Best Dressed Of The Week – Emma Stone In Christian Dior Couture, Camila Alves In Donna Karan Atelier & Eddie Redmayne in Prada

Despite you guys not loving the sheer skirt trend, Emma Stone was your favourite this week.

You were blown away by how modern and chic she looked as she opted, once again, to eschew a traditional gown, wearing a Christian Dior Couture look that was a bold take on the tux trend to the SAG Awards.

My favourite without question was Camila Alves in Donna Karan Atelier. Some might say a very predictable choice, but between the colour, the pose and the elegant draping, this look rendered me speechless.

When it came to the guys, the choice was simple and unanimous: Eddie Redmayne in Prada.

Emma Stone In Christian Dior Couture – 2015 SAG Awards

Emma Stone wowed on the red carpet at the 2015 Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday (January 25) at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

Talk about taking the menswear-inspired trend to the next level! Emma’s tuxedo gown by Christian Dior Couture was incredibly cool and sexy.

With sheer black paneling peaking out from the top of the tuxedo blazer to the dramatic sheer train, Emma schooled us on just how glamorous a menswear look can be.

The ‘Birdman’ star’s accessorizing was also spot-on, with ankle strap Christian Louboutin ‘Gardnera’ peep-toe heels and Repossi jewels in the form of blingy mis-matched ear cuffs.

This may be my favourite style of the evening. Was it yours, too?

Best Dressed Of The Week – Emma Stone In Lanvin, Camilla Belle In Carolina Herrera & Matt Bomer In Ralph Lauren

Best Dressed Of The Week - Emma Stone In Lanvin, Camilla Belle In Carolina Herrera & Matt Bomer In Ralph Lauren

According to you, the Golden Globe Awards was the best-dressed event with Emma Stone’s gown alternative from Lanvin and Matt Bomer’s super-sharp navy suit from Ralph Lauren’s Black Label collection.

While I agree that Matt was the best-dressed guy this week, I went for Camilla Belle in Carolina Herrera for my best dressed.

The look was so elegant and regal, and the fit was to perfection. This look excited me more than anything served up by the Globes and Critics’ Choice awards last week.

Get The Look: Emma Stone’s Bold Smoky Golden Globes Beauty Look

Emma Stone Golden Globes MakeupEmma Stone has always been one to sparkle on the red carpet.

A fan of stunning and statement making looks; Emma’s ensemble at Sunday evening’s Golden Globe Awards was no exception. Her unique embellished Lanvin jumpsuit served as the perfect inspiration for her cool and daring beauty look.

Celebrity Makeup Artist, Rachel Goodwin, created a look that not only played up Emma’s bright eyes but also highlighted the lips. “With Emma’s look we really went fun, coquettish and flirtatious. For her makeup, we focused on both eyes and lips, which isn’t the norm—but we wanted something modern and ultra-feminine, not too serious” says Rachel.

A truly daring look that’s surprisingly wearable, here’s how you can recreate Emma’s Golden Globe beauty look yourself:

For a flawless base, Rachel applied an even layer of Revlon PhotoReady Airbrush Effects Makeup (Vanilla) to skin. She chose this foundation for its pore diminishing qualities and airbrush finish. Once the skin was set, Rachel brightened Emma’s face with a slight flush of color. Opting for a soft rosy pink blush, Rachel swept Chanel Le Jardin de Chanel Powder blush along Emma’s cheeks.

To achieve Emma’s stunning smoky eye, Rachel simply used the Chanel Quadra Eyeshadow palette in Tisse Riviera. She began by saturating the grey tone on the lid and continued with the darkest shade, neatly blending that into the outer corner of Emma’s eyes. She pulled the darker shadow out into a soft almond shape which gives the illusion of a more lifted and open eye. Once a gradient smoky effect was created, the look was framed with a soft blending of the lightest shade along the outer perimeters of the dark shadow.

For added intensity, Rachel lined the waterline with Chanel Stylo Yeux Waterproof Eyeliner in Black Shimmer and softly smoked a little along the outer half of the lower lash line. To open the eye, Rachel applied the lightest shadow from the quad to the tear duct and pulled the pale shimmery tone along the lower lash line. For the final framing element, she generously coated Emma’s lashes with CHANEL Le Volume de Chanel Mascara in Noir.

For that beautiful subtle red lip, Rachel chose a red lipstick with berry undertones. An even swipe of the creamy textured Revlon Ultra HD Lipstick in HD Iris was just the right shade to finish off the look.

An unusual pairing that made for a modern and cool look, this beauty style has just enough glamour for formal settings.

Stana Katic in Carolina Herrera was the readers favourite this week, plus the lovely Emma Stone in Lanvin and Emily Blunt in David Koma were inseparable in the poll this week.

Your best dressed male was Chris Evans in a dressy casual Gucci look.

My favourites were Emily Blunt in David Koma and I would never bet against Chris Hemsworth, who looked dashing in Dolce & Gabbana.

Emma Stone In Lanvin – 2015 Golden Globe Awards

Emma Stone In Lanvin - 2015 Golden Globe Awards

Emma Stone took to the red carpet at the 2015 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday (January 11) at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California.

I was completely enamoured with the ‘Birdman’ star and Best Supporting Actress nominee’s ensemble, not the least because it was one of the more unexpected looks of the evening.

Her Lanvin jumpsuit was nothing if not impossibly cool, what with its sparkling silver, embellished bodice and mannish trousers, complete with a statement bow and train in the back—the perfect fusion between feminine and masculine styling.

She smartly kept her jewelry confined to a smattering of midi rings, as this Lanvin design was a jewel in and of itself.

Her flame-red, wavy bob and magenta lip are merely the icing on the cake of a delicious look.

Emma Stone In Lanvin – SAG Foundation Conversations: ‘Birdman’

Emma Stone In Lanvin - SAG Foundation Conversations 'Birdman'

Ahead of Sunday’s Golden Globes, Emma Stone made her first appearance of the year at the SAG Foundation Conversations: ‘Birdman’ held at The New School on Monday (January 5) in New York City.

The actress wore a two-piece Lanvin Pre-Fall 2015 look, with the coral and black A-line embroidered skirt very much the stand-out piece and the black knit top having its own touch of flare via the pink stone accents around the neckline.

I adore this look for its fairy-tale splendour and its mysterious charm.

For me, she can do no wrong.
