Gillian Anderson also took to the red carpet last night for the 2012 Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards, held at Claridge’s Hotel in London on Wednesday evening.
The actress gives us our first look at the Nicholas Oakwell Fall 2012 Couture collection on the red carpet.
Her gorgeous nude dress with long sleeves, a plunging neckline, long train and silver patterned beadwork is a great look for the actress who can be hit and miss on the red carpet.
A gold clutch, Tiffany & Co. ‘Grace’ drop earrings and a quiffed updo completed her look, which is most definitely a hit.

nice but something is bugging me a little about, cant put my finger on what it is though.
For me it’s her booob showing. It’s tacky and distracting!
Sunset Boulevard. Don’t like anything about this look and wish she would go back to chestnut hair.
This look is ok. I don’t think the dress is very flattering.
I really don’t like the plunging neckline on her.

Agree with Rita and CreoleLady–not loving this. TMI with the neckline, the dress is too long and she’s swamped in it. Don’t like this hair color on her. She is such a beautiful woman who goes so terribly wrong.

Seems that I’m the only one who agrees with FC. I think this is absolutely a gorgeous look, and I would have even nominated it for BDOTW. For me she has been more hit that miss on the red carpet, lately.

This isn’t working for her whatsoever. She is way too short to pull it off.
It’s looks kind of interesting on the taller, less busty brunette model on the runway but on Gillian it doesn’t work so well. I like the clutch though.
My first reaction was “Meryl’s lil sis.” Something about the hair and full bust that made the connection, I guess. It’s an okay look, I’d say, and big improvement for Gillian, if you think about her past looks on the red carpet. She’s more graceful now.
This isn’t a hit for me–the very revealing neckline is unflattering and extremely tacky, the pattern of the dress feels matronly, it’s too long, and I’m not a fan of the sleeves.
Gillian is beautiful, bottom line. I’m sure they asked her to wear the couture. She’s been looking very elegant and stylish on the red carpet IMHO. I especially liked some of the vintage dresses she’s been wearing, very pretty.
