Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Diane Kruger arrived on the red carpet without boyfriend Joshua Jackson for the 2012 GQ Men of the Year party, held at the Chateau Marmont in LA last night.

We don’t usually see Diane show so much skin, but at this type of event it’s pretty much expected.

The German actress wore a Cushnie et Ochs Spring 2013 dress.

Her white sleeveless floor-length silk crepe dress features a cropped tank overlay, braided strappy detail at the bodice, an open waist and a central slit.

I love the black Vanessa Bruno blazer nonchalantly draped over her shoulders.

Accessories included a gold Jason Wu clutch and black Jimmy Choo ‘Louisa’ criss-cross sandals.

Kohl-rimmed eyes, a hot red lip colour and a simple updo completed her look.

The overlay on her dress needed a lot of adjustment, which may have prevented her looking like she was smuggling raisins under her top.

I’m not as wowed as I usually am when it comes to Diane. This look is just OK for me.

The first name on any Chanel event guest list, I’m sure, is Diane Kruger.

She joined Blake Lively on the red carpet at the celebration of Chanel Fine Jewelry’s 80th anniversary of the ‘Bijoux De Diamants’ collection created by Gabrielle Chanel in New York City yesterday evening.

Not surprisingly, she had first dibs on the Chanel Spring 2013 collection, as she often does, but I can’t say I’m particularly enamoured by this look.

Firstly the dress appears to be a tad too tight, squishing her twins. Secondly the strapless blue-and-black knee-length dress isn’t that exciting, or interesting.

But that may be down to Diane’s styling, because for once the model outdoes her on that score.

Diane selected a yellow satin clutch and black Christian Louboutin ‘Pigalle’ pumps.

Diane Kruger attended yesterday’s ‘Inescapable’ premiere at the Roy Thomson Hall during the 2012 Toronto Film Festival with her beau Joshua Jackson.

The actress wore a piece from the Valentino Fall 2012 Couture collection.

Diane stayed true to her stylish self in this dress. Although the sequin and fur-lined bodice threatened to overwhelm her with its long sleeves and distinctive pattern, the skirt’s high-waist, gathered slit and just-above-the-knee hem rebalance the proportions.

A black clutch, black pumps, flawless makeup and a top knot complete her look.

Diane Kruger wore a full Current/Elliott look on a night out to Katsuya with boyfriend Joshua Jackson in LA on Thursday night.

The German actress, whose red carpet style is loved as much as her street style, wore Current/Elliott’s ‘The Freshman’ tee in grey leopard with Current/Elliott’s ‘The Stiletto’ skinny jeans in neon pink.

Diane styled her look with Bally nude strappy sandals, a white envelope clutch we’ve seen her carry once before and beautiful chandelier earrings.

A simple ponytail, barely there makeup and a shiny copper manicure completed her date night look.

Joshua Jackson and Diane Kruger attended an event at the Whitney Museum to celebrate the launch of Louis Vuitton’s collaboration with Yayoi Kusama last week.

The stylish couple were both decked out in Louis Vuitton.

Joshua wore a dark suit with contrasting lapels styled with a white dress shirt and black shoes.

Diane opted for an LV Resort 2013 look which complemented her beau’s eggplant-coloured suit.

Dressed in a floaty lilac floor-length dress, she ripped the runway look by also adding the navy-trimmed, maroon-belted jacket.

I always appreciate Diane’s love for picking tricky looks and bringing them to life on the red carpet, but on this occasion I would’ve loved to have seen the look without the jacket.

Gold jewels, a low bun and a Louis Vuitton minaudière completed her look.

Diane Kruger was spotted outside Laemmle’s Royal Theatre in LA on Friday evening where she attended the French Consulate screening of her new movie ‘Farewell, My Queen’.

The German actress is the third person within a week to rock a crop top. Her black-and-white striped Lucca Couture top, which features lace-up detailing along the back, was styled with loose-fitted Hugo Boss black trousers.

She goes from high glamour in Alaia and Marchesa last week, to this gorgeous laidback look with equal aplomb.

Just how does she do it?

A blue monogram Louis Vuitton ‘Coquette’ Fall 2009 clutch with gold studded accents around the black leather wrap and Sergio Rossi black strappy sandals accessorized her look.

Even with slightly frizzy locks and minimal makeup, she’s still a knock-out.
