Padma Lakshmi attended the 2012 CFDA Fashion Awards, held at the Alice Tully Hall in New York City last night.
The TV host was seated directly opposite me during the Naeem Khan Fall 2012 presentation, so I’m not surprised she snapped up this stunning gown.
I also had my eye on this navy-and-black abstract-beaded georgette trumpet gown with a jet fringe beaded bodice, but it was on my wish list for Emily Blunt.
Padma more than does justice to this gown, so the sighting of it on the red carpet fills me with joy.
A braided updo and barely-there makeup provided the finishing touches.

I think that she looks gorgeous but this gown has been on my wishlsit since it was on the runway & I just don’t get the magic from thsi gown on Padma that I was hoping for & expecting.

I am disappointed Emily Blunt’s stylist Jessica Paster didn’t get with the program by snatching this gown for Mrs. Krasinski, I am relieved it finally got its red carpet moment.

I love this gown. She looks lovely.
She’s got the stature to pull off this gorgeous creation but the braided updo is a bit of let down, elegantly slicked back hair would’ve worked better. Her makeup is a bit dull, could’ve accented either eyes or lips just a bit more.
Padma looks incredible, I love this gown and can see why you were eager to see it on the red carpet F.C., the texture and details are gorgeous.
It was one of my favourites from his collection. Padma looks good in it. I think a better pose would have helped.
