Marion Cotillard In Christian Dior Couture – 2013 BAFTA Awards

Engaging in somewhat of a red-carpet sprint, a visibly chilled Marion Cotillard battled the elements as she quickly posed amid umbrellas and photographers’ flashes at the 2013 BAFTA Awards on Sunday at the Royal Opera House in London.

After wearing a black-and-white cocktail dress from the Christian Dior Pre-Fall 2013 collection at the BAFTA nominees party, she played the Dior card yet again—except in far more dramatic fashion.

Wearing a confection from designer Raf Simons’ Spring 2013 Couture runway, the ‘Rust and Bone’ Leading Actress nominee made a true fashion-girl move; she even eschewed a shrug or overcoat to better show off the sunny yellow gown that could have cleared overcast skies with its radiant colour.

The billowing drape of the dress and the peek of skin from the sheer side panel brought the look into style-forward territory and made it a bit of a red-carpet risk.

The addition of a diamond necklace and Marion’s retro waves and red lip delivered a touch of old Hollywood glam. But I keep wondering if this look may have fared even better without the necklace.

You may recall that Jennifer Lawrence wore a navy gown from this collection at the 2013 SAG Awards.

Marion Cotillard In Christian Dior – BAFTA Nominees Party

Marion Cotillard maintained her sartorial allegiance to Christian Dior at the EE British Academy Film Awards nominees party held at Asprey London.

For this occasion, the ‘Rust & Bone’ actress chose a black and white houndstooth print dress with an A-line silhouette from the Dior Pre-Fall 2013 collection.

The contrasting graphic prints cropped waist-defining layered bodice and full skirt set Cotilard’s look apart at the party.

Paired with bold fiery red pointy slingback Dior pumps and a Dior matching statement necklace, this chic dress packed the right dose of uptown and downtown flair to make a sensational mark.

A tamed slicked back hairstyle kept the focus on her modern look and rosy makeup.

Marion Cotillard In Christian Dior – 2013 SAG Awards

Marion Cotillard may have been under the weather at the 2013 SAG Awards this evening at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California. But you would never know, as she seemed to be glowing.

The French actress and nominee for her leading role in ‘Rust and Bone’ is a brand ambassador for Christian Dior, so it’s no surprise she selected a look from the designer’s Pre-Fall 2013 collection.

But this Dior moment was severely altered from the runway rendition, which I’m afraid I preferred.

Marion’s nautically colored twist on the ball gown was a bit underwhelming. The flash of the white strapless bodice, which was contrasted with a limp, midnight-blue interpretation of the satin skirt and tied sash, just didn’t work.

It was all missing some of the runway panache; I fell in love with the gorgeous coral hoop skirt, beautifully ballooned out, and the structured cap-sleeve top.

I can appreciate the gown’s pockets which had Marion, with her new chicly sleek bob, posing like a pro. A simple strand of Chopard jewels and a nondescript black pump finished the look.

Marion Cotillard In Erdem – Conan

Marion Cotillard made a guest appearance on Conan this week, where the French beauty shared that she has a serious obsession with Will Ferrell (who doesn’t?) and American comedies.

Aside from her obligatory duties to Christian Dior at the 2013 Golden Globes, Marion has been seeking out other designers for her red carpet and TV appearances much to our delight.

On the show she wore an Erdem Pre-Fall 2013 look.

If you were following the site over the weekend, you will know that this is Marion’s second look from this collection.

On this occasion she selected sequin plaid yellow-and-black frock with colourful floral appliqués which she teamed with ruby red pumps.

Best Actress nominee Marion Cotillard also brought a twist on red-carpet-red to the 2013 Golden Globe Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.

Like Jennifer Lawrence, the ‘Rust and Bone’ star wore Christian Dior Couture. But her asymmetrical, blood-orange dress, clipped up to her knee on one side, was a far more casual entrance.

Her pointy stiletto may have been a bit too matchy-matchy, though.

With simple, straight hair and barely there makeup, the French actress might have benefited from a bit more sizzle.

Marion Cotillard In Erdem – BAFTA Los Angeles 2013 Awards Season Tea Party

Marion Cotillard attended BAFTA’s Los Angeles 2013 Awards Season Tea Party, held at the Four Seasons Hotel in California last night.

After not setting our world on fire yesterday at the W Magazine event, she fared much better in Erdem.

Her Pre-Fall 2013 gown with a lavish floral print combined delicate texture with vivacious colours to create a jaw-dropping creation.

Marion kept her hair and makeup simple, opting for a high bun and glossy lips.

Thanks to Sarah Jessica Parker, I usually hate cross-body bags on the red carpet, but Marion’s Christian Louboutin ‘Sweet Charity’ satin and lace bag complements the relaxed luxe vibe she has going on here.
