Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Back home for London Fashion Week, Alexa Chung attended the Stella McCartney Special Presentation held in London on Saturday night.

Alexa honoured the designer by wearing a strapless black silk Stella McCartney gown.

The British Fashion Council just announced Alexa as its Young Style Ambassador, but after this ensemble they might want to reconsider.

Messy hair paired with a shapeless gown does absolutely nothing for her.

After hitting up the Jason Wu and Honor Fall 2012 shows during New York Fashion Week, Alexa Chung returned home to host the 2012 Elle Style Awards this evening.

I don’t want to say it, but I love her in this Stella McCartney Pre-Fall 2012 suit.

With menswear the inspiration for many designers this Fashion Week, Alexa is already up on the trend.

I’m so glad she decided to restyle this grey check suit with a white shirt as the orange doesn’t really work for me.

I love the jacquard panel on the hem of her cropped pants; this is an interest twist on a classic suit.

The best thing about this look is that Alexa has finally taken onboard the three pieces of advice we are constantly dishing out to her: shampoo, brush and a ladylike pair of heels.

Bravo Miss Chung.

Alexa Chung decided to mix things up on the red carpet at the amfAR New York Gala to kick off Fall 2012 Fashion Week last night.

The British TV presenter, who we’re bound to see popping up in the front row many times this week, wore a Louis Vuitton Spring 2012 look.

She took the silk blouse from look 47 with the leather studded floral appliqué skirt from look 18.

I would’ve loved her to wear look 47 in its entirety, but with that limp hair it is probably a blessing in disguise.

Alexa Chung joined Diane Kruger and Jessica Alba in Las Vegas this weekend for the ‘Numeros Prives’ Exhibition by Chanel.

The TV presenter, who is pursuing fame in America with her new show ’24 Hour Catwalk’, wore a Chanel Spring 2012 dress.

I have to say I really like this look (you know it pains me to admit this).

Her classic baby-blue boucle sleeveless dress with silver buttons and a drop-waist tiered skirt was teamed with shoes that didn’t quite work with the dress, but at least they aren’t those hideous black platform heels she seems to love so much.

Silver Jimmy Choo ‘Lance’ sandals would’ve been preferred.

Alexa is head-over-heels in lust with her Christopher Kane Spring 2012 embellished clutch.

She has been spotted carrying it everywhere since she first used it to accessorize her Christopher Kane Spring 2012 dress at the 2011 British Fashion Awards.

Alexa Chung made a guest appearance on ‘Late Night with Jimmy Fallon’ last night in New York City to promote her new TV show, ’24 Hour Catwalk’.

The Lifetime show will air for the first time in the US on Tuesday January 10 at 10pm EST. She will host the show which also features Derek Blasberg and Cynthia Rowley. The premise for the reality show is that each episode four new designers will compete to create a three-piece collection and stage a runway show within 24 hours.

Alexa wore a silver metallic Marc Jacobs Spring 2012 coat as a dress.

The festive perforated look has shiny silver buttons and a leather oversized collar.

It begrudges me to say she looks really cute here.

The tights are jarring, but considering she would’ve been seated for the interview, I understand why she wore them.

Her grease-free hair was teased up into an updo with chic bangs.

Silver Marc Jacobs Mary Jane pumps from the same collection completed her look.

I’m going to do what most fashion blogs will never do: give Alexa Chung the ‘Most Overrated’ award.

If there was a fashion blogger rule book, rule #5 would be ‘Thou must love Alexa Chung’s style’.

Sorry but not only do I not like it – at times I just don’t get it.

Who in their right mind hits the red carpet wearing a Chanel dress without even taking a comb to their hair?

Shabby chic just doesn’t cut it for me. Give me the flawless Fan Bingbing any day.
