Keira Knightley In Valentino Couture – ‘Anna Karenina’ New York Premiere

Keira Knightley was in New York City last night taking to the red carpet for the ‘Anna Karenina’ premiere held at the Florence Gould Hall.

She opted to wear a Valentino Fall 2012 Couture gown for the occasion.

The navy long-sleeve lace gown has been considerably lined from the free-flowing version which took to the runway, with the actress opting not to wear the look with the cape.

Keira’s styling was very familiar, opting for a side-parted tight bun, Chanel earrings and a striking red lip colour.

Keira Knightley For Flare December 2012

Keira Knightley covers Flare magazine wearing a winter white dress for their December cover which is their biggest issue of 2012.

The British actress talks about true love, her latest movie and never being caught with her guard down.

On the suggestion that she’s perfectly masterminded her career: “I love that that’s what it looks like, that’s f*cking excellent.”

On love—and her upcoming film, Anna Karenina: “Tom Stoppard [who wrote the screenplay] said at the beginning [that] this is a thesis on love, and I said ‘Ummm. Er. Okay.’ And I think he’s quite right. Not just the sparkly bit that we’re sold, the fun, the hopefully great sex, but it’s also looking at the loneliness, the pain, the jealous madness that is all a part of that.”

On playing Anna: “There are aspects of her that I don’t like. Then you go: Am I any better? I am duplicitous and manipulative and all those things. Hopefully that doesn’t define me, but they are parts of my personality.”

On growing up in the public eye: “When I was very young, I was hounded by these hideous men. What they wanted was the picture of me falling out of the club. They weren’t going to get that out of me. No, I chose very, very deliberately not to, because I couldn’t bear the idea of giving in to them. It takes a stubbornness.”

Keira Knightley, Mia Wasikowska, Rooney Mara & Scarlett Johansson For W’s 40th Anniversary Covers

This November marks the 40th anniversary of W magazine and the start of a year long celebration of their rich history of storytelling through fashion photography.

The oversized November anniversary issue, which hits national newsstands on October 23, features Keira Knightley, Mia Wasikowska, Rooney Mara and Scarlett Johansson who were transformed into an iconic look from the past four decades for each of their covers which were shot by Steven Klein.

Keira channels the 00s wearing a Chanel tweed jacket, red hot lips and a platinum blonde Tilda Swinton-esqe do.

Wearing a flame-coloured wig and striking eye makeup, Mia channels the 80s donning a Balenciaga dress with colourful Solange Azagury-Partridge statement earrings.

Sporting a bob hairdo, Rooney channels the 70s wearing Prada and an Albertus Swanepoel hat.

Even with the nose ring and two-tone hair, Scarlett still oozes sex appeal wearing Dolce & Gabbana and red hot lips for her 90s cover.

Keira Knightley In Chanel – Soho House

Keira Knightley was spotted leaving the Soho House in London yesterday evening.

Even when she’s off duty, the British actress still wears Chanel, as she was dressed in a Chanel Fall 2012 charcoal grey ¾-length-sleeve tweed dress.

Keeping the grey theme going, she added a grey Chanel quilted chain-accented shoulder bag to her look.

I love the maroon bow-accented Miu Miu heels she added to her look for a touch of colour which breaks up all the grey.

Barely there makeup and wavy locks completed her look.

Keira Knightley For Vogue US October 2012

Keira Knightley looks as regal as ever on the cover of American Vogue’s October 2012 issue wearing Chanel Couture…of course…with her latest movie ‘Anna Karenina’ set to hit theatres with a limited release on November 16th.

The British beauty continues to stun in the rest of her editorial which sees her wearing yet another Chanel Couture gown, Dior Couture, Valentino Couture and costume from the Anna Karenina movie, designed by Jacquelin Durran and shot by Mario Testino.

Keira talks to the mag about everything from being a feminist, to wanting to do another theatre performance and her fiancé James Righton.

Here are some extracts from her interview.

On being a feminist: “I remember doing interviews, and people would ask, as if it was a joke, ‘So you mean you are a feminist?’ As though feminism couldn’t be discussed unless we were making fun of it. I don’t want to deny my femininity, but would I want to be a stay-at-home mother? No. On the other hand, you should be allowed to do that, as should men, without being sneered at.”

On wanting to do another live performance: “I’d love to do a new play. I think it works particularly well with period drama. The characters that you like will often say something directly about your own life choices.”

On accepting challenging on-screen roles: “I’m not really interested in the kinds of women who just take their clothes off or have a sex scene and then say something cool. I think a lot of people want to play heroic characters, and that’s it, but I don’t find that very compelling. It’s far more interesting to think about characters whose actions don’t always make sense.”

On her character Anna Karenina: “She is both a villain and a heroine. She can be incredibly vain and manipulative. She is somebody who breaks her own moral code, and yet the shame and disgust she lives with because of that make her fascinating.”

On whether she’ll spend Christmas with her family or fiancé Jame Righton’s family: “I have no idea; it’s a massive question. My family was just four and very simple. Now all of a sudden it’s breaking into different parts. I cannot imagine my mother letting us go.”

Keira Knightley In Elie Saab Couture – ‘Anna Karenina’ Toronto Film Festival Premiere

Keira Knightley dazzled at the premiere of her film ‘Anna Karenina’ at the 2012 Toronto Film Festival last night.

The actress chose a black Elie Saab gown from the designer’s Fall 2012 collection for the event.

The gown is a similar cut to the Chanel Couture ensemble she wore to the London premiere earlier this week – this look, however, is far superior.

The lace detail is beautiful rather than bulky and the narrower belt works better on her waist. Even the sheerness is done tastefully, resulting in a sophisticated silhouette.

Keira finished her look with a side-swept fringe, Chanel earrings and Gucci heels.

Keira Knightley In Chanel Couture – ‘Anna Karenina’ London Premiere

Keira Knightley made a welcome return to the red carpet this evening for the World Premiere of her latest movie, ‘Anna Karenina’ which was held at The Odeon Leicester Square in London.

As we know she goes one of two ways for a major premiere; Chanel or Valentino.

On this occasion she choose the former, selecting a pink gown from Chanel’s Fall 2012 Couture collection, which is our first look of this collection on the red carpet.

I’m going to be honest and say I’m not crazy about the gown.

I love the delicate sheer flutter sleeves and the decorative floral appliqués which cascade from around her neckline, down the front of the gown, but I can’t get over how stiff the whole look feels; the skirt is particularly bothersome.

Smoky eyes and a side parted updo completed her look.
