Alan Cummings was the host of the 2012 BAFTA Los Angeles Britannia Awards presented by BBC America at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in California yesterday evening.
The ‘Good Wife’ actor wore a bright red Versace suit from the Fall 2012 collection.
Having seen Alan front row at many runway shows I’m not surprised by his stand out choice.
His red suit with gold medusa buttons was styled with a white dress shirt, black bow tie and black shoes.
Do you like this bold look, or do you prefer something more traditional?

He just looks funny.
Love the suit, hate the bulky shoes!
I agree. If he went for thiner, sleeker shoes it would have looked better. With these bulky hikers(?) it looks clownish.
I was loving it until I scrolled down to the black brick boots. He definitely needed a refined shoe with this look
It is certainly bold. With the white shirt and black bowtie, he looks like a waiter or maitre’d.
My first thought, honestly, was what’s PeeWee Herman doing there. Not a good look imo.
LOL
I’m not loving it, but he looks OK, except the shoes of course, they look awful.
I love it!!! He’s bold always in his choices but this is a good balance between fashion forward, “classy” and tasteful
The suit is pretty cool, what bothers me are the appalling shoes!
BRILLIANT, until I saw his shoes.
The worst thing about this look are the shoes. Horrendous
Except for the shoes, he looks dashing!
Those shoes drag the entire look down ! He’s got on what looks like rain shoes with a great suit.
Alan loves to have fun with fashion, so this look is perfect for him.
I just hate the clunky shoes. Other than that, this look is perfect.
I love it when men step out of the box.
The suit is poorly fitted and the shoes are appalling.
Too bad really, since the idea is amazing.
You lovely, lovely man! I love him. I think he’s pulling it off; I do agree the shoes could have been better.
this was looking so good til it came to the shoes. WHY? other than those ugly things he is looking handsome.
nice suit!awful shoes
Love a good English Eccentric but wished he hadn’t buttoned second jacket button and did a lighter shoe. However he is always a delight in the red carpet or on stage or in front of the camera
I like a touch of whimsy in men’s suits but THIS? Just too much. He looks like a clown in this eyesore…not to mention those orthopedic shoes.
The shoes are so bad that he might as well have worn Crocs on the red carpet. That being said, I quite like the rest of his outfit, although his pants could be better fitted.
LOVED it till I got to the shoes! Come on, Alan, you can do better!
First of all, red is not for men. I remember when a journalist asked Valentino, who loves red so much, if the famous Red Valentino was for men, too. He simply answered “Let’s not joke, a man could wear a tiny red detail, not red clothes”. That’s exactly what I think. And his shoes look like those worn by workers to avoid accidents (I don’t know the exact english word).
Hate the shoes. I would never expect anything traditional from Alan so this suit works great!
