Keira Knightley In Chanel Couture – SeriousFun London Gala 2013

Keira Knightley In Chanel Couture - SeriousFun London Gala 2013

Keira Knightley made a welcome return to the red carpet yesterday evening for the SeriousFun London Gala 2013 held at The Roundhouse in London.

The British actress looked pretty wearing one of her favourite brands, Chanel, selecting a dress from their Spring 2006 Couture collection featuring sheer sleeves with embroidered details which she style with gold Jimmy Choo ‘India’ sandals.

If you’re having a case of déjà vu, that’s because it’s the same dress she wore at the 2008 BAFTA party and at her wedding, which took place in the south of France on May 4 of this year.

I like the fact that on this occasion the dress was modified to give it a new twist and differentiate the look.

Would you ever recycle your wedding dress for an evening out?

Keira Knightley In Mary Katrantzou – ‘Can A Song Save Your Life?’ Toronto Film Festival Premiere

Keira Knightley In Mary Katrantzou - 'Can A Song Save Your Life' Toronto Film Festival Premiere

Keira Knightley took to the red carpet at the Princess of Wales Theatre in Toronto, Canada yesterday evening for the Toronto Film Festival premiere of ‘Can A Song Save Your Life?’

She was the one I was looking out for at this festival and she didn’t disappoint, turning to maestro of prints Mary Katrantzou who created this enchanting bucolic landscapes and painterly murals print strapless calf-length strapless dress, with a fully-boned bodice and voluminous pleated skirt.

I was expecting another Valentino Couture gown, but this chic frock doesn’t disappoint. I’m glad she went left, when I was expecting her to go right.

Keeping her accessories to a minimum to let this head-turner speak for itself, she styled her frock with nude Christian Louboutin ankle strap suede pumps, smoky eyes and a tousled updo.

Keira Knightley In Valentino Couture – Valentino Ball

Keira Knightley In Valentino Couture - Valentino Ball

Keira Knightley and her husband James Righton (in Valentino) attended the Valentino Ball held at Palazzo Volpi during the 2013 Venice Film Festival on Wednesday evening.

The British actress of course wore a look from the latest Valentino Fall 2013 Couture collection, selecting a sheer long-sleeved gown with gold-leaf embroidery and a layered neckline.

Some may have opted for more coverage, wearing a bodysuit or layering the look from top to bottom, but Keira wore the dreamy autumnal piece as presented with a bralet and hot pants.

Taking some inspiration from the runway, she styled her hair into a centre-parted ‘do with a few face-framing tendrils opting out of the single braid.

Keira will be premiering her latest movie, ‘Can A Song Save Your Life?’, during Toronto Film Festival tomorrow so the question is can she outdo herself?

Keira Knightley For Marie Claire UK May 2013

Keira-Knightley-1

Keira Knightley graces the cover of Marie Claire UK‘s May 2013 issue looking radiant wearing a red Valentino gown shot by Nathaniel Goldberg.

The rest of the editorial sees her wearing Tom Ford, Gucci, Balenciaga and of course her favourites Chanel and Valentino.

In her interview, Keira talks about getting engaged to Klaxons keyboard player James Righton, the definition of success and coping with fame.

The May 2013 issue is out now.

Here are some extracts from her interview.

On how she defines success: “I’m not sure if I can define success. I think if I get to the end of my life having hurt as few people as possible, making sure the people who mean the most to me know they have been loved, I will be happy. Success in work, whatever work, will come and go.”

On coping with fame in Hollywood: The machine that allows you to make movies, the trade-off [requires] you to sell it. Selling it means making yourself a public figure. You can’t cultivate the mystery. My problem is I like mystery

On her upcoming wedding to James Righton: “I could have six weddings. God, that would be expensive. We’ve not big-wedding types. I don’t need to have all that. I’m just trying to enjoy the engagement bit. My parents are together after 40 years. The fights are there, but they love each other. It’s not like the first three months, the frost two years, whatever it is, but I think it gets more interesting, or I hope so.”

Who Wore Valentino Better…Keira Knightley or Yao Chen?

Who Wore Valentino Better Keira Knightley or Yao Chen

Keira Knightley looked stunning wearing a Valentino Fall 2012 gown to the ‘Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World’ LA Film Festival premiere back in June last year.

The British actress never lets us down when it comes to red carpet dressing, and we were totally in awe of how she made the red Chanel floral metal headband work without it feeling too costumey.

Yao Chen’s motto was “anything Keira can do, I can do better”.

Sadly this wasn’t the case for me. Her red shoulder bag, while complementing the look colour-wise, still felt very out of place for such a delicate gown. I also felt the gown had lost much of its allure the second time around.

It was like someone trying to cover a Michael Jackson song: a feat like this can only be achieved to perfection once.

Keira wins by a country mile.

Keira Knightley In Carven – ‘Live with Kelly and Michael’

Keira Knightley made a guest appearance on ‘Live with Kelly and Michael’ to promote her latest movie, ‘Anna Karenina’.

On the show, which aired on Friday in the US, she wore a Carven Spring 2013 dress.

Her panama basket-weave dress, with cap sleeves, cut-out lace detail at the bust, and a panel-seamed full skirt, was styled with a pair of rich burgundy Marni ankle-strap sandals with black piping.

A black manicure and wavy tresses completed her look.

Ladylike and effortless as always.
