Eva Green In Tom Ford – “Cracks” New York Screening

Does anyone remember when Eva Green use to be the one to watch on the red carpet?

Back in 2007 she was my Fan Bing Bing. Eva would wear stunning Dior gowns which no one was brave enough to wear on the red carpet. Now it’s just one black dress after another black dress.

The French actress arrived at the Cinema Society screening of ‘Cracks’ at The Tribeca Grand Hotel in New York City last night wearing a Tom Ford Spring 2011 dress.

Her backless long sleeve dress was paired with the same heels the model wore on the runway, but Eva’s are accented with feathered details.

This isn’t a great dress for the likes of Eva.

Montblanc White Nights Festival: Mariinsky Ball – Eva Green In Alexander McQueen

Montblanc Ambassador Eva Green attended the Mariinsky Ball of Montblanc White Nights Festival in Russia on Saturday.

The French actress who’s not afraid of print nor colour, glowed in the sunshine wearing this red and white Alexander McQueen Spring 2010 strapless gown.

I love the vibrant print on Eva, but the dress appears to be surprisingly overwhelming her.

I think she needed was a belt to define her waist like the model.

I also would’ve preferred this look with her hair push back of her shoulders and with a bare neckline.

Not many would take on this type of gown with such confidence.

Runway To 2010 London Evening Standard British Film Awards – Eva Green In Alexander McQueen

French actress Eva Green was in London last night to present the Best Film award at Monday night’s “Evening Standard British Film Awards”.

The Princess of Darkness and usually Dior, seems to have deflected to Alexander McQueen for her recent red carpet appearances and she continues the run at this event.

She wore a black fitted Alexander McQueen two tone zig zag dress with shoulder pads.

You can just about make out the zig zag pattern in her black version.

I may have been totally bored by this look had Eva not added those stunning Alexander McQueen Geometric leather pumps and the hot touch of red to her lips.

Who Wore Christian Dior Better? Eva Green or Carina Lau

Eva Green first wore this Christian Dior Fall 2009 fuchsia embroidered gown to the amfAR Cinema Against Aids Benefit during Cannes Film Festival in May of last year.

I usually heart Eva, but here not so much.

Her hair and make up kinda makes her look a little crazy, the eyes especially are WAY too heavy for her.

And I’m not sure that this shade is such a good match with her pale skin.

Carina Lau then wore this dress to the Huabiao Film Awards” in August 2009.

On Carina, I love it.

The gown looks so beautiful against her skin tone and her subtle hair and make up allows the beautiful embellishments to speak for themselves.

I also prefer this dress worn without the sleeves, as Carina has done.

For me Carina is the clear winner.

Who Wore Alexander McQueen Better? Patsy Kensit or Eva Green

Patsy Kensit first wore this black and red feather Alexander McQueen gown back in September to the “TV Quick and TV Choice Awards” at the Dorchester Hotel in London.

I think that red really suits her colourings and this dress was made for a woman with curves, and this dress clings to Patsy in all the right places.

She wore a gorgeous gold clutch and a simple ring with her gown.

Eva Green wore this dress last month to the “British Independent Film Awards” in London.

I just love the way she’s worn her hair with this dress.

I also prefer Eva’s make up. This dress needs strong eyes and I love her lipstick too.

This a tough one as both look stunning but I think that Eva just wins for me.

The British Independent Film Awards

Carey Mulligan has yet to put a foot wrong on the red carpet.

This red Bottega Veneta Spring 2010 looks simple yet still chic on the young actress, who won Actress of the Year at this event.

Her look is paired with Sergio Rossi black stamped suede gladiators heels, and black Bottega Veneta origami patent clutch.

I’ve been missing a lot of drama from Eva Green recently.

She doesn’t disappoint on this occasion, as she wore this ultra dramatic red and black feather print Alexander McQueen cowl neck gown.

This is a head turning look, which the actress amps up with smokey eyes, tousled bed hair and a bold lip colour.

Definitely a contender for BDOTW.

Gemma Arterton didn’t get the “red” memo, as she opted for a classic LBD with a twist.

The twist was the poufy shoulders.

The dress fails to excite, but I love the hair and make-up.
