Zhang Yuqi In Alexander McQueen – Prix de Diane Longines

Zhang Yuqi In Alexander McQueen - Prix de Diane Longines

Zhang Yuqi, our breakout star of Cannes Film Festival, made a welcome return to the red carpet at the Prix de Diane Longines held at Hippodrome de Chantilly in Paris, France on Sunday.

The stunning actress wore a very chic look from Alexander McQueen’s Fall 2013 collection, which featured a white mandarin-collared blouse with gold button fastenings and puff sleeves with ruffled cuts, paired with a teal-green calf-length pencil skirt.

I love the styling, which includes a leather corseted belt to give this ladylike look a classic McQueen edge, a white clutch, green suede pumps and an obligatory Longines timepiece in rose gold.

The hat I don’t love as much as the rest of her accessories, mostly because it instantly made me think of a graduation cap.

This is all too Titanic-meets-school-marm for my taste. I do like the blouse, but the skirt has lost all the sass it had in the look book. I miss the buttons and the slit

ITA with the skirt comments–and I wish she would’ve worn the shoes in the lookbook also. And that hat bothers me as well. All that said, I do really like the idea of this look, maybe not just the execution so much.

+1 on the slit, buttons and shoes

I quite like this, although I wish she had kept the buttons on the skirt. It seems like they are gone (or she’s hiding them perfectly with her arms). The shoes have the usual hoof quality.

Wish the shoes were slightly less heavy, she is selling this look to me otherwise, hat included.

I believe Nicole Kidman wore a similar look. This look comes off as costumey on her.

Loving this look sans the shoes and the hat.

I think the hat brings the entire outfit together. The look is very elegant and chic and not many can pull it off.

Totally costume-like on Zhang. I just love it on the model, though!!!

Fashion people….. you need study dress code of this kind of occasion, I don’t think women are allowed to show their knees… So no split!! It’s not that the buttons are missing or taken off…. it’s totally another skirt……

The hat is too safe, could have been more quirky, it’s what it’s supposed to be~~~

This look is probably not too exciting for some people, but well presented and still fashionable enough for this occasion.

I don’t like the hat, but the rest of quirky chic outfit is working for me.
