Keira Knightley In Proenza Schouler – ‘Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit’ London Premiere

Keira Knightley In Proenza Schouler - 'Jack Ryan Shadow Recruit London Premiere

Keira Knightley took to the red carpet this evening for the London premiere of ‘Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit’ held at the Odeon Leicester Square.

If you had bet against Keira wearing Chanel or Valentino, you would be cashing in about now, as the British actress turned from her favoured (expected to wear) brands for this Proenza Schouler ensemble.

The Spring 2014 Proenza Schouler dress consisted of a high-round-neck top with darting at the bust and a tonal pleated waistband with a tonal pleated peplum waist, instead of the top and wide-leg culottes we saw on the runway.

While I want to wax lyrical about how much I love this look, sadly it leaves me a tad disappointed that this is all she could muster for a big premiere on home soil.

Black Chanel pumps, a simple updo, a Chanel Fine Jewellery ‘Ruban’ silver bow-accented bracelet and a red-orange lip (which is divine) completed her look.

Keira Knightley In Valentino – ‘Laggies’ Sundance Film Festival Premiere

Keira Knightley In Valentino - 'Laggies' Sundance Film Festival Premiere

Before heading to London for tonight’s ‘Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit’ London premiere, Keira Knightley attended the ‘Laggies’ premiere held at Eccles Center Theatre during the 2014 Sundance Film Festival on Friday (January 17) in Park City, Utah.

You would be forgiven if you thought she was wearing Burberry Prorsum because the look is not too dissimilar to the outfit worn by Sandra Bullock at the AFI Awards, but she’s actually wearing a Valentino Pre-Fall 2014 look.

Her grey three-quarter-sleeved sweater accentuated with a black bow-accented belt was paired with a macramé-lace skirt in the same grey hue, with the look edged up with black lace-up booties.

Any bets on Keira wearing Chanel or Valentino this evening?

Keira Knightley For Harper’s Bazaar UK February 2014

Keira Knightley For Harper’s Bazaar UK February 2014

Keira Knightley covers the February 2014 issue of Harper’s Bazaar UK wearing, you guessed it, Chanel, shot by Alexi Lubomirski.

The British star can also been seen wearing a mix of Spring 2014 pieces from Balenciaga, Burberry Prorsum, Hermes, Valentino, Fendi, Michael Kors, Stella McCartney and Bottega Veneta in her editorial. It’s quite a fashion feast.

She talks to the mag about feminism, acting in the ‘boys club’ and why she will never join Twitter again.

Here is what the 28-year-old ‘Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit’ actress had to share with the mag:

On feminism: “I think it’s great that the discussions are finally being allowed to be had [about feminism], as opposed to anybody mentioning feminism and everybody going, ‘Oh, f***ing shut up.’ Somehow, it [feminism] became a dirty word. I thought it was really weird for a long time, and I think it’s great that we’re coming out of that.”

On working in the male-dominated film industry: “I go to work at 5.30 in the morning; I wouldn’t get back probably until nine o’clock at night. Most of the guys that I talk to – and I’ve spoken to a lot of guys about it – they say [whispers], ‘My wife does everything.’ You think, ‘Why wasn’t I thinking about this five years ago?’ Hollywood has a really long way to go. I don’t think that anybody can deny that, really, and I think as much as you are getting more women playing lead roles… they’re still pretty few and far between.”

On why she was only on Twitter for 12 hours: “It made me feel a little bit like being in a school playground and not being popular and standing on the sidelines kind of going, ‘Argh.’”

Get The Look: Keira Knightley’s Smouldering ‘Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit’ LA Premiere Makeup

Premiere Of Paramount Pictures' "Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit" - Red CarpetCelebrity makeup artist Kate Lee created Keira Knightley’s smouldering smudged-eye look for the ‘Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit’ LA premiere yesterday evening.

Here is how she created Keira’s look.

Considering Keira wore a navy Chanel dress with white details, Kate wanted to keep her looking more of the moment, and so she went for a creamy navy smudged eye.

As Keira had just got off the plane a few hours earlier, Kate prepped the skin with Chanel Hydra Beauty to hydrate and give a great base for a natural-looking complexion. Kate then used Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua 20 Beige to give a nice uniform glow. On the eye she started out by lining the inside of the upper and lower lash lines with Chanel Stylo Yeux Waterproof Marine.

Next she reached for Chanel Illusion d’ Ombre Apparition, which is a beautiful shimmering navy, to melt away the lines and give a soft effect. To finish off the eyes, she curled the lashes and gave them one coat of Chanel Inimitable Noir Mascara.

On the cheeks, for definition and a nude blush she used Chanel le Blush Creme de Chanel Cheeky (Summer 2014 Collection).

To finish, Kate used Chanel Rouge Coco Mademoiselle for a natural blushing lip.

Keira Knightley In Chanel – ‘Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit’ LA Premiere

Keira Knightley In Chanel - 'Jack Ryan Shadow Recruit' LA Premiere

Keira Knightley attended the Los Angeles premiere of ‘Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit’ held at TCL Chinese Theatre on Wednesday (January 15) in Hollywood, California.

I was surprised there was no grand gown on this occasion, as usually when she makes a return to the red carpet she slays us with an exquisite gown which we instantly add to our BDOTY list, but that wasn’t the case on this occasion.

The look was surprisingly muted, and I find myself really loving it, much to my surprise.

The white-trimmed navy Chanel frock with bow accents might be considered by some as boring, but I find it very chic and sophisticated; something from a bygone era which I can only picture someone else like Cate Blanchett or Michelle Dockery pulling off.

Smoky blue eyes and a wavy updo completed her look.

Fabulous or frumpy?
