If you are looking for chic feminine tailoring with oodles of Parisian flare, then look no further than the Giambattista Valli Spring 2013 collection.
Presented on a colour palette of black, red, white and gold, the collection was fresh and refined with both elegant day and evening pieces with everything feeling very light, even the embellished pieces.
For day, the designer presented ankle-cropped pants, vests, LBDs, wrap skirts, cocoon-shaped jackets, short-sleeved jumpsuits, tailored suits and lady-like dresses.
For the red carpet, things got a little more risqué with an array of sheer pieces, which may or may not be lined by the time they hit the red carpet.
I think in most cases celebs could carry off these sheer pieces as presented on the runway, especially the one with the floral appliqués.
There was also a chic white peplum dress, a gorgeous red dress with a tulip skirt, an embellished gold crop top and skirt plus a floral appliqué dress I would like to also see on the red carpet.
Key accessories included metallic pointy pumps, bracelets and clutches with a GBV logo.
Front Row: Rachel Zoe, Anna Dello Russo, Leigh Lezark, Bianca Brandolini d Adda and Anna Wintour
Favourites: Embellished top with sheer floral skirt and white sheer dress with red lace embroidery
Who I See Wearing This Collection: Olivia Palermo, Jessica Biel, Eva Mendes, Jessica Alba, Amy Adams, Elizabeth Banks, Dree Hemingway,Dasha Zhukova, Carey Mulligan, Kirsten Dunst and Camilla Belle

I love this collection. Some pieces should definitely be lined to hit the red carpet, but not all of them.
Cant wait for the exposed big panty trend to disappear–probably gonna take a decade or so.
+1 I’d love to see it go away–if these pieces are lined I’ll like them though!
I hope Leighton wears some of this collection. To me Leighton and Jessica Biel probably wear the most Giambattita, so I hope tht they both do this collection justice.
