Woman of the Year 2014 – Jessica Chastain

Woman of the Year
Jessica Chastain has taken Hollywood by storm in 2014, gracing red carpets the world over with her talent and her enviable style. The actress has not only experienced a whirlwind year of mega movie promotions, but also a magnificent 12 months of timelessly elegant and effortless looks that remain unforgettable and that have landed her at the top of many a BDOTW poll.

That said, it’s not hard to see why the flame-haired star is the consummate Woman of the Year for 2014.

Still going strong, she has most recently been premiering her latest films, ‘A Most Violent Year’ and ‘Interstellar.’ In fact, it was the ‘Interstellar’ promo tour where we saw her stunning Saint Laurent salmon-pink, one-shoulder gown at the London premiere and a swoon-worthy Givenchy Haute Couture backless black lace gown at the Los Angeles premiere.

Her promo tour for ‘The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby’ was likewise brimming with breathtaking exits—and it was where we witnessed one of her best looks of the year, an electric-blue Atelier Versace gown. The colour… simply unreal.

And the Cannes Film Festival wouldn’t have been complete without her and her lavender Elie Saab confection present and accounted for, nor the Golden Globes so golden without her classically glamorous Givenchy strapless black gown.

Nothing short of a standing ovation is in order.

Jessica Chastain attended the New York premiere of ‘A Most Violent Year’ held at the Florence Gould Hall Theater on Sunday (December 7) in New York City.

The gorgeous actress wore a custom-made Giorgio Armani wrap gown, inspired by an Armani look that she wears in the movie as her character, Anna Morales.

Simple and fluid yet captivating in a bold red hue, Jessica’s elegant and effortless style continues to leave me in awe.

Jessica Chastain attended a screening of her latest movie, ‘A Most Violent Year’, hosted at The Crosby Hotel in New York City on Monday (November 25).

Showcasing ladylike appeal, the actress wore a black Elie Saab Spring 2015 dress in a fit-and-flare silhouette rendered in lace for a touch of resolute femininity, bringing a welcome softness to the archetypal little black dress.

Void of colour, the look was styled with black patent pumps with no visible jewels to speak of.

With the movie title ‘A Most Violent Year’, it’s perhaps unlikely this will be a colourful promo tour.

Which Was Your Favourite Jessica Chastain ‘The Disappearance Of Eleanor Rigby’ Promo Tour Look?

Which Was Your Favourite Jessica Chastain ‘The Disappearance Of Eleanor Rigby' Promo Tour Look

Jessica Chastain, the hardest working and most stylish woman in Hollywood, had a massive year promoting many movies.

This takes a look back at the promo tour for ‘The Disappearance Of Eleanor Rigby’ which started in Toronto back in September for the film festival where she wore a dreamy turquoise Atelier Versace with the colour complementing both her pale skin and her flame-red hair.

At Cannes, she took to the red carpet for the premiere wearing one of the best dresses of the year, donning a jaw-dropping Atelier Versace electric-blue gown which six months on still gives me goose bumps.

Flirty and playful in Alexander McQueen for the Cannes photocall, she turned up the heat again wearing a Mary Katrantzou inky-blue paisley-print gown to the Ischia Global Film + Music Festival while giving her bangs their red carpet debut.

Her Prada outing for the New York premiere is perhaps the most forgettable here.

She had three outings during the San Sebastian Film Festival with her wearing Michael Kors and Oscar de la Renta, which showcased her lady-like style, with the tour ending with a bang as she looked sensational wearing a full-skirted cocktail frock with a custom Dsquared² orange and lilac jacquard design which she fully embraced with feminine flare.

My favourite look was the blue Atelier Versace, obvs, with her Dsquared² frock a close runner-up.

Jessica Chastain In Diane von Furstenberg – Hollywood Walk Of Fame Ceremony

Jessica Chastain In Diane von Furstenberg - Hollywood Walk Of Fame Ceremony

Jessica Chastain joined her ‘Interstellar’ co-stars Anne Hathaway and Matthew McConaughey for Matthew’s Hollywood Walk Of Fame ceremony on Monday (November 17) in Hollywood, California.

The actress wore a Diane von Furstenberg Spring 2015 dress, which has to be my least favourite look she’s worn – worse than the Marios Schwab.

My issue is the bodice: why, pray tell, does it appear to have a bikini top attached to it?

It’s all kinds of wrong; even the Christian Louboutin pink Pigalle Follies pumps can’t save this.

Jessica Chastain attended the Academy Of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences’ 2014 Governors Awards held at The Ray Dolby Ballroom at Hollywood & Highland Center on Saturday (November 8) in Hollywood, California.

Showing no signs of slowing down following her ‘Interstellar’ promo tour, the actress wore an ethereal Nina Ricci Spring 2015 ivory gown with a few jewels and dazzling Nicholas Kirkwood strappy sandals.

This floral silk-georgette gown is timeless in its elegance and delicacy; with a sexy peek-a-boo lace panel, it’s designed to flutter at the tiered skirt and fall gracefully to the floor.

It’s exquisite in just about every way.

Many of you have commented that her hair and makeup at present haven’t looked better, a sentiment I would agree upon even though I would’ve preferred a lighter hue with this gown.
