Get The Look: Allison Williams’ Michael Kors Braided Hairstyle

Allison Williams Hair

Celebrity hairstylist Rebekah Forecast worked with Allison Williams for the Michael Kors Fall 2015 fashion show during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week on Wednesday (February 18).

When describing her beauty inspiration, Rebekah said, “Allison has a strong sense of personal style so she always has great ideas for beauty looks. We drew inspiration from her outfit and, based on the proportions, we knew we wanted to keep the hair back.”

Here’s how to get the look.

Beginning with clean, towel-dried hair, Rebekah applied Kerastase Resistance Mousse Volumifique from the mid shaft to the ends of the hair and Serge Normant Meta Lush Volumizer to the roots.

Next she blow dried the hair straight and created a centre parting. She also used a flat iron to remove any waves and applied a bit of Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray.

She then pulled the hair back into two sections from mid ear to just under the crown and plaited the sections, creating a fishtail braid. She ran though the back with a flat iron again to keep the look as sleek as possible.

To cover the elastic and add a sweet (but not too sweet) touch, she tied a leather bow to the end of the braid. She finished with Shu Uemura Art of Hair Essence Absolue on the ends for shine.

Michael Kors Fall 2015 Front Row

Michael Kors Fall 2015 Front Row

Michael Kors presented his Fall 2015 collection during New York Fashion Week on Wednesday (February 18) at Spring Studios in New York City, where a selection of lovely ladies were perched in his Spring 2015 collection in the front row.

Kate Hudson: It appears that Kate has finally found a look to match her sunny personality. The off-the-shoulder knit top gives the look a hint of sultriness while the floral-print skirt brings the look back to prim. I love the Charlotte York uptown Park Avenue princess feel that’s oozing from this ‘ladies who lunch’ look.

Allison Williams: Working a different look that showcases a slice of skin, I love how Allison’s Michael Kors Spring 2015 daffodil- and peony-embroidered two-piece look salutes modern sophistication with casual grace.

Allison Williams In Mary Katrantzou – Glamour Cover Star Dinner Party

Allison Wiliams In Mary Katrantzou - Glamour Cover Star Party

‘Glamour’ cover star Allison Williams was feted by editor-in-chief Cindi Leive at a celebration held at il Buco Alimentari & Vineria in New York City on Wednesday (January 14).

The starlet, who has captured our attention with her red-carpet style, continued to do so in a directional Mary Katrantzou Spring 2015 collared dress, intricately patterned and strewn over with artsy, squiggly embroidery and a Peter Pan collar.

The effect was whimsical, trend-forward and slightly chaotic. So, given the complexity of the dress, she kept her styling straightforward.

A simple, chic pair of Jimmy Choo ‘Ari’ black pumps and Ana Khouri white-gold ‘Libertine’ earrings, along with minimal makeup and a sleek, pulled-back updo was all that was needed.

Allison Williams In Armani Privè - 2015 Golden Globe Awards

Allison Williams attended the 2015 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday (January 11) in Beverly Hills, California.

A far cry from the actress’s recent role as Peter Pan in the televised musical extravaganza, Allison looked unapologetically feminine in an embellished Armani Privé gown.

While a princess-worthy silhouette is nothing new for the starlet — Allison wore an equally girly Monique Lhuillier number to the Girls season four premiere–the delicate beading and exquisite ruffles are undeniably jaw-dropping. Since this dress is such a masterpiece, I wonder if it should’ve been saved for a nominee.

Though the actress smartly balanced this dress with minimal jewelry, Allison’s almost ringlet hair makes this look feel a little outdated. A sleek long bob or wavy ponytail would make this larger-than-life dress more youthful.

Allison Williams In Giambattista Valli – The Today Show

Allison Williams In Giambattista Valli - The Today Show

Allison Williams made a guest appearance on NBC News’s ‘Today’ show to promote season four of ‘Girls’, which airs in the US on Sunday and on Sky Atlantic in the UK on Monday.

Opting to mix her prints, the actress selected pieces from Giambattista Valli’s Spring 2015 collection.

I love the juxtaposition of the edgy cocoon-shaped graphic top with the pretty floral skirt, making quite an intriguing downtown meets uptown mix.

I would’ve loved for Allison to take this look further with a pair of peep-toe ankle boots, but she kept her footwear simple with black pumps.

Allison is having quite an impressive run. I’m enjoying the less predictable pieces she’s selecting while still maintaining that ladylike polish.

Allison Williams, star of HBO’s ‘Girls’, made a guest appearance on the ‘Late Show with David Letterman’ on Tuesday evening (January 6) to promote the return of the hit TV series.

Shelving her prim ladylike style for the night, she wore a sexy Ralph Lauren Black Label red dress with a chic bodycon fit creating a slinky silhouette and cut-outs adding a touch of allure.

Paired with black Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals to convey a minimalist outlook, she completed her look with wavy tresses and glossy lips.
