Red Carpet Fashion Awards

When I found this picture of Victoria Beckham and Eva Longoria I instantly thought it was an editorial for a magazine.

The picture is supposedly an ad for LG.

Eva Longoria will put her name to anything. Magnum ice cream, L’Oreal, Fog London, and BeBe Sport, but Victoria is all about Brand Beckham which is why this ad puzzles me.

What also puzzles me is that apart from the small logo in the shot, what are Mrs Beckham and Mrs Longoria-Parker actually selling?

Phones, TVs, or are they just selling us their fabulousity?

What VB’s selling is her Giles Fall 2009 gunmetal grey mini dress.

You may remember she for a salmon coloured version last year.

Despite what the ad is supposed to represent the ladies look fabulous – despite the fact that Ken Paves went all Dolly Parton on Eva’s hair.

Scarlett Johansson is very much the go to campaign girl at the moment.

Last year she appeared in two Dolce & Gabanna campaigns to promote their makeup line and a D&G perfume, and now she’s returned as the face of Mango.

This is Scarlett’s third campaign for Spanish brand Mango, which must mean she’s having a positive impact on sales.

The Spring 2010 campaign was shot in New York by Mario Sorrenti in a sexy boudoir setting.

Scarlett looks sexy and beautiful as always.

The wrap dresses, denim shirts, pretty floral dress and khaki shirts look pretty enough, yet they don’t really inspire me to check out this collection.

Everyone was blown away by Alexander McQueen’s Spring 2010 “Plato’s Atlantis” collection.

From the vivid colours and digital prints, to the “how did they walk in those Armadillo heels?” we were all fascinated.

Thankfully Lily Cole, Noot Seer, Daphne Guinness, Lady GaGa and Camilla Belle have all done justice to these magnificent pieces from this amazing collection, but only Guinness and GaGa have been brave enough to walk in those heels.

We all knew that the ad campaign was going to be equally captivating, and here’s a first look at the Alexander McQueen’s Spring 2010 ad campaign which features uber model Raquel Zimmermann.

You can barely make out Raquel who is covered in 30 snakes which are as colourful as her McQueen jumpsuit.

I can’t wait to see more of this campaign which was shot by Nick Knight.

Versace has announced that Georgia May Jagger is the face of its Spring/Summer 2010 campaign.

She was recently voted Model of the Year at The British Fashion Awards.

The campaign was shot by Mario Testino in London at the beginning of November 2009 and will be showcased in editorials from February 2010.

Donatella Versace said of Georgia: “She’s smart, a strong personality, beautiful, full of energy… and with that natural star quality, I adore her! She’s perfect for this collection – A real Versace girl.”

It looks like Georgia is set to follow in her mother’s footsteps, as Jerry Hall also modelled for the label over twenty years ago!

Georgina is currently the face of Hudson Jeans and Rimmel London.

She will be taking over from Gisele Bundchen as the new face of Versace. Wow – those are some beautiful boots she’ll have to fill!

I have been drooling over the whole of this collection for some time now and especially adore the thigh skimming skirts, which Georgina certainly has the legs for.

Donatella took her inspiration for the Spring 2010 collection from Tim Burton’s “Alice In Wonderland”.

Personally, I love the shots and think that Georgia is a perfect ambassador for such a vibrant, sexy brand.

Emma Watson reprised her role as the face of Burberry for their Spring 2010 ad campaign, which was shot by Mario Testino.

She looks fabulous wearing a selection of pieces, with the focus seemingly on the sexy new trench coats as well as the classics trenches.

Emma appears in the campaign alongside her younger brother 17 year old Alex Watson.

I love this campaign. I think Emma is the perfect brand ambassador for the younger crowd that Burberry appear to be aiming this campaign towards.

I LOVE the twisted pieces.

The only criticism I have is that the styling feels much the same as the Fall 2009 campaign.

Back in October Claudia Schiffer and designer Karl Lagerfeld were seen in Buenos Aires shooting the Chanel Spring 2010 on location in Argentina.

The picture above is the first picture of the campaign to be released, but you can see from the candids below, we have a lot more to look forward to.

If you were expecting the campaign to follow the barnyard feel of the Spring 2010 presentation, you will surprised that this campaign has a latin flair.

The Spring looks were accessorized with wide-brimmed hats, boots – no clogs – and of course the classic quilted bags.

This campaign also features models Freja Beha and Baptiste Giabiconi.
