grosvenor House in London yesterday evening.

While others opted for sexy dresses with thigh-high slits, Pixie wore this Yuvna Kim Spring 2014 romantic strapless frock with floral appliqués and a sheer tulle skirt featuring delicate embellishments.

This may be a tad too frou-frou for most, but I did really like this whimsical look until I took a close look at her styling.

The embellished headband takes the look into fairytale-princess costume territory.

Who Wore Christian Dior Better Sun Li or Pixie Lott

Sun Li attended the Dior photography exhibition back in March wearing a look from the brand’s Spring 2013 collection, which has gone on to be the Spring collection most loved by celebrities.

The Asian actress’s dress, which features a white sleeveless top with sleek lapels with a pink organza mini skirt, was simply styled with white Dior pumps.

Pixie Lott wore the same dress last month to the GQ Awards, sadly without the same finesse as Sun Li, opting to make this a cleavage-baring frock.

The British singer’s heavy makeup and aging hairdo were a further two strikes against her.

Topshop Unique

A long line of trendsters turned out for the Topshop Unique Spring 2014 runway, hosted at the Topshop Show Space in London on Sunday, where the FROW head-turners had on their hautest high-low looks.

Kate Moss: The supermodel struck an effortless yet cool-girl note in grey-and-black, leopard-print trousers, paired with a black jacket and heather-grey sweater. Oversized sunglasses, black booties and a blue-ceder Kate Moss for Longchamp clutch popped more attitude into this look.

Ashley Madekwe: Rocking a fire-engine shade of red, the ‘Revenge’ actress continued to make the show rounds in a cozy Topshop Unique beige jacket (which actually photographed more like mint green) and matching Boutique fuzzy jumper thrown over those bold-hued Unique trousers. Minimal makeup and a scraped-back ’do finished off the fiery look.

Ellie Goulding: The British songstress took a tougher approach with a black leather blazer and black crop top, which seemed a bit too intense for her Topshop Boutique baby-blue skirt. Her criss-cross, black-patent Unique shoes brought a heavy edge back.

Pixie Lott In Marc Jacobs - Queen AIDS Benefit In Support Of The Mercury Phoenix Trust

Pixie Lott attended the Queen Aids Benefit in support of The Mercury Phoenix Trust at One Mayfair in London yesterday evening.

Marc Jacobs’ Spring 2013 lineup sent classic black-and-white stripes into high-fashion territory and kick-started the black-and-white trend that then dominated the red carpet this summer and quickly took over the high street.

Pixie’s 60s mini dress – yes, this is supposed to be a dress – with scalloped edges was styled with black shorts and black accessories to complement her look.

Opting for heavy kohl-rimmed eyes, she completed her look with a single braid in her tousled tresses.

Pixie Lott In Motel - Brits Icon' Awards

Pixie Lott attended the first annual ‘Brits Icon’ awards held at the London Palladium in London on Monday evening.

The singer wore a pale-blue sleeveless Chanel bodysuit with a Motel ‘Annie A’ mini skirt with a striking mandala print, which she styled with a complementary blue Dolce & Gabbana bucket bag and silver Prada platform pumps.

This uber-cute look is more like the Pixie I know and love. Her Dior GQ Awards look must have been a rare night off. We can’t always be perfect 24-7.
