Aishwarya Rai For Vogue India February 2011

Aishwarya Rai – one of the most beautiful women in the world – graces the cover of Vogue India’s February 2011 issue wearing Roksanda Ilincic.

The bold shouldered feathered blazer may be from past seasons, but it makes a huge impact on this cover which was shot by Polish photographer Marcin Tyszka.

The Bollywood beauty also wears a red Jenny Packham gown and a Valentino dress in her editorial.

Aishwarya wasn’t interviewed for this feature. Instead Vogue India compiled statements from 10 men on a wide range of topics.

Mickey Contractor on Aishwarya Rai: “When I first met Aishwarya on the shoot of a talcum powder commercial, she was shocked by my language (I used to abuse a lot). She kept giggling on the set. She told me later that she wondered what kind of weirdo I was. I then worked with her on her first film, Aur Pyar Ho Gaya, and on several ad campaigns thereafter. She carries off every look I create for her. She is daring, adaptable and confident of the way she looks. She is a natural beauty. When god was distributing good looks, the rest of us must have been in the loom because she got it all.”Read More…

Roberto Cavalli’s 40th Anniversary Party – Aishwarya Rai In Roberto Cavalli

Indian beauty Aishwarya Rai looked breath-taking at Roberto Cavalli’s 40th Anniversary Party in Paris last night.

She is the epitome of glamour and elegance.

The actress could have pulled off shorter Roberto Cavalli Resort 2009 dress as worn by Milla Jovovich and Paris Hilton, but instead she opted for the longer gown.

The silver fish-scale-like gown with fringed details along the bust was a perfect party look.

Wavy hair and an pop of colour courtesy of a blue satin clutch completed the look.

Who Wore Elie Saab Better? Aishwarya Rai or Liu Wen

Since Heatworld have copied each of my Who Wore It Better? polls this week, I thought I would stump them today by featuring two stunning beauties that their Kerry Katona loving readers won’t understand.

Aishwarya Rai looked stunning wearing an Elie Saab Spring 2010 gown to the 2010 Longines Charity Dinner which was held in Paris back in June.

I was in total awe of the Indian actress as she took my breath away with her grace and beauty.

Flawless make-up and a gold clutch completed her look.

Chinese supermodel Liu Wen wore the same dress to Marie Claire’s Style event which was held at the Shangri-La Hotel last week. (Check out her amazing Vogue China September 2010 editorial)

She’s no stranger to Elie Saab’s designs, as she walked the runway during his Fall 2010 Couture presentation.

Liu opted for two pops of colour by sporting bold red lips and bubblegum pink Bottega Veneta knot marcapunto stitched clutch.

Although Liu’s pink clutch is a cute idea, I guess I’m more old fashioned because I loved way Aishwarya gold clutch complements the studs on her exquisite gown.

I also prefer this gown with the hair up so Aishwarya wins on two counts.

“Raavan” London Premiere – Aishwarya Rai In Sabyasachi

Aishwarya Rai and her husband Abhishek Bachchan arrived to a superstar welcome on the red carpet at BFI Southbank in London yesterday evening.

Thousands of fans were there to greet the genetically blessed couple.

Aishwarya looked beautiful. I loved that she wore another traditional Indian Sabyasachi sari, but I was crazy about the design.

I really didn’t like the white embroidery on the sleeves. I find it very distracting and it ruined this look for me.

I much preferred the Sabyasachi sari she wore during Cannes Film Festival.

Best Dressed Of The Week – Aishwarya Rai In Elie Saab & Jessica Biel In Diane von Furstenberg

Aishwarya Rai wearing Elie Saab was your best dressed this week.

The Indian actress looked stunning and deserved to win.

Some of you preferred this gown to her all her looks during Cannes Film Festival.

I found it much harder to pick one look this week.

Jessica Biel wasn’t in the BDOTW poll as she came 5th in the CFDA poll, but her tropical print Diane von Furstenberg Carrie Hill beaded dress is the only look that I’ve remembered from this week.

It was a huge departure from her usual safe style and she looked beautiful so she wins for me.
